Maine Beer Another One

Maine Beer Another One

When we expanded our brewery the stress was something to say the least. I ran out of creative juice for a minute so decided another for inspiration. Another One IPA and Weez use the same hops but different malts. The result- Another One is very light in color, and Weez is very dark. Each, however, allow the hops to shine out front.

4.2 Decent IPA.Nice pineapple.Citrus, but more hoppy pine than fruit taste
4.2 Pours tinted orange with a frothy white head. Nose is grapefruit, funk, lemon pie. Just smooth and velvety for the style. Bready, smooth florals, grass, slight zest and pepper in the back. Great package for 7abv.
4.1 Sunny yellow, prodigious rocky white head. Nose is grapefruit. Middle is clean grapefruit, slightly unripe peach, some pith, soft oat hint, light kilned malt, tropical smoothie. Finish is light citrus bitterness. Balanced and refined beer.
3.6 Gold pour, small white head. Grapefruity, with some toasty malt, pine, lemon and bread. Taste follows, very lemony and bready. It's nice, it's quite bitter... is it really a neipa? I mean, yes, it's from NE and it's an IPA but...
4.1 500ml bottle. Bright grapefruit hop aroma with notes of mango, grass, floral hops and some pine resin. Pours cloudy golden colored with a large off white head that has excellent retention and some lacing. Starts with juicy grapefruit, mango and grassy hop flavors. Finishes dry with floral and a touch of pine resiny hop bitter hop flavor. Really nice IPA.
4.0 Bright golden appearance with slight haze and a fluffy white head. Aroma of fruity hops (orange, peach), spruce, mild earthiness and a light floral/herbal spice. Similar flavor, adding mild to moderate bitterness and a light toasty sweetness. Medium body with a clean finish. Nice.
3.8 Slight haze with a white head. Tropical fruit mango pineapple aroma. Pine zest resin lemon slight bitter flavor. Medium light body. Not as juicy as many hazy ipas. Very clean flavor.
3.1 Pours a murky yellow-golden with a dull white head. Faint with notes of seltzer and lemon note. Unassuming flavor of lemon and oat.
4.0 500ml bottle. Still holding up pretty well after two months. Beautiful hazy straw pour. Grapefruit and lemon peel, grapefruit juice, pine and floral notes with a clean cracker/cereal malt backbone. Not juicy per se but still laden with hop character. Sort of a mix between old and new school NEIPA. In a lot of ways, Maine Beer Co reminds me of the Alchemist.
3.8 Very well crafted IPA. Fruity flavors with a nice finish. This beer goes down very easy. You do not feel the 7% ABV. Very nice!
3.9 Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Hazy pale yellow with a small off-white head that dissipated to a thin film. Nice lacing. The aroma is pine, tropical fruit, grapefruit, lemon. Medium body, nice level of bitter. Dry finish. Very nice and refreshing.
4.4 DATE: October 25, 2019... OCCASION: back from Trunk or Treat at BAC, we watch the ending of the Battle Bots with another (pun) gift from Brad... GLASSWARE: Duvel tulip... pours an impressively murky body, golden and bright.... its snow-white head is thick, fluffy and laced around like a dolly.... a picture of what an IPA should look like... massive grapefruit--does grapefruit grow in Maine? it should after Maine Beer gets done--mango, lemon, peppercorn, immense pine all make this a hop-heavy delivery... its botanical allure is appreciable, with thick fruits and a bit of cracker to boot... this sips with the weight and reward of an IPA--yet it chews and buzzes as something bigger, something worth sipping... yet before you know it, the glass is empty... what a mixture of pine and grapefruit, juicy and seasoned with pepper... engaging, rewarding, and as perfect as a beer could be...if only this didn't have the price tag it did...
4.1 0,5l at my place in Cartagena, bougth in Colombia. Bottled 09/10/2019. amber murky color, small white head. smells pines, earthy, grassy, some passion fruit. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes of pines, passion fruit, earthy, citric, grassy. some oats, light tobacco. finishes medium bitter with notes of pines, earthy notes and some tobacco. very nice one, great balance, very good and smooth to drink. lovely
4.0 Half growler. Foggy, pale golden with lots of little legs supporting a disc of meringue foam above. Aroma of pineapple, orange, grapefruit, lemon, resin and grass. Flavors of lemon, garlic, pineapple, orange, toasted oat cereal, flowery pollen and resin. Medium mouthfeel with an easy drinking balance. Medium carbonation.
