4.5Appearance is black, with a 2-finger mocha brown head. Aroma- whisky, vanilla, cinnamon, hint of nutmeg, dark chocolate, leathery malt, coffee, more vanilla, tannins, stewed dark fruit undertones. Taste is chocolate milk, vanilla, coffee bitterness, whisky fudge, cinnamon, raisin hints, ashy roast malt, treacle, more chocolate and more vanilla. Very smooth and silky mouthfeel, lingering chocolatey aftertaste. Excellent.

Small brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet spiced, dark malts, dark sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, mild bourbon, raisins, toffee, ginger, coffee, licorice. Taste is slightly dry and spiced, dark malts, oak, mild bourbon, cinnamon, dark sugar, caramel, grass, licorice, coffee, vanilla, ginger, toffee. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Very nice.
4.3Can. Opaque black with a big beige head. Smell of bourbon, oak, vanilla, cocoa, chocolate, smoke, chocolate, umami, spices. Sweet, dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, toasted coconut, cinnamon, molasses, rich and tasty. Full bodied, oily, viscous. Great stuff.
4.4Can. Opaque black with creamy mocha head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, vanilla, spices, espresso, bourbon, mocha, some cinnamon, chocolate cake, some umami. The flavor is sweet and mild bitter with notes of chocolate cake, bourbon, vanilla, cinnamon, mocha, alcohol, a bit umami. Silky, full-bodied.
4.0Can, thanks M+G! Black body with a low brownish head. Chocolate meringue pie, mokka, cinnamon. Moderate medium sweetness, a hint of sourness, bitterness of strong dark chocolate. Slick, soft carbonation. Super intense but well balanced, couldn't drink a can alone though.
4.1Can from Brewcraft at home. Thick black pour with thin tan head. Aroma is huge rich chocolate and hazelnut with some alcohol. Nailed the dessert smell. Nuttiness is powerful - like the old rogue hazelnut brown nectar. Taste follows but more cinnamon and chocolate and less hazelnut - rich and nutty still though. Bitter too. All flavors come together really nicely without being treacly or over the top. Palate is soft and smooth. Very nice. Huge without being too much.
4.0Drank at home after Shi Fu Miz 2018 in Cheung Chau. Pours a thick opaque brown-black with a dense foam tan-brown head. Smells of heavy chocolate, dark and sweet and dense, light caramel/toffee, lots of vanilla, lightly toasted marshmallow, sea salt. Taste is lightly spiced, biscuity, dark chocolate, booze, nutmeg/cinnamon. Body is sweet, slick, lightly spiced, creamy slightly toasty finish. Nice, flavourful, warming.
3.8Very strong and tasty. Not much cinnamon coming through that I can tell though. Mostly vanilla dominates.
4.6Bardzo dobre piwo. Beczka po Bourbonie odkryła to co mogła. Belgijskie pralinki, płynna czekolada. Naprawdę co tutaj się dzieje . Troszkę oleiste , wylepia podniebienie . Bardzo dobry Imperial Stout Polecam gorąco hmmm palce lizać.

Bardzo zgrabnie poskladane orzechowo-waniliowo-chnamonowo-czekoladowo. Takie ciacho. Troche alko, ale nie wadzi. Hladkie. Pycha
3.9@Biercafé Au Trappiste - black beer with a modest head retention; aroma of wood, nuts and mocha, caramel; creamy palate, full-bodied, fairly sweet, subtle carbonation, light grainy; long aftertaste of mocha, wood and caramel, light residual sweetness
3.9Very dark, with no lasting head. Very nutty nose, with praline, hazelnut and maple syrup. Medium, sticky body. Vanilla comes through in the taste, bit of chocolate, lots of nuts - not that much cinnamon for me.
4.1Can from somewhere. Pours a stunning oily black but the creamy tan head fizzles away too quickly. Thick full body with a gentle but prickly carbonation. Definitely getting the cask, charred quality coming through on the end of this. Black treacle and custard. Nice Christmas pudding feel with a touch of chocolate. Strong and smooth dessert impy stout.
4.2Can. Nose is vanilla, chocolate ice cream, cloves, chocolate, bourbon, praline. hint of salt, hint of coffee. Taste is rich chocolate, lots of vanilla, nuts, brown sugar, chocolate ice cream, gentle cinnamon, plums, chocolate sponge, big bourbon, cherry, hint of cola, hazelnut, praline, hint of chili in a spice and dark chocolate finish.
Very smooth, rich body. Complex and the flavours are very well balanced. It doesn't feel like a gimmick.
3.6Can. Pours near black with a lasting brown head. Aroma is cinnamon, bourbon/vanilla, oak, cocoa, even more cinnamon and hard toasted malt. Taste is medium sweet and heavy bitter. Body is medium, texture is really nice creamy, carbonation is soft+. Finishes somewhat dry, boozy with cocoa and lingering cinnamon. Too much cinnamon for my personal preference.
4.3330ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Chocolate, dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, big cinnamon taste, bit of apple brandy, cinnamon schnapps, coconut sugar. Quite sweet but with some bitter dark chocolate and enough booze heat to balance it. Good body. Very tasty.
4.033cl can. Dark color. Thin brown head. Taste is medium bitter, light sweet. Medium body. Aroma and flavour is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, liquorice, fruity, chesnuts, chili.
4.2Well balanced and very complex. Vanilla, chocolate and cinnamon. Subtle roast. Very good indeed.
3.9Tap at MBCC 2018. Pours black. Chocolate, coconut, coffee. Full bodied. Balanced.

