Löwenbräu München Original

Löwenbräu München Original

Brewed since 1383, Löwenbräu is still produced in Munich and is brewed according to the German Reinheitsgebot (purity law) that dates back to 1516. It’s a refreshing yet characteristic beer, slightly dry, spicy, with a trace of malt and delicately bitter.

1.9 Golden color, small white head. Aromas of bread, grass and minerals. Taste of malt, grass, alcohol and slight sugar.
3.5 Belle blonde efficace.
4.0 Really good, would get again
2.8 Puszka.
2.9 Bottle. Golden beer with an off-white head. Light malt and light mineral aroma. Malt and light mineral flavor. Medium bodied. Malt and light mineral notes linger.
3.4 Decent whit head. High carbonation. Bready , malty aroma. Some malt , some citrus hop flavour and some bitterness. Overall , a decent commercial lager
0.0 Tap pint at Ryan’s, Northfields. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt. Sweet taste and finish.
2.1 Bottle 0.45 l. Brewed by Klinskiy Pivokombinat (AB InBev-Efes). Golden, transparent, white foam. Aroma: sulfur-spicy hops, grassy, light malt, a little soap. Taste: a little sweet, candy, a little cookies, a little herbaceous-spicy hops, mild bitterness, clean and faceless.
3.7 0,5l can. A clear golden beer with a rich creamy white head and adequate carbonation. Aroma with notes of malts, grains, herbs, straw and some citrus. Slightly bitter flavour with notes of floral malts, herbal hops and bread. Herbal aftertaste.
3.4 Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear golden colour with a medium sized fluffy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, grass, bread and also a metallic note. Taste has the same notes with that metallic note lingering on the finish. Thin to medium body, fairly low carbonation and smooth oily mouthfeel. Ok but nothing more than that.
3.0 Blonde allemande agréable à boire
3.4 A lager with some taste. Good alone and perfect with pretzels. No aroma though
2.1 To be honest one of the worst beers I have try. The aroma is nice with wheat and crism nose. The taste is very watery and sweet and the beer can't give you some kind of bitterness. Is like you drink a water with alcool. The carboration is nowhere and that is bad for a German Lager beer. The mouthfeel very bad and the finish has little bit of bitterness. All in all, very bad experience. I prefer to drink some soda instead of this beer.
2.3 Burk från SB. Kristallklar, ljust guldig med vit krona. Lite sött maltig med väldigt lite inbyggd broms.
2.8 Lys med fint skum. God humleduft.
2.9 Tap at Csaka.
Golden, grainy malt aroma, medium bodied, grainy malt, grassy, hint of apple. Pleasant Helles Lager from Munich 🇩🇪
2.8 Tap at the prae wood Arms St Albans. A clear golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is semi sweet, clean, little apple,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, clean simple malts, apple, custard, eatery,. Palate is crisp, semi sweet, highish carbonation. Bit too eatery.
2.3 This is a backlog rating from 2008 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are sweet and grainy malts, grassy, watery, pass.
3.1 A bit like VB but doesn’t hurt.
2.8 Nalewa się złote, klarowne, bardzo obfita piana. Zapach wydaje sie fest metaliczny, lekko ziołowowo-słodowy. Jak na styl cełkiem pełne, fajnie nagazowane. W smaku miodowe, lekko kartonowe, chmiel kwiatowy. Taki słodki hellesik.
2.4 Accompaniment for burgers on Peter’s birthday. Gold with a fleeting, foamy, white head. Soft, malty aroma has a mix of perfume, butter and stale grain. Taste is grainy bitter the whole way through, rough around the edges. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not much fun to drink.
2.8 4 miechy po terminie. Ar: Dortmunder ewidentny, slod, intensywnosc bardzo niska, ot lager lepszej jakosci. Wyg: slomka w lekkie zloto, klar, piania ring, szybko znika, ultra drobna. Sm: wysycenie wysokie, slod, gladkie, wysoka pijanosc, wodniste. Pos: slod, lekko slodko. Ov: Bez wad, klasyczny nudny Helles.
2.9 50cl bottle. Had both chilled outside a beer shop and relaxing at home. Pours light, clean beautiful golden with a nice white head. Light aroma of grains, grass and cereal. Taste wise doesn't offer much more but i like the way it tastes, easy drinking, crisp with the right malt sweetness (not as much as other helles which i sometimes find too redundant for my personal preference) the right carbonation and a slight touch of bitter in the end. I find it a simple and straightforward helles, not the most complex or flavored one but pretty drinkable and balanced. A little mild maybe but very appreciable cold. On par with the Spaten Helles i would say. Good enough one for the style if you ask me.
4.1 Fresh
4.7 Lovely lager - light, bright and bubbly. Decent white head, aromas of grass and cereal. Clean and crisp with balanced maltiness.
