Magic Rock High Wire

Magic Rock High Wire

High Wire is our tribute to the Pale Ales of the West Coast of America, beers unapologetically hop forward in character. Let your taste buds walk this test of balance. Mango, lychee and lip-smacking grapefruit flavours harmonise against a smoothly composed malt base, which develops into a crisply bitter finish. Are you ready for our tightrope of taste. .?

Anonima c. Cantina della birra 23.04.21
3.8 W aromacie dużo żywicy, sporo grejpfruta, leciutko cebulka, solidnie. Wygląd to wzorcowe west coast IPA. W smaku sporo owoców, grejpfrut, trochę słodu i trawiastych nut. Owoce nieco za mało intensywne, ale i tak dobre. Na finiszu bardzo przyjemnie wytrawne, dużo grejpfruta ale też dużo nut ziemistych. Dobre.
3.5 Old rating from Dec 2014 - From the cask, pours amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of tropical fruits, grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, citrus, pine & hops. Moderate to medium body. Medium bitter finish
3.5 Nothing to separate this Pale Ale from all the others. Ripe citrus, hints of herbs and grass, a bit of dryness, mid bitterness. Totally OK but nothing special.
3.5 Gold to light amber with a frothy white head that lingers. Aroma of lychee with mild bubblegum undertones. Taste is grapefruit bitter and a touch citric. Sweeter at the finish with a hint of candy. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Body is decently chewy. Interesting and good.
3.7 Clear golden color with lacing off-white head. Aroma has tropical fruits like mango and pineapple, pine and citrus. Taste is malty sweet with long bitter and quite dry aftertaste. Flavors of mango, pine, needles, grapefruit.
3.1 Pretty decent west coast ale, lots of citrus and bitter refreshing tastes
2.4 Not much on the aroma. Malt and hops on the palate. Not really what I'm after in a pale ale. I think the High Wire Grapefruit is better.
3.8 330 ml can. Hazy light orange, big stable creamy head. Pine, herbal hops, grapefruit zest, tangerine, grass. Hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry hoppy bitter finish. A quite hoppy and crisp Pale Ale. Very good!
3.7 330ml can. Cloudy gold, small white head with good level of retention and lacing. Not a huge aroma but malt and grapefruit come through. Taste is a good balance between the biscuit like malt and the fruity hops. Grapefruit and mango is most noticeable. Finish is bitter which combines with a zesty orange peel note. A lovely soft carbonation and moderate body. Very nice.

3.4 330ml can from M&S, Epsom. Pours hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma of pine, malt and citrus. Piney sponge taste. Bittersweet finish.

3.3 Cloudy yellow colour, lovely head and floral aroma. Smells like a sweet lady. Taste is bitter and hoppy and the 5.5% is noticeable in the taste. Good drink in the sun.
4.0 Great taste for a West Pale Ale
3.8 Hmm hazy
4.0 Great, cloudy pale
3.7 Golden hazy in colour. Tropical fruit smell. Similar in taste with a hint of zest. Bit of hops with a dry and slight bitter aftertaste
3.5 Tap @ Oliver twist, Stockholm. Pours a golden colour beer with a medium head. Fruity and malty with notes of tropical fruits and hops. Dry finish.
3.3 Pours clear yellow, off-white lacing foam. Aroma is strong hoppy, taste modest bitter some fruity notes (Amersfoort 202002)
4.0 On tap at Oliver Twist in Stockholm. Solid west coast pale ale. Not super bitter, but still more bitter than fruity.
3.7 Rocky white head left a froth on a hazy light copper coloured still body. Zest, pith & hop aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the tongue with a sharp back & clean aft. Hoppy, stewed fruit, dank, pith, grapefruit & pith tastes.
3.8 Can from M&S Cardiff. Bright golden pour with a foamy head. Aroma is fruity and dank. Taste starts with the hops, juicy, fruity, earthy dank, yet still has a nice detectable caramel malt body. The hops linger for a while on the palate.
2.9 Can. Hazy gold, thin short lived white head and low condition. Sweet pear drops, chalky yeast and hop resin in the nose, hop bitter and chalky in the mouth with a hint of lemon and a slightly estery note, finish is dry and hop bitter with a touch of candy sugar and a hint of clove spiciness.
3.7 Tap at 100 piv. Easy drinking, hops centered, malt in the background. Moderate body, med-high carbonation. Not overly intense in terms of hoppiness though, rather moderately so. Generic exotic citrusy fruitiness. Quite good.
3.3 Rami Rami is drinking a High Wire by Magic Rock Brewing at Drugie Dno - Multitap Bar Gorzkie, polwytrawne, nieco zbozowe, dosc mocno cyteusowe. Taki troche pelniejszy west coast. Spoko. 3.3?
3.2 Vycap 100 pív. Vôňa citrusova. Farba zlatista. Chuť citrusová prevažne trpka.
