We've brewed our filtered IPA for 13 years, and never considered offering the REAL (unfiltered) version that is naturally carbonated just as it comes out of our fermenters. Well here it is! We hope you enjoy our REAL IPA.

3.0Bottle. Not a bad one from these guys. Some caramel notes, tropical fruit and pine. There is some grapefruit and floral notes in this finish.
I did find it a bit thin in the body.
3.5not a bad beer at all, actually quite good compared to the rest of long trails line up. bright orange with aroma of lemon and orange zest with a little grapefruity zing, taste is similar with the added english malt vareity sweetness. a good overall east cost ipa.
3.3Bouteille de 12oz. Merci Patrick.
3.0Draft at Coles, Buffalo, NY. Golden colored pour. Mild hop presence in the aroma. Flavor has some grassy bitterness, mild garden weeds. OK IPA
3.0A bit more fruit mixed with the floral hoppiness than I find in most IPAs, but still a decent finish. The honey-like sweetness seems like a bit of a distraction.
3.1Poured dark, cloudy honey with a small head. Left a nice lace. Mild aroma of hops and florals. Flavors are nice slight sweetness, and good hoppy bitterness. Average body, light bubble, long bitter on the palate. not a bad IPA.
2.6Small white head. Cloudy. Bitter and grassy taste. A slight creamy mouth feel. Medium bodied. Average carbonation. A bitter and sour finish. I’m not digging the after taste on this one.
3.512 oz bottle. A good tasting IPA, not real heavy on the hops, but drinkable for non IPA drinkers. Pours a cloudy yellow, I like the unfiltered brews, decent aroma of hops, well balanced. Not a lot of complexity, but good CO2. A lightly hopped brew, bitter finish. Overall, a good brew.
3.2From the 12 fl. oz. marked 121310-1063. It pours an unfiltered cloudy orange-amber with a nice half-inch fizzy head. The aroma tends to be sweeter than most IPA’s that I have tried with the hops more in there as a subtle afterthought. Those that are there are piney and earthy. Thin to medium body. The taste starts out sweet but the bitterness kicks in on each subsequent sip. A milder IPA than many.
3.4Bottle. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Floral and fruity aroma. Floral and pine flavor with light tropical fruits. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Tropical fruits linger with floral notes and malt.
3.0Bottle. Hazy orange amber with a thin bright wide head. The aroma is interesting -- musty yet fruity too. The beer drinks with a sweet citric base, coupled with a different gristy feel unusual for such a sweet beer. Good. (#4167, 7/16/2011)
2.7grapey grapefruit alcohol aroma. gold with big foamy white head. a little can lagery flavor but with good grapefruit. passable in a pinch but something’s not quite right about this one.
3.5Bottle from Half Time. Pours light amber gold with a foamy/creamy 2 finger off-white head. Aroma is floral with some mild citrus and a little caramel. Mouthfeel is rather lush. Flavor is very floral/citrus and almost hides the caramel. Quite hoppy, though not burningly bitter, and with time there’s some graprefruit rind detectible. Good stuff.
3.1Bottle brought from Vermont by Grandpa Bill - thanks! Pours a foamy yellowish-orange with a lot of floaties. Aroma is faintly oranges with bread dough and wheat. Taste is a bit citrusy, sweet and light with some more of that straw/wheatiness. Finishes very light with some bitterness.
2.5I normally like most of the Long Trail beer, but this unfiltered IPA didn’t do much for me. Rather bland with a funky aftertaste. I wouldn’t drink this again.
2.3Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a hazy light orange color with a small, foamy, stark white head. Lots of carbonation action. The nose has a bit of pine, solvent, grain, and light fruitiness. That solvent note carries through in the taste where there is some pine, florals, and light graininess. This brew is very astringent. Light to medium body with medium carbonation and an eerie fruity astringent finish. Aside from an odd taste, this has a strange mouthfeel. Skip this one.
5.0Tops in my book. Perfection in a bottle. Easy to drink, flavorful IPA that will keep you coming back to the beer store for more.
