Maine Beer MO

Maine Beer MO

Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry.

3.5 Light yellow light head. Big sharp aromas of citrus, pine, slight caramel, fruity hops. Flavors mango, pine, citrus, pine slight caramel backbone. More on the ipa aside with a slight more sweetness than a usual ipa. Overall though would take this as an ipa if it wasn't labeled a pale ale. Medium sweet slight dry aftertaste. Pretty decent. The bottle date was slightly over the 90 day window, got it discounted. Still pretty good!
3.4 Taster. Pours a clear, bronze color, with a small, off-white head. Cloves, pine sap, toffee, and light menthol. Sweet and malty, with a pleasant, sharp bitterness. Light and crisp. Might be a little skunked, sadly.

2.3 Sampled on draft at 3 Rivers this beer poured a hazy golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was tart pine, lemon, grapefruit and tequila. The flavor was pine, grapefruit, earthiness and cactus. Long finish. Medium body.
3.6 Poured from a 25 oz bottle into a tall tulip. Hazy golden yellow with a moderate white head that forms a light lacing. Aroma is passionfruit, citrus, and pine. Refreshing, clean, and light on the palate.
4.4 Really enjoyed this one. Amazing balance of citrus hops and malt. Nothing is sticking out and I enjoyed every drop from start to the end.
4.1 Shared pint bottle. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a very big bubbly white head. Aromas of apricot, sweet citrus juice, mango, and pine. Significantly floral. Semi sweet citrus taste. A bit of lingering bitterness. Crisp and bubbly.
3.9 Bottle from Lunardi’s in San Jose, CA. Aroma is juicy, vegetal citrus. Taste is light bread, earthy orange, with a crisp, dry finish. Classic Maine Beer Co.
3.5 Enjoyable, pale malt based american style pale ale. Dry finish. Crisp and short.
4.0 Deep yellow color, nose of bright citrus. Big, juicy and bitter taste. Finish is clean with a lingering bitterness. Very good APA.
4.0 Hazy golden color with off-white head. Aroma has red grapefruit, orange rind and other citrus fruits on top of a bready malt backbone with some yeast notes. Taste is also orange and citrus forward with a light grapefruit peel bitterness on the finish. Medium plus body with smooth mouthfeel. Really easy drinking and soft on the palate. Reminds me of the Russian River hoppy beers.
4.1 Bottle. Pours golden with a small white head. Citrusy aroma with tropical fruit. Mildly hoppy and light on the palate. I enjoyed this.
3.7 Bottle sampled at gregwilsonstl's tasting. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, pine and passionfruit. The taste was similar to the aroma with more citrus, pine passionfruit with medium carbonation and a nice smooth aftertaste. Tasty.
4.0 Like all of the Maine Beer Co beers this is an unexpected delight. Great crisp finish and just the right combo of hops. This brewery never disappoints.
3.7 As dry a pale ale as I've come across, resinous and bitter with veins of citrus and pine. Malts are barely a factor; hints of grain and cracker add the slightest hint of balance. I lean towards Peeper, but I can see killing a couple pints of this as well. Tasty.
4.3 Very fruity. Passionfruit. Kiwi. Sweet than dry. Tasted at my random bottle share.
3.5 Sampled at Gregwilsonstls. Almost clear gooden with off white foam. This is earthy. Pine and fruit. Fairly complex. An interesting take. Dryer.
3.4 on tap at Crafty's in Northeast Phila - clear golden color. Sweet tropical aroma. Flavor is average.
3.9 Bottle. Zesty passion fruit aroma, a hint cream cheese. Chewy medium body, chewy, sparkly, tropics, passion fruit, light lime, very nice well crafted and balanced.
4.1 Bottle, many thanks Claude! Hazy golden color with fluffy white head. Aroma is light cat piss, tropical fruits, bready. Taste is tropical fruits zezty, bready, super balanced, a bit juicy, piney, lightly bitter finish. Very velvety mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Excellent!
3.6 Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Summer fruit and citrus aroma. Summer fruit and tropical fruit flavor with light citrus. Medium bodied. Tropical fruit and light grapefruit linger with light malt.
4.0 500ml bottle at hops me. Pours deep, hazy gold with lasting, chunky, off white head. Orange peel, lemon, pineapple, dank pine. Fine carbonation. Well balanced and super smooth. Lingering dry finish. Outstanding.
4.8 I'm beginning to think that Maine Beer doesn't brew anything with hops that's less than spectacular. MO has all of the staples of hoppy Maine ale: superb balance, silky feel, almost a complete lack of bitterness, and that distinctly dry, clean getaway. MO has a somewhat dank and citrusy nose. Lemon, orange peel, grapefruit, passion fruit, and pine in the hop profile. There's some biscuit and honey character from the malt. Like any Maine beer, this one just keeps calling out to you until you've drained the glass.
3.4 Cloudy golden pour with a sticky white head. Unassuming, yet clean nose and flavor.
3.0 Bottle. A- Hoppy, citrus. A- Gold color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Citrus, dank, grassy, pine, bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Quite bitter and grassy. Lots of dank wet flavors. Not my favorite yet one of the "best" from Maine I had.
4.0 Bottle (500ml). Mostly clear light golden with big white head that lasts and lasts. Nice cirus aroma. Smells fresh even 3 months after bottling. Taste grapefruit and a little lemon. Some pine in the end and very little sweetness. Great.
4.0 Not a bad pale ale, but not great. Nothing distinctive. Drinkable but doesn't seem too fresh. Touch thin, decent finish. Update: like it much better this time around, more fresh and flavorful. Pick up the Citrus and some dankness. Good beer.
4.2 Bottle from Wine Tree East. Pours a clear orange gold with a full 2 fingers of head that lingers. Lovely grapefruit, iyokan aromas with faint pine and stone fruit as it warms. Perfect texture...great carbonation, mineral water note with low malt character. Medium bitter pine notes with a long dry finish with some dried stone fruit and zesty citrus. My first beer from Maine Beer and it did not disappoint. I could drink this all day.
3.8 Citrus, tropical fruits, biscuits and pine in nose. Pours golden with white head. Taste is medium dry with tropical fruits, cereal, citrus and biscuits. Medium bitter finish, average carbo. Overall very good.
