3.6 Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy chocolate brown, rich head. Aroma of dates and brown sugar. Mid sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Red wine, caramel and dates. Low bitterness.

3.4 Bruin Bruin met voldoende koolzuur. Mout, karamel, hoppig. Nasmaak bitterzoet, beetje hars.

3.8 Robe ambré sombre (brune en fin de bouteille), très nombreux fins flocons de levure, mousse abondante, brun clair, tenace, forme de grosses bulles sous la surface, plus fine. Nez malté, caramélisé, pointe grillée, riche. Attaque grillée, toastée, pain grillé avec une note caramélisée, très subtile et délicate, super riche ! Des arômes fort bien menés, pour une bière facile à boire malgré le degré, parfaitement équilibrée. L'alcool se sent en longueur, l'amertume torréfiée est présente, sans excès cependant. Très bon !

3.8 Flaska från belgiuminabox som stått snart två år. Mahognyfärgad disig vätska med medelhögt beige skum som snabb lägger sig. Doft och smak av torkad frukt, fat, kryddiga träslag, sötlakrits, kryddor, gammaldags hårda karameller. Stor kropp, relativt komplex, trevlig lite annorlunda stark brune. Gott

2.9 75cl bottle at home. Dark brown, big foamy beige head. Hoppy bitter, licorice, herbal - more like a Belgian black IPA. Light body, medium carbonation

3.6 Bottle, 33 cl (SB). Pleasant "brune": sweet, malty, some burnt accents in aroma. Medium finish and carbonation.

3.3 Hazy brown with thick fluffy head. Chestnut aroma. Sweet malty taste with dried fruit.

3.4 Bottle from Systembolaget. A very easy drinking double that had enough sophistication and drink ability to be a repurchase if u had the chance.

3.8 Väldigt kraftfull och smakrik. Bär och malt. Mörkt brun.

3.6 Mörkt brun-röd, disig. Syrlig, maltig doft. Smak av björnbär, hallon blandar sig med lätt bränd malt.

3.7 Flaska från systembolaget. Bärnstensfärgad öl med litet vitt skum. Trevlig öl med en härlig maltbas som spelar fint tillsammans med tonerna av karamell och torkad frukt. Torr avslutning.

3.6 Oklar mörkbrun med mkt tjockt beige skum. Doftar maltigt, fruktigt, lite knäck och torkad frukt. Smaken lite söt och besk. Eftersmaken lång med liten beska, syrliga och kryddiga toner, torkad frukt och choklad. Torr avslutning.

3.0 Bottled 330ml (ABV 8,5%, AIH128) Brown-ruby colour, small beige head. Toffee, light spiceyness and alcohol in the nose. Medium-bodied. Toffeish, malty flavour, dry with hints of HP sauce. Strong as "brune", and simple.

3.4 Brown color, large beige head. Aromas of malt, yeast, bananas, caramel and dried fruit. Taste of malt, yeast and brown sugar.

3.2 Bottled from Systembolaget Dark, hazy amber. Large, brief head. Sweetish aroma and rather dry flavour with some brown sugar. Medium bitterness.

3.2 Flaska systembolaget. Mörkbrun och rödaktig vätska. Doft av muscovadosocker, kavring, äpple, torkad frukt och jordkällare. Väldigt maltig smak med kryddor, kavring och läder.

3.6 Fles 33cl thuis. 8,5%. IBU25. Caramel, wat chocolade, donker fruitje, bitters, zoetje, noot, wat droog, pruim. (4-12-2020).

3.3 Aroma; caramel malts, syrup, prune, chocolate toffee, flower. Look; nice beige head on mahogany grumley body. Taste; dark malts, caramel, chocolate notes, nuts, liquorice, plum, prune, yeast, and finishes quarter dry with some booze. Feel; nice body n co². 3.8 hazy brown colour, large, creamy beige head; aroma of plum jam, dried cherry, dark chocolate, slight vanilla and red wine notes; taste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with rye bready notes; not bad at all

4.0 Dubble strong ale belga. Abuntante espuma. Sabor equilibrado a malta tostada, ciruelas, caramelo. Retrogusto agradable. Buena. Mejor que la grimbergen. Earlier Rating: 9/19/2020 Total Score: 3.2 Strong ale belga. Gusto equilibrado algo lupulado. No esta mal pero no me entusiasmo.

3.8 Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a murky deep mahogany colour with a medium sized creamy beige head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, plums, caramel with hints of liquorice, brown sugar and alcohol. Taste has more dark fruits, molasses, liquorice, light chocolate, brown sugar and slight alcohol burn on the finish. Thinnish body, fair carbonation, sweet and alcoholic finish. A bit too cloying. Ok but unbalanced and a bit harsh. Re-tasting: 13/01/2023: Same aromas as before and also detecting a slight nuttyness. Taste has more nuts, dry dark fruits, chocolate, plums, a little molasses and burnt sugar. Not getting the liquorice notes i apparently detected before. Medium body with average carbonation. it is a touch sweet but certainly not as sweet as i declared on my previous rating. Actually seems quite balanced compared to my previous rating also. This is better than i can recall and will be giving this a higher rating. Glad that i gave this beer another try.

3.6 Fles geprobeerd op vakantie. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een robijnrode gloed en een medium schuimkraag. Het aroma is gebrande mout en gist. De smaak is zoet, fruitig en carmelachtig.
