3.3 Bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Drunk at home. Caramel brown, clear with a ring of off-white head. Toffee, sticky malt, and peanuts in the aroma with a bit of TCP. It's sweet but not overpoweringly so: there's an earthy hop balance in the latter half of the sip that lingers through to the caramelly, spicy aftertaste. Notes of fresh dates as the fallout disappears. A tough style to bring off at times but I enjoyed this.
3.8 Ar: Tangy overtone and biscuity and toasty malt layers; fairly clean, with caramel backbone. Ap: Amber and hazy; medium-small light tan head, with low retention, settling into a ring of foam and solid haze of cover. T: Clean malt backbone--mixture of toast, biscuit, and caramel; red apple and pineapple; very herbal hop flavor; high, fairly clean bitterness; finish is lingering toast. P: Medium body and steely, with high carbonation; finish is medium-dry. O: A bright showcase of malt and hops; very firmly bitter, but still quite malty; clean and steely, almost bracing in flavor; very nice!
3.3 Bottle, 341 ml at Svijet Piva. shared with JFK10000 and others. Pours dark orange to brown with medium white head. Malty, caramel, some dried fruit, grainy. Light to moderate sweetness. Soft carbonation. Medium bodied. Not my favorite style, but not bad at all.
3.2 375ml bottle (Alus Celle, Riga) (5:4:6:4:13=3.2) Deep red, brief head. Sweet malty aroma, lagery. More serious taste, dry woody bitterness, and not-too-sweet maltiness. Palate full, smooth, a little sticky from sugars, pleasant carbonation. Finish has an almost peppery dryness on the tongue, and a resiny tingle - nice! Did try it with some yeast in, and it was mellower but lacked the bite of the clean pour.

3.8 17th Jan 2017. Surprised and pleased to find this on the shelves at Flor de Llupol in Barcelona: a cold one from the fridge (375ml bottle) and I duly drank it. Ruby hue to the red/brown body, the head a beige affair. Malty, caramel front with some fruitiness later: semi-sweet and very easy to drink: liked it.
3.7 medium, to high, aroma with lot of fruits and alcohol - overripe and well fermented fruits, peach and raisin in alcohol (liqueur + cognac), a lot of flowers. complex, bitter and strong taste - hops, caramel and medicinal plants, cognac with fruits; dry and alcoholic final. good beer!
