LCI. Uit blik geschonken. Heerlijke TIPA: flink bitter, wat zoetig, fruitig, boozy. Flinke stevige TIPA qua alcohol: 11% abv.
Dziś do snu ukołysze mnie nieludzka kula armatnia. Jedna z wariacji kul armatnich browaru Magic Rock z Huddersfield. Spoglądając na mapę, do browaru można udać się w drodze z Claudwater ( Manchester) do Norhern Monk ( Leeds) :) Piwo chmielem stoi. Konkretnie jego Amerykańskimi odmianami. W składzie na puszcze wyczytuję też dekstrozę i zastanawiam się czy mogę to piwo pić przed treningiem siłowym :P Z kolei w jedynej recenzji po Polsku na RB wyczytuję, że w piwie jest zbyt dużo "skarpety". Ciekawy jestem co poeta miał na myśli. Być może sam to wyczuję i będę wiedział za chwilę. Piwo ma dość wysokie notowania: 4,17 UNT, 3,92 RB oraz 4,19 na BA, gdzie wystawiło mu noty 31 osób. Piwo nie zalicza się do tanich. Za swoją półlitrową puszkę przyszło mi zapłacić przeszło 8 funtów. Jest natomiast łatwo dostępne przynajmniej w północnej Anglii.
Zapach: Tropiki, cytrusy, amerykańskie chmiele.... przyjemnie - klasycznie - ipowo. Brzoskwinia. Ananas. Mandarynka. Nie umiem jeszcze za Chiny rozróżnić na nos citry, simcoe czy amarillo ale jest tu tego sporo. Każdy niuch przynosi troszkę inne doznania. Po przelaniu do szkła zaznacza się grejfrut. Więcej tu goryczki niż słodkości. Żywica
Wygląd: Ciemny bursztyn, mocne wysycenie. Gruboziarnista piana. Wznosi się wysoko, nie ma jednak ochoty na dłuższe obcowanie z piwoszem. Pozostawia po sobie małą mgiełkę otulającą napój
Smak: Pierwsza idzie zdecydowanie goryczka. Ona napoczyna i ona w zasadzie kończy zabawę posmakiem jaki pozostawia w ustach piwo. Jest tu jednak troszkę brzoskwiniowej - słodkiej kontry po środku. Owoce i chmiel rządzą tym trunkiem. Napój fajnie grzeje w przełyk. Alkohol perfekcyjnie ukryty to tu nie jest i nikogo raczej w pole nie wyprowadzi. Ananas, tropiki, grejfrut. Słody. Tak jakby paloność/ palony karmel? Jest tu też coś jeszcze. Nie wiem czy to ta skarpeta, ale chyba rozumiem o co chodziło autorowi :)
Podniebienie: Sporo ciałka, wysycenie raczej wysokie. Gęste, treściwe. Po kilku łykach dochodzę do wniosku, że balans nie zawodzi.
Podsumowanie: Kurcze. IPA ma być ( dla mnie) gęsta, niepozornie - alkoholowa i słodka. Ta gęsta jest dość mocno, ale pijałem jednak sporo gęściejsze. Słodycz się tu zaznacza, ale zdecydowanie więcej jest tu goryczki. Kompleksowa jest - to jej trzeba oddać, ale na nisko - procentowość nikogo chyba nie nabierze. A mimo to bardzo mi smakuje. Ma bestia charakter. Ma w sumie jednak fajny balans. Ma moc. Jest dobrze.

Cloudy golden color with a small white head.
Sweet fruity hoppy aroma with tangerine, caramel and mild alcohol. The flavor is revealing more alcohol. Balanced. Sweet hoppy and bitterish. A bit boozy aftertaste.
Hyvin ei-IPAmainen. Alkoholinen.
500ml from can bought at Real Ale. Strongly boozy, but not overwhelming, which pairs well with all the resin, fruit and citrus of the beer
500ml can, pours amber orange opaque with bubbly white head. Boozy orange juice nose. Palate heavy with booze but carrying nice dank hop and bold malt character. Big and beautiful baby.
500 ml can. Pours a hazy amber with full head. Aromas of doughy malts, sweat, pithy grapefruit, and spicy tropical fruit. Flavors of candied tropical fruit, bitter citrus pine, and toasted malts. White pepper and alcohol. Better than the Human. Maybe fresher.
Can, 500 ml @ The Old Fishing Shack, CY. Amazing triple IPA with an incredibly high ABV. Full bodied beer, looks like a peach juice with thin head. Aromas are based on peach and grapefruit, strong a full taste but no trace of alcohol, but u can feel it's strong cz of the density. Some sweetness cut through the tough bitterness, very long peachy aftertaste. Great strong IPA, highly recommended...

Can at home shared with my brother. Pours gold with some head. Aroma is hoppy, a lot of pine, some herbal notes and some grapefruit. Dominated by American West coast hops and really intense pine aromas. Big body. Flavour is very intense. Big malt body, but this beer is dominated by hops. Very hoppy and also moderately to very bitter, flavour also showcases the west coast hops already evident in aroma. A lot of pine is met by earthy and herbal hop flavours, whilst the bitterness definitely wins over sweetness. Some small citrus fruitiness, definitely grapefruit, but mostly the hops is dominated by pine and resin. Finish is rather long and still hoppy, with a warming touch. A true hophead beer, lovely execution. The abv is hardly noticeable apart from a slight warmth in the finish.
Shiny, hazy, golden, small head. Classic aroma: sweet tropical fruit, grapefruit, a bit of honey. Full body, solid, sweet with long sharp bitter finish. A bit empty on the aftertaste

Uklar ravfarvet med hvidt skum.
Tung aroma af humle, fersken, nektarin, citrus, malt.
Fuld krop, stor sødme. Tilpas bitter. Meget rund og fed. Alkoholprocenten gør den lidt for tung.

