Aroma : Medium roasted chocolate & sweet caramel malts, brown sugar, hint of liquorice and some soft dark pruney fruit with a light musty/earthy hop note. Taste : As aroma. Thin bodied. Just a bit too sweet and lacking some bitter balance, but by no means terrible, just a fairly average DL/DT
Je trouve cette bière exceptionnelle avec son léger goût de lavande et de chocolat, un vraie d'automne à boire juste après Halloween, avec son arrière goût de potiron !
Bande de fous, elle est pas sucrée, arrêtez de boire vos 8-6, vous n'avez plus de palais

Cette bière de la brasserie de Saverne a un look sympa, très noire, mais beaucoup trop sucrée (un petit côté Desperados en version black). Dommage
Dark brown to black with light brown foam. Malt sweetness dominates. Some roasted notes. Slightly high carbonization.
TRop sucrée et un goût trop quelconque pour moi, pas fan
Can - Pours a clear dark brown with a smallish, bubbly head. Sweet hay aroma. Decent mouthfeel, sweet with chocolate notes. OK
Pite z butelki, ocena spisana z notatek. Piwo ciemne, duża zawartość cukru. Praktycznie smakuje jak cola, nic szczególnego. Wypić i zapomnieć.
Van 't vat. Donkerbruin/Zwart bier met rode gloed en beige schuim. Geur: geroosterde mout, koffie chicorei, karamel. Smaak: zoet, suiker, wat mout en niets anders. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: zoet. Een zoete zwarte pils.

Le goût caramel est dominant et cette bière est sucrée. Trop à mon goût. Elle a de noire que la couleur.
Bière alsacienne de grande qualité, très goûteuse, de couleur noire comme une bière brune, mais ce n'est pas une brune... à boire avec tout
Oh geil, Zucker und Glukosesirup. Da überrascht es nicht, dass der süße Kern alles weitere überlagert. Hat einen malziges Karamellaroma aber ohne feine Anteile wie ein Porter. Der Zucker verpfuscht den Geschmack ähnlich stümperhaft wie ich meine Diktatnoten in der Schule, nachsitzen bitte.

On tap. Clear brown color with beige head. Aroma has sweet, sugary malt and a bit of dark bread crust. Taste is malty, sugary and sweet. Feels light and dry but it's also sweet and sugary at the same time.
Ich habe dieses Bier bei Denner in der Schweiz erworben -wie es hierher komet...ich habe keine Ahnung. Offenbar hatte der hiesige Einkäufer Geschmacksverwirung. Wie bereits erwähnt ist das Bier aus der pechschwarzen Dose ebenso schwarz und schmecht eigentlich nur nach Zucker. Fast könnte man denken, dass man hier Cola trinkt. Wie dieses Bier den Preis "saveur de l'annee 2013", auf den in großen Lettern auf der Dose hingewiesen wird, bekommen konnte, ist mir ein Rätsel. Ich kenne enige Leute die mögen solch süßes Ber, für die ist es sich etwas feines, für den Bierkenner aber eher nicht.
Oct 2018. 330ml bottle, filtered, bought from Leclerc, Saint Cyr, during the Paris-Versailles weekend. Smooth sweet easy drinking dark beer. This is simple stuff. but surprisingly tasty. It's kind of more like a coke than a beer, but refreshing and very quaffable. Light and thirst-quenching body with plenty of flavours to make drinking it quite enjoyable. Not a serious beer, but something I would be quite happy to drink again.
Robe noire, mousse brune assez abondante. Nez plutôt caramélisé. En bouche, c'est extrêmement sucré, beaucoup trop! On n'est pourtant as dans la subtilité, ou le riche et agréable, style barley wine... Certains l'adorent, d'autres la détestent, j'ai choisi mon camp...
F: big, light tanned, not very long lasting.
C: brow to dark, red hue against the light, clear.
A: dark malts, grassy, bit caramel, floral.
T: watery caramel, chocolate and coffee but very weak, light body and medium carbonation, real joke for the style but cheap as hell, only for tick, 0,5l can from Carrefour supermarket in Rethel, France.
Pours a deep amber-brown with off white head. Malty sweet aroma and taste. A bit syrupy.

33 cl. bottle. A brown coloured beer with a light brown head. Aroma and flavour of malt, caramel, grain, spice and with a bitter finish.
Bottle. Clear reddish brown colour with a medium quickly disappearing tan head, nose is fruity, sour and a bit roasty and boozy with notes of cherries, apples anr, taste is mostly very sweet and only slightly roasty with a minimal tartness in the finish and a weak carbonation.

Color negro corona de espuma beige, aromas torrefactos, sabor cafe, dulce, cuerpo ligero, floja
On tap at the Loose Moose. Pours a dark orangey brown colour with modest-sized light tan head. Aroma is lightly roasty with fruit and light chocolate. Flavour has lots of fruity character with light roast and a little chocolate. Average body. Solid.
75cl bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May 18. Many thanks Jeremy for muling this all the way from Dunkirk. Pours deep hazed dark, off white creamy head. Nose is lightly sweet dark malt. Taste is smooth, light-bodied with a pleasant sweetness, fairly straightforward schwarzbier territory but not unpleasant. Surprised by the extremely low ratings to be honest.
66cl bottle: BB Feb 19. Bought by me at Auchan, Grande-Synthe and shared on 29th May 18 at the Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting in Chez Sophie. Not black at all, dark mahogany really, beige topping. Fairly sweet and very malty, a bit thin body depth wise and one dimensional in nature. A little disappointed as I thought this might have been interesting, it wasn't.
La couleur est amusante, mais ça reste aromatisé avec beaucoup de sucre! Dommage, la bio elle est bonne!
33 cl bottle, dark brown to black colour, pours with a thick foam, which drops fast. Taste isn’t bad. Smells not appealing. Sweet aftertaste.

Mousse pâle très éphémère.
Dominance sucrée au nez , couleur noir tirant sur lerouge ,arôme en bouche légèrement touraillé épice en fin de bouche, amertume légère.
Matière en bouche agréable, le palais est rapidement saturé en sucre.
Peu d'intérêt a la dégustation, se tend vers une consomation festive.
Une bière brune douce aux premiers abords. Un goût de caramel avec des notes de fruits secs. Un bière au goût légèrement fumé.
Une belle surprise ! A découvrir. Très désaltérante. A déguster avec un bon plateau de charcuteries.
Biere en petite bouteille très moyenne. Gout fade et écoeurant de part la sensation pateuse
