A smooth, full-bodied nut brown ale, lightly hopped with a hint of roasted and crystal malts. This ale is dark in color without the heavy taste of porter or stout.

3.6Brown with lighter tones, aroma is quite light. Tastes malty, nutty, smooth, lightly hopped but enough bitterness to balance. Some sugar and darker sugar.
3.0Muy rica. Justa de cuerpo (que no corta), sabores de frutos secos, caramelo, muy bien carbonatada. Color marrón oscuro sexy. Birrote
3.0Bottle shared, thanks Alex/Tyler! Clear amber brown with beige head. Aromas of malt, toffee. Tastes of malt, caramel, toffee. Medium-light body with a dry finish.
3.5Bottle; pours clear brown with a tan head; aroma of chocolate, some roast malts, and hints of nuts; taste is slightly sweet with chocolate, nuts, and some light roasted malt; finish is dry
3.2Bottle, South Richmond version of Total Wine. Pours brown with a dusting of an off-white head. There’s some shit floating in the beer. Aroma is caramel, fall leaves. Flavor is sweet caramel malts, not too sweet, some browning leaves. Not a lot else. It’s fine, simple, but totally downable.
3.312-ounce bottle pours brown with spritz of tan head and lacing with chunks of live yeast floating in the glass. Aroma: faint brown sugar and nuts. Flavor: same as aroma. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, somewhat creamy. Tasty and drinkable, but a bit too thin for style.
3.5From old tasting notes. Tawny deep brown color. Small brief beige head. Faint toasted malt aroma. Light caramel malt flavor with hints of chocolate. Smooth and flavorful.
3.412oz bottle on 4th Feb 2017 at my daughters new place in Laguna Niguel. Nice brown body, beige head: malty lead which carried through to the finish. Aroma had malty molasses and chocolate notes, taste just followed on with semi-sweet maltiness and chocolate flavours.
3.6Bottle from Lucky in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is roasted malts, some chocolate. Taste is light roasted malts. I mean it’s a Brown Ale.
3.5Dark Amber to light brown color with off white/cream colored head. Aromas and flavors are balanced nicely between nuttiness, caramel, toast, and subtle roast and florals. An easy drinking sessionable brown.
3.8Nut brown aroma with a smooth pole in the body with brown sugar and walnut. A nice and refreshing brown ale.
3.0355ml bottle from Jumbo Costanera Center. Santiago, Nov. 2016 Pours a cloudy brown color with a big off-white head that diminishes quicky and leaves a small lacing. Aroma is a mixed bag of caramel, some cocoa, raisins, nuts and some apples, herbs and berries. More malty, but still some hops there. Taste is a bit uneven and unclean, but still packs a punch of toasted and caramel malts. The acidity and herbal/fruity bitterness doesn’t get along very well with it though. Medium body. Fairly drinkable, just not my cup of tea. I like my Brown Ales maltier, woodier and nuttier.
3.4Clear dark ruby with a small off white head. Aroma is faint raisins with some dried fruits. Flavor is slightly toast malts, with some raisins and a touch of butterscotch. Medium to light palate. OK brown ale.
3.5Pours up a clear brown, and moderately thick, off white head. Light toasted malt aroma. Rich and robust, slick and sublime, lots of dark malts with hints of molasses sweetness round out to a nice nutty taste. The latest batch have been a little more watery than before.
2.8Clean and crisp but lacks the earthy nuttiness and chocolate character of other browns. A bit dry with some powdered chocolate. Mild hops and a nip of tartness shows in the finish. Meh.
3.2Pours a slightly hazy dark-orange/mahogany out of the bottle; minimal off-white head. Weak aroma with maple syrup, toffee, and roast hazelnut. Thin body and the nuttiness shows up later than you’d expect. Slightly woodsy and earthy but unoffensive. Not a lot of personality is given up but in exchange it’s very drinkable.
3.35%ABV. Brown Ale.
Tapped out light brown. 18ºSRM.
Nose is beery. Some sweet aromas that are reminiscent of honeyed dates and Chinese red-date tea. Some honey sweetness and organic funk. Phenol in the nose.
Mouthfeel is watery. Palate has nutty, black bread, hazelnuts. Ton of wheaty phenolic palate flavors.
Finish is brief and beery.
3.2Good beer, slightly thin on the body for what I'd like in a brown, a bit high on the carbonation. Not much nutty flavour.
3.4Bottle into a pint. Pours a clear medium brown, with a small tan head. Nose is dark roast malt and cocoa. Taste is that of a typical brown, with a bit of nuttiness and a dry finish. Oddly sweet in the middle, but the hop finish kills the sweetness. Not bad, but nothing great.
3.5Porter aroma, cacao, bit of chocolate, nuts. Like this aroma. Normally don’t really fancy brown ale aroma but this I like. Taste is complete different. It much more like brown ale. Bit nutty, caramel, malty. Easy, drinkable, not what I would expect from brown ale. It’s ok, but nothing special having on mind it’s from California.
3.1Tap to glass @ Lost Coast tap room@ Eureka,CA

2.9355ml bottle. Brown/amber. Aroma of toffee and cocoa. Flavor is fruity and nutty mouthfeel is watery.
3.5Pour is a dark brown with a fluffy yet thin head. Very dark color in a full glass, but as you drink it, shades of tan and gold appear. Smell is hazelnuts, almonds and coffee. Taste is a tad watery, but mostly there: a solid nutty and dark ale toast
3.5355ml bottle at Beer Station, Xiamen. Pours dark brown with thin off white head. Aroma of toffee, nuts and malt. Sweet finish. Nice brown ale.
1.6Draught. Almost clear deep copper liquid with small to medium off-white head. Aroma of buttered crackers, raw sugar, toast and grain. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of diacetyl, crackers and grain. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Very buttery and sweet.
2.9On tap at Bilcos. Pours a clear copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is grain and toast. Medium mouth, rich toasted malt, wet biscuit, light, decent.
3.3Bottle at the Great Beer Bar, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a murky medium brown with a long-lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is light sweet malt, earthy, mineral. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter with a light bubbly burnt toffee malt, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.
3.4Bottle shared with Jmgreenuk at The Great Beer Bar, KL. Big "Dean Pour" (tm) cloudy brown and tan head. Aroma of malts, caramel, nutty and light grassy hop notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.
3.2355ml bottle. Clear, dark chestnut colour with ruby red glimmer and average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Nutty, caramel malty aroma, slightly earthy and grassy, hoppy overtones. Taste is slightly sweet caramel malty with a nuttily touch, slightly grassy hoppy overtones with cautious, unspecific fruity touch; super-soft and creamy palate.