2.9This is my first unfiltered IPA. It poured with a frothy head that filled the glass. The lacing ran up and down the glass. The ale lacked some body and the bitter taste of the hops was balanced and smooth through the finish. It is an interesting ale to tatse and compare but not one that I would keep in my refrigerator.
3.712oz bottle. Murky glowing orange, thin lacy off-white head. On the heavier side of medium bodied, quite a nice session IPA. Lots of citrus..grapefruit, orange, lemon..maybe a touch of ginger in the finish. Mellow but lots of fresh, assertive, hop character. A solid East Coast IPA.
2.6Bottle into glass. Poured a very light golden color, cloudy (unfiltered as advertised). Head dissipated fairly quick. Light sweetness for an IPA. Tasted more raw- prob b/c of the unfiltered. Light body, thin. Abrupt finish; Reminds me like one of my old homebrews. This a low hoppyness/bitterness IPA. One of the more sweeter than bitter IPAs I’ve had.
3.312 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy orange with a medium white head, leaving spotty lacing. Flat, doughy aroma with some citrusy hop scents . Flavour of citrus hops and not much else. Sub par IPA.
2.5A: snifter. pours a clear mostly yellow color with a orange hue. yellowish-white head with a low retention rate and light lacing.
S: weird aroma, almost smells like epoxy...seriously. mild sweet malt aromas, with a nice tangy hop smell taking over.
T: very mild flavor. it tastes like the hop flavors have been dropped out, could be an old bottle, but there are no date on the bottle. mild malt flavor with an equally mild hop flavor...tastes like a hoppy kolsch.
M: low body with a moderate carbonation level. smooth and crisp, but seems watery.
D: I think that this was an old bottle, based on other reviews. But I could be wrong(it was acquired in a recent trade). I could drink several of these, even with the off flavors.
2.912 ounce bottle Poured a great looking hazy, orange amber hue with a white head. Aroma had a nice pine presence to it but had strong caramel malt notes. Flavor needed a little more of a hop bite to it. The malts were mainly caramel and really nothing special. Finish was crisp, but the body was light.
3.7Hazy golden small white head.... not a ton of aroma, some citrus hops... citrus hops up front, thin body, somewhat creamy body... decent,
3.0Aroma:The mild aroma on this one is sweet and fruity, with a little grapefruit. Some hoppyness, but not as much as I expect from an IPA.
Appearance:Pale gold in color, very clear. Medium lacing, poor to medium head retention.
Taste:The first taste of this gave me a nice strong hop bite, with apricots in the background. On subsequent tastes, some astringency rears up. Throughout the whole beer, there’s a pleasant sweetness with mild peach and apricot flavors.
Palate:There’s an astringent bite to this beer that burns the back of my throat a little bit. Carbonation is good.
Overall:I like this IPA, but it’s got some minor flaws that prevent it from being really great.
3.3Not bad for an everyday I.P.A. The aroma wasn’t as good as i expected, but nice. The brewery is close to my home town so the freshness was a plus. Tried the original IPA and liked this one more. Most disappointing part of the brew was its lack of palate stimulation. Enjoyable nonetheless.
3.7(bottle) This is a mild IPA. None of the bite or bitterness. Pours a bight hazy yellow with ample white head. Clean hoppy taste. A good session beer for warm weather. The price point is perfect to have on hand all summer.
4.0On tap at Battleship Brewhouse. Pours a deep golden color. Aroma is full of hops, citrus, and some pine. Flavor is basically the same but with a little more citrus than I expected. Leaves a nice citrusy hops finish. Eerily similar to Southern Tier’s Unearthly.
3.7Real nice super piney nose, earthy, almost a little woody with hints of citrus pith here and there. Pours hazy golden, no head or lace at all. Piney, almost sprucey, citrus pith, earth notes, wood, light sweet orange flavors. Danky finish. Medium chewy hop resins. Enjoyable and unique IPA with high rate of drinkability.
