Magic Rock Ringmaster

Magic Rock Ringmaster

Original Pale Ale 3.9%. RingMaster our flag ship pale ale, is the beer you’ll want to drink every day. Pale in colour but unlike other pale ales lacking nothing in the flavour stakes. We use plenty of US hops to give the beer a floral/grassy aroma and lip smacking citrus flavours which combine with a defined malty character to make a magically moreish and quenching beer. Its session beer the same but different, conjured for flavour…

3.8 Cask at the Marine Hotel, Stonehaven. Pours yellow golden with small white head. Hoppy and fruity, bit of toffee, medium bitterness. as expected very drinkable.
3.3 Könnyed golden ale, friss, gyümölcsös aromákkal, üde és száraz, ropogós ízekkel. Simulékony, lágy jegyek jellemzik, alma és barack halovány képével, fanyar, élesztővel betakart, selymesen malátás alapokkal, valamint egy karakteres, hosszú életű komlós zárással. Semmi extra, de lényegében minden rendben van a sörrel, a kategóriabeli követelményeknek maradéktalanul megfelel.
2.2 Rather pale in both aroma and flavour. This is a session beer , but has little character.

3.8 Tap @ Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy golden. compact white head. Hoppy and fruity aroma, tropical fruits, grapefruit, orange and mango. Medium carbonated and a sweet, smooth mouthfeel. The taste is dry with tropical fruits, mango, orange, lime zest. Nice grapefruit bitter finish.
2.4 Tap. Aroma is described as grassy/floral. With my nose it might be straw. Golden colour and clear. I get the’defined malty quality’ which may equate to a dunked biscuit. Similarly citrus flavor seems to mean grapefruit. But this is being less than generous. I have known barbecues that cried out for a session pale of precisely this description. So light a fire.
3.0 Tap. Hazy pale yellow beer, medium white head. Nose is hops, toasty malt and caramel sweetness. Tastes pretty hoppy and citrussy, some malty sweetness. Bitter grapefruity finish. Watery palate, but very nicely quaffable. A hot weather beer.
2.6 White head. Pale yellow colour. Taste is sweet, hop and malt. Watery palate.
3.2 Cask at Draft House. Pale yellow, clear, still, small scummy white head, full lacing. Aroma is caramel, dried mud, background sulphur. Body is medium, smooth, touch of carbonation. Taste is watery, soft pithy citrus, drying straw, touch of gluey resin, soft bitterness. Easy going but quite plain.

3.7 Magic Rock Ringmaster 3.9%On tap at CBB Bud. A bright light gold low-ABV hoppy golden ale. The nose is lightly fruity with a touch of mint. Medium bodied with a scratchy mouthfeel which is kind of nuts for such a low ABV. The taste is bitter woodsy pine, a bit floral & has a touch of fruits. A solid very low ABV beer.
3.3 28.2.2015. Mild grassy aroma. Taste is grassy bitter, floral notes, rather bitter finish.
3.4 Aroma: grain and cereal malts, floral and grassy hops. Appearance: clear gold, small, creamy, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: grain malts, some bread, grassy hops coming up, bitters intensifying, light dry in the finish. Overall: nice Golden Ale, well-balanced. Pint at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico.
1.6 At the tap in York, I love magic rock but this is the biscuity, caramel ipa and not the fruity citrusy one, so a fail for me. Sorry.
3.8 Schooner on draught from The Hanging Bat, Edinburgh (£3.00): This one was quite an enjoyable session offering from Magic Rock, whilst it wasn’t one that hit the heights of their Highwire pale ale it was still a very nice beer and one whose main strength lay in how easy it was to drink. The beer packed quite a lot of flavour into its 3.9% abv. and although the nose could have been a little stronger it certainly couldn’t be considered weak or watered down.
3.8 On Tap. @Cimmeria, Oviedo 28/02/2015. Color pajizo, espuma blanca. Sabores cítricos. Gran cerveza de sesion.
3.8 Keg @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 01-03-2015. In short: crispy citrusy ale. Pours some hazy very pale golden with nice white head. Moderate head retention, good lacing. Grassy, citrusy, flowers aromas. Light body, high carbonation, cripsy texture. Quite tasty for the low abv, herbal, citrusy, moderate bitterness. Quite enjoyable.

3.9 Tap @ The White Horse. So I have been waiting a lot to try Magic Rock, it was worth it! Clear pale golden color with a nice white head. Aroma is tropical fruits with strong passionfruit presence and some mango. Flavor is all the way hops with same tropicla fruits assortment, genlte bitter aftertaste that leaves you asking for more. Light to medium palate, high hops flavor but the beer still manages to remain whole.
3.7 Cask. Clear yellow with a small white head. Lemony and floral, light grain, straw and white bread. Feels crisp with some light acidity, good light dry and bitter finish. Soft and filling mouthfeel. Drinks well.
