Our traditional Kriek Cuvée René Grand Cru is brewed with wild yeast from the surrounding air, water, malted barley, wheat, aged flower hop flowers and selected wild cherries. Deep cherry red clear body, tart taste with a moderate sourness and an authentic cherry skin presence. No added sugar.
Note: ABV known to be in the 5%-7% range, seemingly depending on the batch.

4.0Bottle pour, brown with a red tint. Sour cherry aroma. Very tart with a nice light funk note. The cherries really stand out and tastes just like a tart cherry. Nice light brown bread note to it.
4.1Solid lambic.Very tart & sour cherries, bitter bubbly taste
4.1750ml bottle, dated December 7, 2016, nearly 4 years in the bottle.
Clear dark red with a column of rising bubbles. Short pink fizzy head with no retention - it was a race to get the aroma with any head at all left. No lacing.
Aroma is a complex of fruit (indistinct at this point, but the label says it should be cherry), tart acidity, funky and earthy.
Taste is definitely cherry, as taken directly from the trees in my uncle's back yard in Michigan. As with his cherries, it is quite tart and acidic, but not to the level of being truly sour. The earthy funkiness nicely balances the tart cherry, resulting in a beer that, while still on the sweet side, is well back from the level of sweetness in the framboise. The tartness is much more prevalent than the framboise as well. The tart acid provides even a bit of a drying effect in the finish and aftertaste. As the beer warms, the tartness becomes more and more prominent in the flavor, initial, middle, on the finish and into the aftertaste. So, in the end, the lasting effect is not sweet at all. While 7% isn't exactly huge, the alcohol is, nonetheless, not a factor in the taste.
Mouth feel is on the thin side of moderate with the tartness and carbonation providing a tingling sensation.
Overall, a much more enjoyable and refreshing beer than the framboise. This one I very well might make a repeat purchase.
4.1Funky, tart and sour, cloudy red, cherry, horse blanket, funk, very sour, wine, thin body, fizzy.

4.0375ml bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. 2017 blend. Pours deep red/purple, with very fine pink foam. Aroma is intense of cherries, berries, barrel, a little vinegar. Body is just a little dense, with nice tickling carbonation and a marked astringency. Taste is markedly sour, with some acetic too, and a little sweetness in the final.
3.7Aromat pestek wiśni i młodych niedojrzałych wiśni. W smaku kwaśne, taninowe, wytrawne.
3.9Really nice aroma of cherries, marzipan and classic geuze

3.5Red, hazy, pink beerhead, ok retention. Fruity sourness, cherry sweetness, slightly funky, and elegant fruity. Low bitterness, soft carbonation, crispy.
4.1Blend 2019. Znakomite piwo.
3.7Bottle, "2014" (bottled Dec 2015). Pours deep brownish red. Nose is cherries, light vinegar, tart, red berries, leather. Tastes rather sour and tart, dry, cherries, wood, lingering sour and dry finish.
3.3Drinking the 2018 Blend.
Bright red with a frothy head. Lambic style beer smell with a certain vinegar acidity and a note of sour cherries. Not as good in taste. The lambic acidity and a certain dry bitterness are there, but there's a lack of depth in taste.
Maybe I opened this bottle a couple of years too early.
3.7Bottle @ home. Deep red w a small off-white head, quickly gone. Aroma medium tart and sour cherries and wood. Flavor light sweet fruit, then tart and sour cherries, leather, wood, despithe that not extreme dry. Medium body, average+ carbonated.
5.0Dark red in color. Lot of cherries on the nose then the sourness and tartness hits you like a brick wall. Really a great lambic beer
3.43-year old bottle. Pours deep red with some bubbling on the glass and a notable effervescence. Off-white 1-finger head that was gone quickly. Aroma of tart-sour cherry with a bit of wood. Medium bodied and oily, but with some fizziness. Finish is long, with a light dryness to it. Woody and sour cherry flavors with a wine-like tartness at the back.
4.3Clear red with pink head. Cherry and roses. Very crisp and balanced acid and sweetnes and fruit.

4.3Bottle from Philippe. Pours dark ruby some frothy head minimal lacing. Notes of cherry pie, tart cherries, some lemon. Taste medium tart light sweet. Medium acidic body lively carbonation.
3.5Grapefruit and some cherry. Lot of acidity, probably a little too much for my liking. Deep Ruby red pour with decent head and living champagne type look. Bottle.
3.8Pink/red appearance. Aroma is tart and cherry. Flavour is tart, cherry, bitter and dry.
3.8Bottle. 2016 date on it. Bought from a supermarket in Brussels. Took it down the byo kebab shop. Purple. Medium haze. Super dense, lasting, pink head. Nose has funk. Cherry stone. Cardboard. Taste is tart and lightly sour. Some cherry sweetness. Light to medium body. Foamy carbonation. Tart, light sharp finish. Barring the cardboard this was great.
Gott!
