Wilhelm Scream is ripe with fall flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel malts. Medium-bodied and the color of orange setting suns, it finishes similar to the way we finish summer: with just a hint of bitterness.

2.512oz can poured into a Shaker at 41°. Color is a brownish orange with good carbonation that gives it a small fizzy head. Aroma is faint malt and pumpkin spice. It has a lighter medium body with a crisp fizzy mouth feel. Flavor is a little fruit with basic pumpkin spices (cinnamon, nutmeg). After taste is the spices with a little sweetness. Overall its ok, same old pumpkin that everyone seems to make but this one doesn’t over do it with the spices.
2.8Bottle @ Chief Market / Lima OH --- Hazy dark amber color, beige rim Head, no lace. Taste is malt that adds mild carbonation on the swallow, then pumpkin replacing hops in a short finish. Not a good entry.
2.8Mild Aroma, beautiful amber glow small head doesn’t last. No complexity, not bitter, good taste at first but no after notes to speak of. Not bad but not bold enough to be remembered. Would drink it again but wouldnt buy it.
2.9Not very good. Dark copper color. Cinnamon and nutmeg nose, a hint of pumpkin. Flavor less spicy, vaguely tinged with graham cracker, dry. Its alright.
2.4Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts with not much else. Not much pumpkin on the aroma. A little bit of pumpkin on the flavor with caramel malts. I was hoping for at least a hint of spice but it’s not present.
3.0(Bottle). Complements of Mark for Giants game. Not unique for the style with predictable unauthentic pumpkin flavor and spice.
1.9Bottle. Nose spice soup, heaviest nutmeg with cinnamon and earth. Pour is actually quite pretty, deep ruby red with a short tan head. Taste a little bland, mild malt with light rubber bitterness and earth, relatively dry with a little dash of crystal here and there, crisp and lightly toasted, nutmeg still too strong, but not all that much else there, spice-wise. Cloy hinted at around the edges but never arriv3s, still a bit yucky. Medium body, there is a bit of gourd, but otherwise, a clear pass. [2015.11.16: 1.9]
3.012 oz. bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a small off-white head. Toasty malts lead the way, with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, leaves, metallic notes (particularly on the aroma), and some earthy bitterness. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a metallic, toasty, spicy, uneven mouthfeel. Forgettable, inoffensive pumpkin ale.
3.4Taste: malty, semi sweet, cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin spice.
Copper and mostly clear.
spicy nose medium body.
3.2Fresh off the pumpkin beer tasting. This would have been middling. We’ll try to include it next year. Good pumpkin flavor and aroma, baking soda aftertaste.
3.9Very satisfying beer. Smells a bit like nutmeg. Pouring this beer is like pouring a sunset into a glass. Notes of nutmeg and cinnamon with a lightly bitter finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, and the texture is neither thin nor thick.
(Rating #6508)
3.1Sweet malty bready caramel aroma with typical pumpkin pie spicing
Pours an amber color with small off white head that disappears
Bready maltiness with a touch of sweetness and some earthy hops. Spicing present but subdued.
Light bodied, medium high CO2, mellow spice finish.
I'm not a pumpkin beer fan. They seem to be either too sweet or too spicy. This one is well balanced. One of the better pumpkin beers I've had
2.8Draft @ DAS BEST Oktoberfest, Baltimore. Pours a slightly hazy golden pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy pumpkin aroma. fruity malty spicy pumpkin and caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy pumpkin finish.
2.85.4%ABV. Vegetable Ale.
Poured out of the bottle a brown amber color. 18ºSRM.
Nose is sweet, there is a nice roasted malt nose. There is some sweet spiciness like a pumpkin pie. Cinnamon, nutmeg?
Mouthfeel is light, carbonated. There are some brief roasty malty flavors riding a very very watery palate to some toasted pumpkin seed like nutty, vegetal and for the want of a better deScription, pumpkin-like flavors.
No finish.
3.0Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet, tangy and bready with cinnamon, nutmeg and clove notes. The flavor was bready and malty with fairly strong nutmeg followed by clove and a touch of cinnamon. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.
3.0Decent pumpkin. Basic flavors with some vanilla flair. Light nutmeg. Very light palate and deep orange color. Tap
3.1Slightly hazy amber/orange with a thin off-white head.
Aroma is spicy, pumpkin pie spice.
The flavor is lightly sweet following the aroma. Spicy finish.
3.312 ounce bottle from sampler pack, lots of clean pumpkin taste, not overly spiced.
2.4Orange amber color with quickly disapating head. Strong nutmeg smell. Taste is also heavily nutmeg spiced. Light carbonation and light body. Clean and tasty beer, just nothing different
2.9Bottle. It poured an amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of pumpkin, malts, nutmeg and some cinnamon. The taste was similar to the aroma with more malts, nutmeg and cinnamon. Not bad.
3.0Sampled from the bottle. Pours a clear copper amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is mainly pumpkin spice with grain and sweet bread supporting. Flavor has more bread and grain with a pumpkin spice finish.
3.0Bottle. Orange with a small head. Smells of pumpkin and light spice. Taste is exactly the same. Not very spicy.
3.2Superb copper/amber appearance. Smells outstanding - pumpkin, cinnamon. Taste is pumpkin and not much else. Palate is thin and a bit dry.
2.5Nice copper color with an off white head. Cinnamon and pumpkin spice aroma, beer is a bit sweet. Texture is this and watery. Nothing to write home about, but I can handle a couple of these every year.
3.0Bottle:   Coppery amber, a bit dark, moderate foamy sandy head, little lacing.   Muted spices on the nose, seems like a little bit of nutmeg and some allspice.   Similar on teh tongue, spicy but not too bright.   Has a slight honeycomb cereal like sweetness.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Has a bit of a stale spicy background, muted nutmeg and cinnamon.   I will say its flavorful, even if a little dull, from start to finish.   Decent, but wished the spices were a bit brighter.   Thanks Kevin!
3.4Tastes of nutmeg and a little pumpkin. A little sweet. Not bad but not sure that I'd get it again.
3.1Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass at Gettysburg Eddie’s in Gettysburg, PA. This is not a very good pumpkin ale. The color is orange with a small white head. The aroma is malt and pumpkin spice but not very strong. The taste is off for me, it is not very good but has a very slight pumpkin flavor. This is one of the weakest pumpkin beers I have had.
3.0Pretty standard pumpkin beer. Spices, sweetness, Bready, slightly watery feel.
