Maisel & Friends IPA

Maisel & Friends IPA

Bottle: Unfiltered

Hopped to the Hilt! – Intense. Pure. Awesome.
Intense. Pure. Awesome. What more can we say about our flagship IPA?

We've engineered this hop bomb to explode your mouth’s every nerve ending and cool it back down simultaneously. Packed full of some of our favourite hop varieties, including Ahtanum and Cascade, this beer blows back the hair of even the biggest hopheads.

The copper colour and beautiful white head will already have you salivating as the bartender brings your first beer over, and the hops will hit you before you can even lift the beer from the table. Is that red berries you smell?
Take a nice long sip and enjoy that first hop explosion: wild berries, citrus, and just a hint of plumbs. On the way down the gullet, you’ll get that beautiful bitterness that has made IPAs famous the world around. Round, refreshing, and bitter. What more could you ask for?

3.4 Cloudy golden pour. Grapefruity and malty aroma some hops. Hoppy but heavily malty and marmalady (nice word from another reviewer) , alcoholic taste. For me too strong, too heavy, aftertaste too boozy. Still, as another reviewer put it, it's an old school IPA... Being a German brew, can't help thinking they've gone for a bockbeer vibe. Medium mouthfeel. Not a session beer anyway! And not enough character for a beer to slowly sip and savour. Much prefer lighter Maisels IPA for that.
3.2 Bottle from Metro. Medium caramel Albert with moderate head. Light citrusy, mild pine and caramel nose. Slightly thin body, more Pale Ale bitterness level. Mild hop flavors of citrus and earthy pine needles, interesting and pretty drinkable but nothing astounding.
3.5 Butelka 0,33 litra, zakupiona przez kolegę gdzieś w Berlinie. Wypita 23.10.2021.
3.7 [33cl bottle on board a Rhine cruise ship somewhere near Mainz.] A bright amber pour with a loose white head; grapefruit aroma; clean and sharp grapefruit taste with a caramel malt body; and a bitter marmalade finish. A tasty, fruity IPA.
3.5 Colore giallo/arancio; schiuma alta, compatta e persistente. Al naso agrumi; in bocca note floreali. Finale secco e amaro. Birra di buona bevuta, carbonazione bassa.
3.5 Clear amber color with medium lacing off-white head. Aroma has resin, caramel and grapefruit. Taste is malty sweet with long bitter and quite dry aftertaste. Flavors of grapefruit, caramel, malt, resin and needles. Nice straightforward old school ipa.
3.3 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with an average white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical. Taste is similar with a bit of pine. Mild IPA.
3.4 (330ml bottle, Berlin. 19 Aug 2021) AROMA: nice classic IPA nose, not overly strong, decent hops, light malt and pine, soft tropical fruit, not bold but inviting APPEARANCE: hazy light to medium amber, nice frothy whipped off-white foam, visible carbonation inside the haze TASTE: a bit fruity, balanced bittering and dry hops, backbone of roasted malt and grain, citrus zest, touch of grapefruit, leather, toast, some mocha PALATE: medium body, quite smooth and some creaminess, moderate bitterness, kind of between a session IPA and a full bodied IPA OVERALL: not super bold but has typical IPA characteristics, a good intro example for beginner IPA drinkers, balanced, rich enough to appreciate and smooth enough to be very drinkable.
4.0 Warm light ambery color. Taste of sweet orange zest and tropical fruits, balanced and medium dryness with a medium body. One of the best ipas i know produced in germany, refreshing all year long.
3.0 Excellent gold hazy colour. Malty smell and taste. Thick body and moderate hoppiness. Aftertaste is bitter the whole 50 IBUs. Pleasant beer
3.8 Bitterness with hoppy citrus taste. Fresh and rich taste in the same time
3.1 Bottle @ home. Clear yellow w a medium high white head, nice lacings. Aroma medium malty (bread) and hoppy (piney, vegetables). Flavor light to medium sweet and bitter, light spicy. Light to medium body, average carbonated.
3.1 Flaske: Orange klar øl med fint skumhoved. Duften er gammel humle. Let fyrretræ. Gammeldags IPA. Smagen er igen let fyrretræ men med en del bitterhed. Ikke særlig god.
2.6 Bottle.Clear yellow colour with medium white head.Aroma of citrus and hops feels a bit dusty and thin hint of grass and corn boring by style beer.
2.4 33 cl. bottle at home. Bought at Menu Hellerup. Medium high fluffy white lasting head. Clear yellow golden body. Weak and odd aroma of boiled vedgetables. Weak straw aroma with little hops bitterness, high carbonation and a short finish.
3.4 Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Strong piney hops, some orange peel, full body, a little sweetness in finish. Nice.

3.3 bottle from Heinrichs 3000 Kornwestheim. Amber with a small off-white head, quite stable. Fruity nose. Full-bodied, robust malty base, citrusy, fruity and resiny hops.
2.2 Nada que reseñar.
3.2 Amber colour with small foam. Light smell of citrus fruits and yeast. Taste of hops, mild malt and orange.
3.6 Actually a very good very classic ipa. Like a great 90s california ipa. Great balance of hop flavour and bitterness and malt body. Simmel dresden
3.4 Veiled golden with a fine sparkling and a nice white head, compact and persistent. Classic IPA with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. With resin and red fruits for taste, spiced notes. Not too dry for a reasonable hopping.
3.4 opalescent dark golden colour, huge, dense yellowish ecru-ish head; aroma of marmalade, pine resiny, grapefruity and lemon zesty notes; bittersweet taste with pine resinyfruity-honey-like notes; correct one
2.5 Ok. But at plain IPA. Nothing extra about This.
3.4 # 1996; 5/2020. Resiny and fruity aroma. Amber, hazy body. Bitter, resiny, red fruits. Very good IPA. 0,3 l, bottle, supermarket, Pilsen (Bohemia, CZ).
3.2 Thin white foam, golden clear colour, full nose of fruits and berries which continues in the taste. mild carbonization, almost too little. Medium bodied with not much aftertaste which makes it rather light. Nice summer IPA
3.4 I really think it is a good beer, low price for a craft one. Average color but great smell and taste.
3.3 On tap at Wunderbar, Zagreb. Shared with little Dina. Almost clear golden, small off-white head. Light floral hops, camomile, light berries such as strawberry. Some hay and grain underneath. Slightly too sweet and malty. Low or no bitterness. Fruity. Citrusy flavour. Light body, gentle.
