3.9 From tap at CBC 2016. Black with a beige head. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, caramel, nuts, coffee, dried fruit, licorice and bitterness.
4.3 Tapped in London. Very round and smooth. Extremely thick, velvet-like. Not much bitterness, easy to drink. Vanilla, smooth milk chocolate, spices. Soft roasted, very round, intense smooth sweetish great aftertaste. Fantastic!!
3.0 Cask at CBC 2016, yellow session. Pours black, tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, wood, peat. However I believe this one was off because it had certain, very unpleasant plastic aroma/flavor probably from the plastic cask it was served in. When I asked the guys tried to assure me it was just peat, but since I’ve tried handfull of peated BA beers and whiskys I wouldn’t agree on that. Anyway looking at other rates especially at untappd seems something went wrong. It’s a shame cause it seems like a very good brew. Another candidate for re-rate.
2.4 Cask? @CBC 2016. Poured near black with a brown looking head. Wood diminates totally in the aroma, some roasted elements and bitter chocolate. Flavor has mostly wood as well, some roastedness. Didn´t like it at all.
3.7 Tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2016. Pours black with a creamy head. Nutella, roast, hazel, candy and coffee. Smooth and soft. That artificial feel.

4.1 London Craft Beer Festival 2015at Oval Space, London.Black beer with an brownish head. Chocolate, vanilla, malty, caramell and coffee aroma. Simlar flavour with some nice orange hints. Lovely beer :-)
3.3 Grand Marnier nose, pours black with a firm beige head, taste of chocolate and orange peel. Too heavy liquor taste, more of a praline filling than a beer...
3.8 Complex nose of roast, meal damp stone and sweetness. Thick body, molasses, deep and instense and good but lacks that complexity you might expect from a great beer. Silky in the body but head is not sustained.Pleasing mouthful but in the end there is just too much liquorice in there for me.

Quite intense.
3.8 Bottle from Kris Wines. Have kept this for about 5 months. Pours a lovely very dark brown, with a medium to thin foam tan brown head. Nose is quite musty, grain musty, roasted malt, dark fruit, slight fortified wine vinous, slight cheesy, fresh milk, dark chocolate. Taste is strong rich roasted malt, tangy burnt flavours, lots of dark fruit, prune and raisin, alcohol, slight vinous, and then some yeasty, savoury character, soy sauce, salty, and dark chocolate. the finish is roasted malt and soy sauce, with the savoury winning over the sweet. Not getting a huge amount of coffee. More a burnt roasted character.