4.00.33 l can from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before December 2027. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty and a bit spicy aroma of nougat, mocca, hazelnut, cinnamon and a touch of licorice. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately roasty and slightly spicy taste of nougat, mocca, cinnamon, coffee, some vanilla and hints of bourbon, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy and quite spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very pleasant, really well-balanced, not too sweet or boozy or anything, overall pretty good!
3.5Can 33cl. Black with a brown foamy head. Aroma of coffee, vanille and some spices. Interesting taste of gingerbread, Christmas spices, coffee and vanilla. Long chocolate finish.
4.0Can from The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. Pours a deep brown to black colour with a medium mocha head. Aroma of cinnamon, chocolate, liquorice, some orange peel, slight bourbon, vanilla, gingerbread, a little roasted malts and subtle nuts. Taste of chocolate, cinnamon, gingerbread, nuts, some liquorice, roasted malts, slight bourbon, vanilla. a hint of alcohol and subtle molasses. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, roasty and spicy bitterness in the finish. Smells really boozy but the flavour is a lot more robust. Very spicy, cinnamon is dominant but the sweetness of the bourbon, vanilla then the roasty nuttiness makes it surprisingly drinkable.
4.2Can from Beerdome @ home. Black colour with a small light brown head. Smells roasty, vanilla, sweet, loads of dark chocolate. Tastes roasty, sweet, vanilla, cinnamon, marshmallow, chocolate, kaneelstok, whipped cream. It would be even better without the cinnamon taste, but that fades quickly and what lasts is a lovely vanilla and chocolate taste. Full body, soft carbo.
4.1Can. Black body with brown fast disappearing head. Aroma is floral fruity candy some roasted malts bourbon wood barrel coffee. Taste is malts chocolate sweet dried fruits ash dark roasted malts molasses herbs spices cinnamon. Aftertaste is nice balanced. Very nice one.
4.0330 ml can at home, bb. 5.12.2027, courtesy of Sander, many thanks! Pours a deep, nearly dark red-brown with a tan colored head. Aroma of bourbon, lots of vanilla, nuts, spices, gingerbread, cinnamon, toffee, chocolate and some light burnt notes - nice smell. Full body with a soft carbonation, a light to medium sweetness and a medium bitterness. The flavor starts with bourbon, wood, lots of vanilla, molasses, raisins, dates, chocolate followed by more roasted notes of coffee and hints of burnt wood. Finishes lightly bitter and roasted with mild bourbon and a very good balance. Overall the bourbon aromas are not too intense while there is quiet a lot of vanilla noticeable throughout. I particularly enjoyed the aroma and the finish. Very good brew!

4.0(330ml can from boxbeers.dk) Pours pitch black with a big frothy head of latte coloured foam. Notes of mid-sweet dark malt, ashy roast, chocolate, wood, lightly charred, touch of cinnamon, soft bourbon/vanilla hints, light liquorice too, a little bit of spirit heat, fairly dry from mid-sip on, dusty, cinnamon helping the drydown, cacao and spice plus wood aftertaste. A bit thin for style, edging to medium body, soft carbonation, a little booze. Quite nice, well-spiced, appreciate the overall dryness from a "dessert edition". Feels a bit too light in the moth though.
4.4Can from Hops and Crafts Exeter. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla single malt whiskey, vanilla, chocolate, polished leather & cinnamon. Taste of chocolate, coconut, bourbon, vanilla, polished leather, raisins & cinnamon. Medium bodied, silky smooth almost sticky mouthfeel with good carbonation. The finish is nicely dry with some balancing bitterness & bourbon, chocolate, vanilla raisins, polished leather & light cinnamon. Classy brew!!!
3.818/20 luxurious imp stout - big chocolate and vanilla taste with hint of cinnamon. It is a dessert and far too easy to drink quickly. Lovely
4.5Jest beczka jest wanilia jest czekolada, na szczescie tylko szczypta cynamomu. Przecudne
