Lost Coast Great White

Lost Coast Great White

An American version of the Belgian
style. This unfiltered beer has a striking translucent, golden color with
white clouds. Seemingly a contradiction in terms, it has a full body mouth-feel but is surprisingly light to drink. Topped with a hint of citrus, provided by Coriander and a secret blend of Humbolt herbs, this beer is slightly sweet and a delight to drink in any season.

3.7 0,65l bottle from Nello's Market & Deli, Fort Bragg. Shared with wiosna @ Cottonwood Inn, Boise. Pours cloudy yellow with a high creamy head. Aroma is malts, wheat, some coriander. Flavor is sweet malts, wheat, lemon, coriander. Creamy. Quite enjoyable.
2.7 Very average beer. Tasted like a plain wheat beer over the witbier as it’s described. Slightly yeasty with grainy notes. That’s about it.
2.9 The beer is ok my wife likes it, it a little to light for me even it’s a Belgian.
3.2 golden yellow beer with a light hint of citrus
1.0 Typical wheat beer, Good cooling sensation, Salty taste
2.5 Weak aroma of citrus and sugar. Taste of sweet malt, citrus zest with hints of spices.
3.8 Pale, cloudy yellow color with a big head of soapy white foam. Easy drinking light wit that has some complexity to it. A bit doughy, peppery, herbal, and whisper of orange peel. Earns its place as an exemplary beer of summer.
3.1 12 oz single bottle from Hy Vee Wine & Spirits - Council Bluffs (Madison Ave). Hazy yellow appearance with a small white head. Aroma of citrus zest, pale malt and a hint of herbal spice. Similar flavor, adding light grainy sweetness and light bitterness. Light body with a crisp feel and a smooth finish. Somewhat refreshing and easy to drink overall.
3.4 Smooth, easily drinkable beer. Light white ale with a slight wheat back bone. A little too light on the flavor for my taste, but could easily knock back a few in the summer. Overall not a bad option, just nothing noteworthy.
3.1 Draft pint ($2) appearing straw yellow and smelling too. Taste is much the same with a hint of coriander. Feel is light. This beer in the wit vein leans more toward standard American wheat than Belgian wit. I wouldnt turn my nose up at this beer, but wouldnt want choose it at full price either.
3.0 330 ml bottle. Bought in a Jumbo Supermarket in Santiago. Ugly looking, very yelloish and full carbonated, soda looking. Strong hopy smell, citric. Very easy to drink. Where is the weat? where are the cereals? It’s not bad, but not at all what it says.
2.4 Very light...a good beer for people who don’t drink a lot of beer....not for serious beer fans
2.7 Pale yellow. Good white head. Light body and flavor is too much like a pale lager / sweet great. No Belgian with character.
2.4 12 oz bottle. Slightly hazy gold color with weak head retention. Nose is a light notes of citrus and wheat. Taste is weak. Notes of wheat, citrus and a slight spice.
3.0 On tap. Not a huge fan of the spicy Belgian yeast profile but this is quite restrained and very sessionable.
3.0 Tap at Bluestem, deep golden with a faint haze and a fluffy head, nose is noble hops, a little spice and orange, once the chill lifts a crisp and lightly spicy-dry body. A bit thin for a Wit, but OK.
2.7 Cloudy pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is faint citrus with some coriander. Short citrus notes with some mineral. Light palate. Rather bland but refrshing.
4.0 Appearance : hazy golden brown with no head Aroma : yeast spice wheat flower Taste : pale ale with sour wheat orange fruity malty Palate : medium bodied Loast cost brewery in USA
2.8 Bottle shared at Thirsty’s, Clark Quay, Singapore. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, light hops and very light malt notes. Flavour is above light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
2.7 Big brown bottle. Pours medium weizen pale with no head. Scent is light pale ale. Taste is session pale ale with a bit of sour. Mouthfeel is smooth. Little bit chemical. Good.
2.9 Non Beer Trip Beer Trip Beer #23. 12 ounce bottle, 3/8/16. One of those beers that has somehow escaped me all these years. Hazy orange with a large foamy tan head. Good retention. Aroma of yeast, spice, wheat. Mild citrus. Almost skunky. The taste is wheat, orange, yeast, lime. Medium bodied, fruity.
2.9 White Beer, Belgian Beer, US beer 1. Beerstyle: white beer 2. Alcohol Volume: unknown 3. Brewery: Lost Coast 4. Colour: yellow & Clear, a little turbid(unfiltered) 5. Fermentation: Top-fermentation, 6. Taste & flavour: Full, flower aroma. Rich and malt flavor palet.
2.8 Clear gold. American version of a belgian wit, thats not a compliment. Citrusy and malty but not that long lasting. I used to really like this one but its a pretty whack example of a wit.
3.0 Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color. Aroma and taste are some wheat and lemon.
2.9 Tap to glass @ Lost Coast tap room@ Eureka,CA Appearance : pale, hazy, cloudy, big white foam-slowly goes away Aroma: very light aroma of hops for an IPA Taste: low bitterness for an IPA Feel: fizzy Overall: fair free-ok, not to repeat Drank: April 11, 2016
3.4 4.8%ABV. Witbier. Tapped out gold. 4ºSRM. Nose has some raw wheat flour aromas and a comfortingly phenolic tang with the slightly dusty dry wood odor. Mouthfeel is watery. Palate has white bread, water biscuit, wheat malt and white steamed rice. Very good malt palate for wit. Finish is non-existent.
4.0 Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a pale murky yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is citrus with some wheat or grass tossed in. The taste is a surprisingly strong citrus rush with a nice wheat follow through. A real good witbier from Lost Coast.
3.6 I’ve been drinking this beer as a stand by for years. Its a staple in S. Oregon. It’s light and a great summer beer. It does not fill you up and you can drink a lot of em.
2.9 Bottled gift from Harald. Pours hazy golden with a small creamy white head. Aroma of belgian yeast and coriander. Taste is fresh wheat with an overload of coriander, unbalanced with a short bitter aftertaste.
3.2 650ml bottle in Las Vegas. Hazy yellow, reasonable head. Yeasty lemon aroma. Yeasty grain flavour. Quite smooth.
