3.8 Bottle 12fl.oz. (label says Steelhead Porter), poured into a teku glass. Deep dark brown, small creamy beige head, mostly diminishing, light lacing; strong aroma, roasted malts, cocoa, licorice, caramel, alcohol; medium sweet and bitter taste, roasted malts, chocolate, toffee, dark fruits, wood, light retronasal smook; malty bittersweet aftertaste, some caramel, chocolate, spicy notes; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; rich and tasty.
3.5 Butelka kupiona w połowie 2015. Ciemnobrązowe (niestety z poderwanymi z dna drobinkami), piana drobna, beżowa, trwała. Aromat czekolada deserowa, karmel, nuty kawy. W smaku ciemne słody, przede wszystkim czekolada, ale gorzka, przez co finisz idzie w stronę przyjemnie wytrawną. Niżej średniej nasycenie.

3.5 (Mad River Steelhead Scotch Porter) Bottle 355ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 6.5% I don’t see the word Scottish anywhere m Dark brown colour on the body, clear, with half a finger of thick light brown head on top, good retention. Aroma of toasted malts, chocolate, light toffee.Nice taste with plenty of chocolate, light roasted malts, no smoke whatsoever though, light caramel and toffee. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Good one.

Porter suave con toques herbaceos acaramelados y maltosos con ligeros alcohólicos secos y algunas especias ademas de ligeros cacaos. Fresca ligera y con algun que otro ahumado y quemado al calentar. No está mal. Para repetir.

Roasty, caramel, raisins, subtle peaty nose. Medium body, average carbonation, little crispy texture. Taste is roasty, sweet, caramel, smooth, no peat traces detected. Nice and enjoyable.

Taste/Palate: Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel and chocolate; ends sightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and smoke. Overall: This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. The aroma could have been way stronger. The appearance and palate are great and the flavour is good too.

Profil glownie palono wytrawny z lekka nuta orzechowa na koniec. I don’t know why this beer is Scotch Porter? The label is no Scotch.

Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good - fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, chocolate, sweet malt. 3.5 Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, roast, caramel, cocoa, powdery chocolate, some liquorice, with a slight hint of campfire. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Only very mild smoke, but a pleasing Porter regardless.

3.9 From 9th Beer Testing Evening @ Beer Market (Big Black) Porter tourbé peu amer fort aromatique-- Sa belle robe cramoisie sans col offre un nez complexe: fortes senteurs de tourbe, légèrement fumées et acidulées avec un malt biscuité et un houblon herbacé. Fort aqueuse en bouche, la gorgée bien maltée révèle de puissant arômes de café cependant assez courts qui se terminent de façon abrupt sur des saveurs rêches de fumé, légèrement acres mais bien équilibrée avec un arrière gout sec de whisky.
