Apricot flavouring A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers.
A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed.
A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it.
Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

2.4Found out of can. Orangeish pour with medium foam. I didn't get a whole lot of flavor.
3.0bottle oro carico quasi ambrata quasi limoido discreta schiuma buona nota maltata amaro medio poco fragrante probabilnente non freschissima
3.712 oz bottle. Pours a pretty orange amber with a thick thighs persistent white head. Lots of champagne bubbles and moderate lacing. Scents of apricots and malt. Taste is malty with apricots and a sour side of the tongue balanced finish. Above average carbonation with a sharp tart mouthfeel. I like it.
3.3Has a nice floral smell with a little fruit. Mid golden beer with apparent carbonation. Tastes light and floral with some fruit towards the end. Good beer.
3.5Crisp, redwheaty & mit BloodorangeBit🦐 ...AfterPHISHone-DosenStuff ;)....SF...355ml...
3.1From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Aroma of pine. Flavors are bitter and grassy.
3.7Had it in a bottle and in a pint glass from tap. Very good. Light and refreshing but would go with many different foods or on its own.
4.0Tried it at a restaurant in South Burlington VT, really good. 7/5/2018 originally tried it. Don't really remember too much about it other than it was really good.
3.0Bottle at 1048 Jazz and Blues, Montgomery. Bit sweetish with an aroma of peach, apricot, and notes of berries. Bit softly hopped, mild bitter. Body is medium. Not bad but a bit too much like a Fruit Beer, not enough Pale Ale.
3.1Lightly hopped, notes of apricot. Crisp, floral, good carbonation. Good for an autumn day, maybe around Oktoberfest. Would pair well with the right cheese, but not a cheesecake. Not an every day beer for me.
3.2This is about as good or slightly better than expected. What I like about #9 is that it has a smooth mouthfeel...good refreshing daytime/lighter beer. The flavor is nothing to write home about, but it is there with the light to medium malt a light noticable hop (decent quality hop) end. The fruit is either peach, apricot, mango, or a combination. Orange appearance...slightly above average. Going to New England (Providence and Boston) in a few days for a week, so curious to see if Magic Hat is around there to try some others. I would get this again though, since the price seems ok.
2.9The beer has got a hazy brownish colour with a low head and thin body. Aroma of flowers and fruits. taste of flowers, fruits, mild beer and spices. Fruity finish.
4.0Very good ale, crisp taste with a good aroma. Low IBU makes it a very drinkable beer compared to other ales that tend to overwhelm the palate after awhile.
2.9(12oz bottle) AROMA: floral, ok grain APPEARANCE: sightly amber goden yellw TASTE: floral, perfume, clean malt/grain, some creaminess after frontal cirpness PALATE: light, crisp, fzzy, but moderate flavor and followthru OVERALL: an ok ale, fun, unique grain/hop flavor ... Floral. A drinkable fruit ale (not sure what fruit it is supposed to be)
2.4Tap at Thirsty Moose, Portsmouth. Color is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, berries, sweetness and malts.
4.1Smooth pale ale with light carbonation. Light hop flavour with a hint of fruit flavour
5.0I’ve tried quite a few, but this is my favorite beer so far!........................................
4.1One of the most interesting flavors I’ve ever tasted in a beer. Very nice fruit flavor with just a great overall taste.
0.7The worst beer I have ever tasted or smelled. It literally made me sick and I barely finished one bottle.
2.812oz bottle at home. Clear golden pour with a fizzy, fading white head. Sweet fruit, mild maltiness, some yeast notes. Light body, smooth finish. OK.
4.4A party in a pint
3.2Bottle from New Beer Distributors, New York. Pours amber with a short lasting off-white head. Aroma of apricot, grain, yeast, light caramel, fruit and veg. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Light to medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Finish is slightly dry.
5.0My favorite
3.5Pours a pretty average amount of foamy head and has a golden amber appearance. Nice soapy lace. Has tropical like fruity aromas, mangos and apricots. Flavours are very fruity, some floral hops and grainy malts. The apricot comes through almost straight away. A little bit of tartiness and hints of bready malts as well. Fairly excessive carbonation. Mouthcoating sensation. Full bodied mouthfeel. Pretty good.
2.6Many bottles and drafts over the years unfortunately. Pours a hazy golden with one finger white head. Notes of caramel malt, sweet candy orange, artificial apricot, and pears. Pretty sweet and gross.
3.5Solid beer - fruity easy to drink
3.7A bold introduction followed by a surprisingly soft hearty wheaty aftertaste, despite a hint of delicate hops
3.7Palate might be skewed cause of the head and humidity, but this is a tasty beer at Hollywood studios at Disney
3.2Gold, gefiltert, schöne Perligkeit, ordentlicher Schaum. In der Nase ungewöhnlich würzig, keine Ahnung was genau ich da rieche. Im Trunk limonadig, Erdbeeren, mittig Malz, fruchtig, hinten bitter. Nicht schlecht - sehr unkonventionell.
2.0pours clear light golden amber. the flavor is light and earthy. Its really hard to place any one flavor here. There is lingering wheat aftertaste, almost grainy. Its pretty well balanced without being malty at all. The sweetness comes from something else. since its such a big secret and I don’t believe in secret recipes- I’m going to call it flavorful piss water
