3.6 33cl bottle from Lidl. Dark reddish brown with a foamy white head. Aroma is yeast and caramel. Flavour has caramel, citrus, a little spice
3.6 Piwo koloru rubinu klarowne z obfitą pianą. Aromat i smak suszonych ciemnych owoców karmel melasa.
3.8 Bottle from Lidl. Pours slightly hazy ruby with a slightly off white head. Aroma of candy sugar, dried fruits , prune, some wholemeal bread a little roasted malt and caramel. Taste of more candy sugar, caramel, prune , dried fruits & a little molasses. Lightish bodied with a smooth mouthfeel and good carbonation. The finish is dry and sweet with more candy sugar , crème brûlée, dried fruit, caramel & some spicy pepper coming through.
3.8 Bottle from Lidl. Pours a murky mahogany colour with a medium sized thick creamy beige head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, fruit cake, caramel, toffee and candied sugar. Taste has more of the dark fruit tones with more caramel, sticky toffee, burnt brown bread, spice and brown sugar on a slightly sweet and also slightly bitter finish. Thin to medium body, fair carbonation and oily mouthfeel. Nice one.
3.6 Butelka. Ciemny, mahoniowy kolor z rubinowym refleksem. Piana beżowa, obfita, opada powoli. W zapachu i smaku sporo nut suszonych owocow :figi, daktyle, śliwki. W tle ciemny, brązowy cukier, melasa i lekko palony słód. Nuty drożdży i czerwonych jagód Dość słodkie, oleiste o małym wysyceniu. Przyjemne
3.6 Bottle from a cheeky wee 4-pack at Lidl Inverurie. It pours clear darkest ruby with a decent bubbly beige head. The aroma is sweet - sour, loads of dark fruits, cherry, jammy, plum, fig, blackberry, blackcurrant, warming spice, Eccles cake and toasty malt. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, roasted malt, toasty, plenty of juicy tangy dark fruits, plum, fig, blackberry, blackcurrant, fruit cake, sourness, toasty oak, spice, tannin and a touch of alcohol with a toasty dark fruit finish. Medium+ body and moderate, bubbly carbonation. Nice fruity action. Drinks well.
3.4 Flaska från beerhouseshop.be.
Aroma is houtig en fruitig. Smaak is fruitig en licht hoppig. Smaak ebt snel weg.
4.5 Malty, tasty, dark, but not super strong. Aroma of citrus fruits and hay lively and fresh fruit with full body and crispy finish. Medium carbonation, light bitterness. Nose is nutty with mild notes of chocolate, subtle coffee.…

3.4 This is a backlog rating from 2007 from a bottle shared by Matt, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are dark red fruits, caramel, chocolate, lightly tart, not really like a bock.
3.5 Old rating from 2017 - 330ml bottle brought back from Belgium. Pours brown with a white head. Aromas & tastes of dark fruits, earth, bread, grains, burnt sugar, wood, cinnamon & dark bread. Medium body. Mild bitter finish
3.4 330ml bottle. Clear, dark ruby colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Toasty, minimally nutty and chocolately, malty aroma, hints hazelnut, milk chocolate, whiffs of coffee, instant coffee, all accompanied by an earthy, almost fungous touch. Taste is minimally sugary, sweet-ish, slightly nutty, toasty malty, slightly fruity, hints of caramel, cherry bonbon, red berries, a touch of cocoa, coffee, liquorice, moderately bitter, hoppy counterpart. Creamy, oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, creamy carbonation. In a way the most (dark) bock-ish Belgian Dark Ale known to me, malt dominated, sweet-ish, but still finer, lighter, more easy drinkable than a bottom fermented Dark Bock - very nice.
3.9 Aroma; dried fruits, syrup, malts, caramel, wooden barrels, sweetened bark. Look; stable beige head on near clear mahogany body. Taste; soft brown malts, prunes, dried apricots, almond, nut pudding, syrup, toffee, and finishes perfectly sweet. Feel; premium body and smooth co². Overall; it`s as a bokbier should be, sweet with good body. [belgobottle, b@ some shop with beverages abroad, some months ago, T@apartment of PivotekaH7 while waiting for new RBsessions]

3.5 330ml bottle at Gambrinus, Bruges on 04/03/2011. Aroma of dates, plums and caramel. Dark fruit, chewy grain and dark sugars in the flavour. Soft body.
2.0 Sær smag
3.9 Clear red-brown beer with dark white head, smell is typical Belgium beer, herbs, spicy, light sweet, overripe dark fruits, taste is also herbs, spicy, light sweet but not too much, light malty, very good for a beer from Lidl, (I have 0.33l bottle with best-before 04/06/22)
3.6 Enjoyed: Poured from bottle into chalice/trappist glass. Appearance: Deep brown colour with reddish reflection, thick creamy head. Aroma: Malt, maturely fruits, plum. Palate: Medium body, creamy, gentle carbonation. Taste: Sweet, malt, yeast, maturely fruits, gently spices, hint of caramel. Overall impression: Pleasant and tasty. Alcohol is not so sensible.
3.7 Robe brune reflets rubis, limpide. Mousse beige crémeuse. Bonne tenue. Arômes fumé réglisse café esters cassonade biscuits. Goût sucré amertume faible. Texture crémeuse carbonatation très fine moyennement abondante. Bien équilibrée. Bok classique
3.1 330ml bottle from Blizntesy in Moscow. Pours opaque brown with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma is malt, dark fruits, caramel. Taste is medium sweet, chocolate, warming alcohol, yeast and spices. Light bitter finish.
