3.7 33 cl. can @ home, served in a teku glass, best before: 2022/08/30. Aroma: medium intensity aromas of roasted malts, roasted coffee, black coffee, black chocolate, cocoa. Appearance: medium dark brown to black color with dark beige foam made of small bubbles which grow over time to become medium sized ones, medium to high head thickness, very high retention, high Brussels' lacing, too dark to talk about haziness. Taste: low to medium sweetness, medium bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of roasted malts, roasted coffee, black coffee, black chocolate, cocoa, hints of citrus, licorice. Balance is slightly toward the bitterness, but it is well balanced overall. Mouthfeel: medium body, watery to slightly oily texture, low to medium carbonation, long dry finish with low to medium bitterness and the aforementioned flavors. Alcohol is very well hidden and only noticeable because of its mouth and throat warming but not noticeble in the aroma or flavor. Astringency is not noticeable. Acidity from the black malts is low to medium. Overall: good appearance, strong aromas and flavors of roasted coffee, roasted malts, black coffee, hints of licorice. Quite tasty and good. It would be better with less acidity from the black malts and more layers of flavors.
1.4 Yuk!! Not really my taste. If a heavy stout that leaves toffee after taste then get stuck in!! If not avoid it.
3.5 On tap at RØØR. Pours almost black with a beige head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, bit of ash. Finish is a bit thin.
2.1 Aroma of a little dark malt. Taste of dark malt and florality. Good bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth for a long time. Okay beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
3.6 Dark stout beer, very easy drinking, nice balance and clean on the aftertaste.
3.9 What this beer packages into 6% is it’s strength. World-class for the style. Clean lots of flavour, perfect roast-bitterness-sweetness balances. Beer tasting room i the wildeman Amsterdam 3.8 july 2021 Again at Billies Bf antwerp... even better, so creamy it feels like nitro
3.0 Bière épaisse aux notes de café et de réglisse.
4.0 Pas mauvais noir avec touche réglisse café . Agréable dans certaines circonstances
3.8 Keg (u Viléma). Dark brown creamy tan head. Coffee, nutmeg, dark chocolate. Quite dense, smooth, full bodied (more than the ABV would suggest). Taste develops on the initial aromas, longish subtly bitter finish.
3.5 Can from Tesco. Jet black pour with an off white head. Aroma is subdued roasted malts, dark chocolate and fruity coffee. Taste is medium to dark roasted malts, caramel with dried fruit. Plus some milk chocolate sweetness and earthy hop to round off the dry finish. Mouthfeel is smooth with perfect carbonation that helps to accentuate the bitter and caramel notes in the finish. I think it's the best dark beer you can buy in a supermarket.
3.7 Pours pitch black with a beige disappearing head. Nose and palate on black coffee, black chocolate, bitter hops and toasted malts. Medium to little carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. ‘classic’ stout style, very well made. The ‘only’ 6% ABV is not a negative at all, on the contrary.
3.0 Decent can of stout from a selection ordered from Alestones, Tardebigge, Worcs. Pours black with a thin brown head. Well balanced chocolate and coffee.
3.8 330ml can from Love Wine in Jersey. Pours black with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of coffee, chocolate, hints of vanilla & roasted malt. Medium body. Dry roasted finish. Highly enjoyable
3.5 01-01-21 // 330ml can. Dark brown. Beige head. Nose roasted malts and coffee. Very dark malts, dark roasted and roast bitterness a. It got coffee notes. Dry roast finish. Okay.

3.8 Pours black coffee colour with decent beige head. Malty, nutty aroma. Full, creamy mouthfeel with gentle carbonation. Flavors of roasty coffee, dark chocolate and some liquorice notes. The flavors, with a gentle hoppy zing linger on pleasantly. A rich and balanced stout I’d definitely have again.
3.0 Pours a beautiful pitch black with a plentiful fine bubbled off-cream head. Chocolate and figgy berries on the nose which translates onto the palate. A little sweet for my liking but overall enjoyable if not unremarkable.
4.0 So this is a superb stout, pours a thick-looking near black with a frothy beige head. Has a subdued aroma of roasted malt with hints of coffee and liquorice, and a deep, rich roasted malt flavour, some milk sweetness to begin with and a dry hop bitterness into the the finish
4.2 Black and opaque color with a nice tan head. Dry, very present, dark chocolate and coffe. Earthy hops, roasted malts. Nice.
3.9 Beau noir, belle mousse à quelques mm.
3.5 330ml Dose. Klsr und schwarz mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Ordentlicher Körper. Malzig. Herber Abgang. Gut.
3.7 Sept 2020. Can (one of the problems with cans is that you can't see if there's any residue) from Tesco. I like this. Soft roasty beer. Good body. Easy drinkable. The strength is hidden, so this could be a dangerous brew. The strength appears to be used for flavour and body. It works. The more I drink this the more I like it. Nice one. [3.7]
3.6 Aroma : Deeply roasted chocolate maltiness, with espresso coffee and hints of liquorice, dark red fruits and a little spicy smoke and some earth. Taste : As aroma. Bitter roasty and malty. Rich smooth chocolate and coffee, with subtle red fruit and smoke. Very good
