2.9 14.10.2021. On tap at Café Sara, Oslo. Pale yellow colour with white head. Aromas and flavours of German grassy hops. Soft and a little sweet with a grassy bitter finish.
3.0 09-OCT-2021, draft @Hop House Amager. Clear golden with a low, white head. Straw, spice and a litttle lemon. Sweet, actually too sweet for my liking, a nice bitterness though. Short finish, oily. Clean. Fine.
3.4 Bottle Aroma-bread, grass Appearance-golden, clear, white head Taste-light sweetness, bitterness, sourness Palate-medium body, thin, average carbonation, abrupt finish Overall-very drinkable
3.8 Bottles from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear deep golden body with a white head. Low carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of cheerios, raw potato and lemon peel. Flavour of white bread and grassy hops. Thin body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Simple, clean and easy to drink.
3.2 50cl from store in Rome, labeled as Helles Vollbier. Pours clear dark golden with soft creamy white head. Sweet malt, bread, hay and cellar-like aroma. Taste is similar, biscuit malt, bread, some nice spiciness in the end, some lemon and cereal.. almost no bitter but nice taste and very easy to drink, quite good and different tasting for a helles. Would like to try it again.
3.9 0.5 bottle (Helles Vollbier) from K-Citymarket Ruoholahti, Helsinki. Golden, clear, nice head. Crisp, hoppy and also some sweetness from malts. Very well balanced - great!
3.3 On tap at HopDog, Munich. Almost clear golden with medium white head. Malty, grainy, moderate sweetness, vague bitterness. Light bodied.
2.7 Labelled as Helles Vollbier. From a can poured a crystal clear amber with 5mm of bright white open foam that diminished slowly to a blotchy cap that laced poorly. Carbonation moderate, average and fine. Aroma is very malty with a slight wort-like sweetness and hints of musty grain as it warms. taste is extremely malty with slight sweetness and slight grain; intensity increases as it warms; no real bitterness. Light body. Smooth with a short finish. Good, but not my style.
3.3 Pours cloudy amber with ruby notes and a one finger, off-white head. Aroma is caramel and bread. Taste is caramel, moving to bready malt. Finish is caramel and bread.
3.4 Gold with a foamy white head that lingers the duration. Grainy aroma with some marshmallow sweetness underneath. Taste is mildly bitter with the grainy flavors rising at the finish. Pretty good compared to the usual „dull old Helles“.
4.0 pale golden, carbonation, white stable foam, bitter, honey, slight sweet, light acidic,
3.5 Bottle, Die Küche Bamberg. Clear golden, small short lasting head. Nice balance of corn, syrup, sweet bready malt with fine bitterness.
3.4 Bottle at home as Helles. It pours clear rich yellowy gold with a small white head. The aroma is soft and sweet, doughy white bread, cereal, grass, earth, hay and dull sweet lemon. The taste is dry, grassy upfront, hay, light spice, cereal, bready malt base and some earthy bitterness with a pleasant dryness through the finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rounded and moreish. Nice lagerbier.
4.0 Bottle 0.5l from Cafe Brecht, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 24.05.2020. Pour it clear golden color with small white head. Aroma nice malty, crispy. Taste strong grains, crispy, easy drinkable, full mouthfeel taste, crisp bitterness, awesome beer.
3.3 inkább egy svetly-re hasonlít, sokkal sötétebb mint egy szokásos helles. íze is komlósabb, csak a szolid szénsavassága juttatja eszembe. ettől még nem rossz. csak más.
3.2 (Can, 0.33 l - brewed 13.09.2019 - BB 13.09.2020, from Pien, 20200425) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, sweetness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweetish and bitter. A nice but bit too sweet brew.
3.3 0,33l can from Alko Ruoholahti, shared with wiosna @ home. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma is clean malts with some egg white. Flavor is sweet clean malts with some hops. Exquisite helles.
3.2 Presidential-necktie sky blue can. Crystal clear, pale straw pour with a white head. Rich malty aroma - straightforward cereal, on the sweet side. A little grassy, very low bittering, malty sweetness. Mouthy. Loses carbonation quickly. Drinkable, not spectacular. Market Square Liquors, Timberlane.
3.7 Can at home preparing super bowl appetizers. Gold pour. Tastes of biscuits, grass, faint honey. Crisp. What I was looking for here.
3.5 Clear gold with thin white head. Aroma malt and a hint of grass. That clean soft German lager mouthfeel. Nice.
3.5 3 month old can shared by Al, pours a darker golden with a medium head. Nose and flavor are sweet malt, old ale, German water, toast, and dark fruit yeast. Medium bodied. A little too sweet but could still drink this over most "craft" beer
3.8 Keg at We Brought Beer, Tooting. Clear pale golden with a dense white head. Aroma is bready and heavy on the malt. Sweetish flavour, but there’s a more crisp and bitter edge to the finish.
