Lord Hobo Boom Sauce

Lord Hobo Boom Sauce

Our flagship IPA features six hop varietals and a blend of spelt, oat and wheat. A late hop addition of Mosaic, Falconer’s Flight and Amarillo delivers a notable citrus and tropical fruit finish.

4.5 Wegmans weekend of beer. This is the best double ipa I have had in a long long while. That said, I just threw down 200 bucks on 12 four packs for my European buddies who really know beer and will await their feedback on this one and the others. This one is brewed in Woburn, MA which makes it all the better.
3.7 Restrained tropical citrus aroma in a hazy golden amber pour. Hop forward balance with a smooth fruity body and sustained bitter finish. An excellent take on the style (as befits a ‘flagship’ beer).
3.6 Can. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus and pine. Flavor of pine, citrus, grapefruit, grass, tropical fruit and light pepper.
3.4 Twelve ounce can. Refreshing. Nice and hoppy but not to bitter. It has a nice kick and a good, medium, thicker mouthfeel than many other IPAs.

3.8 On draft at Trio in Kitty Hawk. Pours a slightly hazy copper with a thick white head. Aromas of tropical fruit. Flavors are bitter pine and citrus.
3.9 Short head when poured. Great sense of aroma. Full in the mouth. Great flavors of citrus. Dry finished.
3.5 0,473 litre can from 7-11 Carlsbad, Ca. Pale yellow with white head. Malts, hops, citrus, pine, bitterness.
3.7 Nothing special until you taste it. Golden and solid body. Faint smell to me, but the wife said lemon rind. Taste is full, a little hoppy and smoky. I like it, easy going down.
3.5 Can at home. Orange color, middle foam size. Good balanced beer. Drinkable and fits into style.
3.7 47,3cl Can @ BrewDog Online Store, Fraseburgh, United Kingdom. Hazy amber colour with a medium size white head. Aroma is hops, citrus, tropical fruits, pine. Taste is hops, citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, resin, malt, sweet. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.7 Pours a clear copper with a white foam head. Aroma is dank hops. Flavor is herbal, floral, and dank hops. Pretty good.
4.2 Good solid double IPA, bittersweet and full bodied.
3.8 Beautiful pour, hazy orange with a large fluffy head with pretty lacing. Fragrant malts to the nose, with a good addition of tropical fruits and citrus. Tastes bitter, good mixed malts body, bitter and fruity hops for a dry and bitter finish. Crisp and refreshing, sessionable besides its 7.8%, a good old school DIPA.
5.0 Best beer I’ve had in a long time.
3.8 Good mixture of aromatic hops, causing a piney / fruity aroma and tangy hop taste.
3.7 15-07-19 // tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas And now on tap fresher than the can in May. Hazy yellow. Big white head. Fruity tea nose. Hoppy and bitter. Mild tropical sweet. Good.
3.4 Amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of tangerine and pineapple. Bitter with subtle bittersweet undertones. Nice balance. Refreshing.
3.5 32 oz growler pours an amber color with a nice white head. Aromas of pine, resin, grapefruit rind. Full bodied, very nice.
3.4 On draft at the brewpub. Nose is pineapple, passion fruit, grapefruit, some caramel. Flavour is heavy grapefruit, booze, some sweet malts. Boozy bitter finish.
3.0 Pours with a nearly white, 1" head, carbonation still rising and decent lacing. Aroma and taste is both pine and citrus, more on the pine. More bitter then I expected and finishes slightly more dry and bitter than I would like. It's good but not great. I'd go for Six Point Resin or Elysian Space Dust first.

3.6 6/10/19 With A about to watch last pirates. Nose is bright tropical hops with a faint grassy note. Taste is light, bright & floral. Lots of hops. Low/moderate bitterness, slight sweetness and maybe even a bit of tart/sour flavor. Medium weight palate with good carbonation. A lot more earthy hop bitterness comes through at the end. Overall, a tasty light IPA. Nothing off but doesn’t have tons of character either.
3.5 Strangely shy. Should be high powered at near 8% but not the case. Some orange and citrus late is nice. Don't get me wrong - pretty good.
4.0 March canning date means this pint’s getting a little long in the tooth for a new-school IPA, but, looking at the other reviews, maybe age has done Boom Sauce some favors. Heavy passion fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, and berry are offset by pine and resin, underlined by a subtle grainy, caramel-tinged note and a dry, warm finish. Clingy bitterness on the fade. Very nice DIPA.
3.9 The aroma is mild hops, some wheat. Pours a clear copper-orange, with white head fully diminishing and excellent lacing. The taste is a medium bitter, very nice. The body is medium/full, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish bitter and long. Very Good!
3.1 Can. Hazy golden head with a frothy white head. Aroma to pine, resin, citrus, grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Lots of hop flavors, but rough around the edges with the malts and hops getting in each other's way. Lingering bitterness.
3.4 Draft at Craft Breww City. Pours a clear orange with a finger of foam that dissipates. Mild grapefruit and pineapple aromas. Caramel, pine and overripe orange on the palate. Medium to low bitterness on the finish. A bit low on the carbonation.
2.3 Intense hop notes of citrus and pine, with a bit of woody aged hop character. Nicely un-chunky hazy gold with a persistent dense white head and good lacing. Not strongly bitter, but still a bit harsh overall. Hops are resinous, but malt sweetness still comes through. Very thick.
3.6 Bottle or can from random deli in Brooklyn. No BB date. Doesn't look very hazy. Nor is there any depth to the resinous aroma - it's rather faint really. Tastes kinda waxy resinous spicy with juicy fruity overall character. Thick on the palate, good malty backbone, fine mellow carbonation. Overall a rather beautiful IPA.
