Logsdon Szech 'n Brett

Fishermen enjoy a beverage while casting away. Whether fishing or imbibing, there are limits, whether it be a 5 leader or 5 liters. Saisons were brewed back in the day for farm workers with a 5 liter daily limit, a satiating standard that would allow for ample thirst quenching in any condition while still being able to complete the task at hand, both then and now. Our session-style Szechuan Brett was designed to do just that. Whether farming or fishing, a little lighter beer extends the limit, a little pepper spice provides a little more character without over doing. What ever you limit is, enjoy our Szech ’n Brett, have a good catch, we do!

3.6 From a bomber poured in a Pint. Exploded with bubbles when I opened it - some spontaneous fermentation going on there, it definitely wasn’t shaken up. Didn’t taste infected though but did smell like vinegar. Flavor was tart and medium bodied with good juicy fruit flavor. Not bad, but I was expecting a lot more and was especially disappointed by the foamy mess I got opening the bottle.

3.4 750ml capped bottle gushed when I snapped the cap and pours a hazy golden color with a finger and a half of fizzy white head that dissipates quickly leaving no lacing on the glass. Aroma is pepper and basil with some lemon and grains. Taste is a lemony tartness with a light fruity and malty sweetness finishing with the basil and pepper notes. Light to medium bodied with abundant carbonation. Overall, a well crafted brew that suits the style well. Recommended.