3.5 A well made IPA, still drinking good after a month. From Wegman's Rochester. Lots of foam.
4.0 Bottle. Pours a somewhat clear gold with a nice white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, and pine. Taste is lemon, other fruit, grass, pine, and malt. Very nice.
3.9 Nice straw color, white heat. Well balanced ipa with a lean toward the pine and pepper end of the spectrum. May just be the time and place, but feels like a great Maine beer- pair with lobster, etc.
4.3 500ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy bright gold with a big fluffy cratering head. Peach, pear, orange, soft cereal, floral, fragrant citrus peel. Soft full body. Such a gentle example of the style. Absolutely excellent.
4.0 Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a dense finger or so of head. Aromas are decent... citrusy lemon with a bit of grass. Flavor is good... lemon pith and light malt. Very nice.
3.9 Bottle from Consumers Beverages. Hazy golden. Pine, citrus, fairly bitter and dry. Slightly malty and biscuit.
4.5 Now THIS is an IPA! Great taste, ok great everything. Literally the only flaw is the high price, but it's also a perfect example of you get what you pay for.
4.1 Poured from bottle. Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Tropical fruit hop aroma. Some biscuit and slightly toasted malt flavors go up against an assertive but well-integrated hop backing with a bit of lingering bitterness. Maintains the hop forward profile of an IPA but has a more interesting malt component than the average IPA. Great stuff.
4.1 Fresh 500ml bottle. About 2 weeks old. Pours a mostly clear golden color and topped a small off white layer of foam that shows good retention before settling to a thin film and leaves patches of lace around the glass. The aroma shows notes of citrus fruit with hints of orange, grapefruit, and mango over a toasted biscuit and pale malt base with just a touch of resinous pine. The flavor follows suit with notes of juicy citrus with the orange, grapefruit, and mango up front and backed up nicely by the toasted biscuit and pale malts with a firm hop bitterness on the back end to balance things out. Medium bodied and smooth with balanced carbonation that leads to a soft, bitter sweet citrus finish. Really solid and really tasty IPA. Really glad I got to try a fresh bottle as I could see this could fall off pretty quickly. Good stuff for sure.
4.0 Bottle. Hazy yellow, white head. Tropical fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, pine. Very nice.
4.3 Bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (Lumpkin). Big pungent grapefruit nose, with grapefruit rind, tropical fruit and pine resin. Hazy medium amber color, with a thick fluffy white head. Wonderful tropical fruit and citrus flavors, and light pepper swirling around in front of the crunchy bitter grassy hops. The hops really shine. Medium body, with a bit of hop texture. Great!
3.8 500ml bottle. Bottled 12/25/18. Sweetish, crisp and grassy hoppy with some pine, resin and zesty citrusy notes, hints of grapefruit and bitterness. Okay.
3.9 Gold pour with a thin white head leaving lots of lace behind. Super pine rosin aroma with a hint of fruit. Taste is very complex and starts out with the same rosin hop attack, then settles down into a mild sweet peach fade. Amazing beer.
4.0 Bottle (500 ml). Pale yellow with big white head that lasts and lasts. Subdued aroma with some pine and pineapple. Taste is similar with more tropical and less pine. Not much bitterness. There are lots of hop flavors going on here and it hard to describe them. Each sip seems to bring something new. Quite good. Update: had again and enjoyed it a lot. Was 3.9, now 4.0.
4.3 A curious IPA that really fools the drinker. Nose shows an ass ton of pine resin, some pineapple and grapefruit. Seems like it's going to be a west coast IPA, then turns a corner when you take your first sip. The pininess drops away, and all sharpness from the hops dissipates leaving behind a super jucy pear and peach nectar flavor with traces of hops riding on top. As it pulls into its destination, the hops rise once more, but decidedly more tropical and less resiny. A Rollercoaster ride for sure.
4.0 Aroma: sweet and juicy; Appearance: hazy yellow pour with creamy white head; Taste: lots of pine and juiciness; malty finish; Palate: medium body; Overall: delicious. Would love to get again.
