Little Valley Python IPA

Little Valley Python IPA

Cask; Seasonal - December. Also available bottle conditioned.
Light brown IPA.Powerful floral, minty and grassy aroma with a straw like colour and long bitter finish. Original IPA (stronger and very hoppy). This beer will easily survive a long journey to India.

2.4 33cl bottle purchased at Le Comptoir irlandais. Caen. June 2019.
3.1 Bière 33 cl trouvée au comptoir irlandais. Robe ambrée pale. Au nez, houblons herbeux, céréales. Attaque moyen amère, agrume. Bonne carbonation. Sympa sans plus, mais j'ai de manière générale une préférence pour les IPA américaines. A restester pour me faire une opinion définitive.
3.1 Overrijp mandarijntje in de neus... redelijke zoet bitter balans... heel erg simpel
Bonne carbo, bonne longueur. IPA anglaise bien réalisée.
3.4 Pours cloudy copper with low white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, light citrus. Taste is mild marmalade bitter with a light bready finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.
3.1 Bottle, Booths Fulwood. Slightly hazy amber gold, white foam. Hmm slightly odd one this, the general profile came across a bit yeasty and a bit muddled, but over the bottle a firm, robust hoppy note started to assert itself, quite sharp actually, herbal and earthy. I quite like the hopping, but the malty/yeasty element needs a bit more definition. As a random aside I always think that any good English IPA has to be awesome with a strong, crunchy cheddar; the wishy washy malts here meant this one failed to shine in this role, implying something could be improved.
2.9 500ml brown bottle poured into a pint glass. Appearance is hazy orange with a large frothy beige head. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit pith, toast, pine and floral notes. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium-full bodied, smooth texture and average carbonation. Overall mediocre, a bit muddy and too malty flavour profile.
3.4 Grapefruit pith, light body. Not amazing but decent enough. Nice
4.0 Den har de Bitre noter fra en ipa, den har dog de engelske udgave med en afbalanceret humle.
2.6 500 ml bottle at Amorella. Amber with beige head. Dark caramel, overly ripe fruits, slight compost, light liquorice, herby notes. Nah.
2.3 @ Basunen 18-1-6: Doftar gummi. Rätt torr humla. Nja inget för mig egentligen
2.7 Pours amber with a moderately large head. Aroma of hops and pine. Doesn’t really work for me - a big claggy, a bit muddy, no finesse.
5.0 Lovely beer bought locally from a Post Office selling quality ales. Bought my standard batch and liked the look of this one. First grab out of the fridge and thought maybe for later but cracked it anyway. Sat outside in the sun, cracking beer. Full of flavour, nice and hoppy and dark amber in colour and held a good head whilst quaffing! Got the party started at 6%, should have bought more. Will be buying again.
3.2 Appearance is quite a dark amber, with a solid thick off-white head. Aroma- caramel malt, toffee, toast, raisin hints. Taste- bitter hops, earthy malt, dark fruit undertones, forest floor, orange, hints of plum and blackcurrant. Fluffy mouthfeel, bitter finish.
2.8 Pours hazy gold. Aroma is of weed(!). Taste is very bitter lingering citrus. Quite thin and drying.
4.2 This full bodied IPA tastes great with all the yeast poured into the glass. I drink it from a Duval glass. First have a little without the yeast poured in then a second serving with the entire bottle yeast an all! It’s not what you might expect as it’s not like an English or American IPA. It most reminds me of some of the core range from Jopen Bier or De Molen. Like the other offerings from Little Valley this is earthy & natural - the real deal! How beer should taste!
2.8 Pours cloudy copper with low white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, light citrus. Taste is mild marmalade bitter with a light bready finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.
2.7 Brilliant white rocky head stayed well on a hazy dark orange coloured body. Minimalist hoppy aroma. Medium body. Sharp & dry on the palate. Very cloying. Bitter pith tastes of citrus, grapefruit, orange & hops. Typical English IPA - but I’m enjoying this one.
3.1 Butelka 500ml. Ciemno zloty kolor przechodzacy w miedziany. Piana biala ,obfita, ladnie utrzymuje sie w szkle. Aromat lekkich cytrusow, kwiatow owocow tropikalnych. W smaku dosc slodkawe .cytrusowo-owocowe z kwiatowymi nutami w tle. Delikatna goryczka na finiszu.
2.5 from backlog. bottle. pours amber with big frothy head. smell and taste are grass, citrus, malt, fruit. slightly watery brit ipa.
3.0 Pours amber with medium thick white head. Aroma is grass, citrus, some fruits, dry, light metallic notes. Taste is quite same, some tropical fruit notes light sweetness added. Nice refreshing beer!
3.1 Bottle conditioned. Pours a dark orange colour with a fluffy white head, aroma is floral, the taste is medium bitterness with some fruit with a dry bitter finish.
2.8 No detail review for this. Didnft feel like IPA but still ok beer...................
3.2 Cask pint. Very much an old school IPA, actually far more powerful than the stronger American style ones I’d had early on in the session. Big juicy potency, almost overpowering sweetness, also a herbal thing going on. Pours pale with white head. Wavering between a 12 and a 13, but I’m going 13 just because I like the style.
3.0 How: Bottle. Where: Viking Line. Appearance: Golden colour with a white head. Aroma: Floral, grass, pine. Body: Medium body and carbonation. Flavour: Floral, malt, fruit, grass.
3.6 Bottle. Orange IPA body with a steady medium tall head. Soft hoppy aroma with some red apples and sour citric fruits. Smooth mouthfeel with ripe red apples and orange juice in taste. Pretty sweet and fruity, not piney at all. Finish has a nicely balanced bitterness that doesn’t override the sweet and fruity body. At times it feels like drinking orange juice (in a good way). Rather good, it seems to be underrated here.
2.7 0.5l pullo, BBE sep-2017. Tummankuparinen väri, ok vaahtoava joka jää huterasti reunoille. Maltaisen sammunut mutta oudon raikkaahko tuoksu, maku tunkkaisehko, outo, vetisen laimea mutta karvas mallasfiilis. OK, mutta ei mun juttu.
3.5 Bottle. Slightly hazy light Golden color, small tan head. Hoppy taste, but not a lot of neither fruit or bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.5 Bottle from Old Shambles Tavern in York. Appearance - deep amber with a generous fluffy head. Nose - hint of red fruit. Lightly grassy. Taste - toffee with green apples. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - pretty good.