Beast of a beer. Loaded with citrus fruits, resin and malts. All in balance. Fresh, but not easily drinkable. More of a sipper. Complex. Very good.
Can from BeerCraft of Bath. Aroma of pine resin, caramelised orange. Bitter flavour, grapefruit, hops, toffee, syrupy. Thick and oily, less juicy than I tend to like in this field...
44 cl can @ home. Pours amber with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are pine, grapefruit, and resin - with a bitter finish.

The aroma is medium hoppy with grapefruit, lemon, blueberry, orange, orange candy, some biscuity malt and some alcohol. Medium to full body with a soft carbonation, a medium sweetness and a light to medium bitterness. Flavor of ripe fruits, ripe orange, grapefruit, biscuit, hints of caramel, rather sweetish candy-like flavors. Finishes with a light hoppy bitterness.

BB 21.11.2018. orange very hazy color, small white head. smells earthy, candy, grassy, spices, peppery. very heavy smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, grassy, citric, pines, peppery, spices, bit boozy. finishes medium bitter with notes of grass, citrus and piney notes. Smell was not very convincing but taste is quite nice, overall quite nice but also quite heavy, Just decent, not the kind of IPA I like.
Botella obtenida en @beeringbarcelona. Color anaranjado, turbidez media, un dedo de espuma, retención media. Aroma a lúpulos cítricos con toques tropicales. En gusto más cítricos, pomelo, piel de naranja, mucha resina y pino. Amargor desmesurada, alcohol en boca y textura jabonosa. Una triple ipa muy agresiva, para bebersela un día en el que uno se encuentre en plenas facultades, muy potente.
50cl Can, thanks Harmen! Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of loads of hops, quite sharp, spruce, lots of citrus, grapefruit, some tropical fruits, resin. Flavour is sweet, light malty, citrusy, pine, spruce, grapefruit, firm bitterness. Medium bodied. Heavy stuff.
Smell of mango, guava, some oranges. Tastes of peaches, mango, oranges with grapefruit peel finish. Thick, oily body with no alcohol.
Can from Bison Beer Crafthouse. Hazy amber with very little head. Sweet, syrupy caramel aroma. I’ve really gone off triple IPAs, tastes very strong, boozy with syrupy mouthfeel and toffee. Bitter aftertaste.
Loads of hops and alcohol, but still manages to be super balanced and fruity. A work of genius to make something so strong so drinkable!
Off white rocky head left a cover on a hazy reddish orange still body.
Pine, resin, overstewed fruit & prune aroma.
Medium to full bodied, soft on the palate & clean on the finish.
Taste is as the aroma with resin, pine, grapefruit, bitter citrus & under ripe stone fruit.
Can @Luppolo Station in Rome. Cloudy light amber pour, medium off white foam. Nose: amberish alcohol maltiness, alcohol overall maltiness. Mouth: warm, dunk, embracing.
Can shared @Luppolo Station (Rome). Gialla viva, appena torbida, schiuma bianca media persistente. Al naso note di mango, passionfruit e citriche, leggero pompelmo, leggera resina. In bocca è magnificamente equilibrata, base di malto presente ma non invadente, amaro finale lungo e persistente, anche abbastanza secca a dispetto delle attese, gli 11 gradi dichiarati non si sentono assolutamente. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Davvero ottima!
Oranjegeel, witte schuimkraag, troebel, rustig langzaam stijgend koolzuur.
Aroma: Zoet Moutig, super hoppy, tropisch, ananas, mango perzik, passievrucht, meloen, grassig, pijnboom, mossig en aards van de hop. Dit belooft veel!
Smask: Moutig, zoet in begin maar al snel knalt de bitter erin... vol grassig en harsig.... spicy/kruidig, pijnboom, mossig.... wat een bak hop... die bitter houd lang aan maar ondertussen komt er veel tropisch fruit maar voren. Mango, perzik, passievrucht, veel bitter grapefruit, sinaasappelschil scherpte. Wat een smaakbom zeg! Alcohol is behoorlijk op de achtergrond..... smaak staat echt voorop.
Volle body, dik en vol.... Afdronk is wat hop plakkerig, ook wel weer droig en lang smaakvol en bitter.
Canned. Pours slightly hazy golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, caramel and tropical fruits. Sweet taste that ends up slightly more dry and pleasant bitter. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent DIPA. 🌟🌟🌟🌟👌
Cask. Golden beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is hopped, and the flavour is strongly hopped with plenty of bitterness. Overall a nice beer.
Buf, para mí un coñazo de receta entre las TIPA. Bomba de aroma a lúpulo, sí, pero muy centrado en afrutados, tropicales y húmedos. Se echa en falta un amargor serio pero, sobre todo, una base de malta chula. Básicamente encuentras notas a trigo sumadas al punto láctico de las maltas aciduladas. Va, aprobando, pero en su segmento falta mucho detalle...
