(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 21.03.2020, at One Pint Pub, 20200310) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, honey, grass and spiciness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, honey, Belgian style yeast, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. A balanced strong brew with fruity and spicy notes.

Bottle - Slightly cloudy golden yellow with initial large white head. Strong lemony, spicey aroma. Big alcohol kick on taste which it should have at 10% - a sipping beer. Ok mouthfeel. Fruity, spicey with strong finish. Good example of strong beer.
Pours cloudy golden with a large white frothy head. Aroma: fine Belgian yeast, fruit, malt, candy. Full body. Average to lively carbonation. Taste: light to medium sweet, malty, fruity, leathery, spicy, a bit boozy. Light bitterness. Very classical.
Clear golden color with medium lacing off-white head. Aroma has sweet fruits, yeast and a hint of alcohol. Taste is malty sweet with long a bit sweet and bitter aftertaste. Flavors of sweet fruits like apricot and raisins, yeast and woody notes. Some alcohol warmth too.
Blonde and slightly hazy appearance. Medium head and slightly spicy.Some bitterness is also present.A strong presence of alcohol makes you respect it. An excelent example of this style which is very drinkable but needs to be treated with serious respect.
De Tercertiempocervezas. En copa Grimbergen. Viendo Wonderwoman con los niños (no tienen sueño). Suave en boca, con algo de sensacion alcoholica que no molesta y aun con ella se bebe muy rapida. Flojilla en sabor
Bottle, gifted by a co-worker in like 2010 so it's got some age on it. Hazy golden copper pour with a small white head. Aroma is banana bread, spice, candi sugar, overripe pears. Flavor is sweet, smooth overripe fruits, sweet bread, spice, some booze. Medium plus body, lower carbonation perhaps from the age. Enjoyable overall.

28.06.2019: a bottle at the Cafe Bastille near Taipower Building MRT. Aroma: vegetables, ginger ale, very inviting. Appearance: opaque lemony amber, minimal lacing. Palate: full-bodied and oily, fizzy carbonation; long and complex, predominantly bitter finish. Taste: heavily bitter and sweet, well-balanced. Floral notes, some underlying iron, and pepper from the booze. A well-crafted beverage.
Robe blond orangé, trouble, mousse moyenne qui dure peu. Nez assez riche, malt léger, levure, herbe. En bouche, très corpulent, sucré, présence de l'alcool, léger acidulé (froment?), atténué par le sucre. Amertume résiduelle en finale. Pas mal mais quand même très fort, dans le genre lager fortes, mais en meilleur cependant, car plus d'équilibre, présence du houblon et richesse des arômes.

Colore molto carico. Bevilità che ha pochi rivali con questa gradazione alcolica. Per lo stile risulta tuttavia più espressiva al palato che non al naso dove regala spezie e poco più.

Dieses Tripel mag nicht nur durch den Namen etwas abschreckend wirken, ist aber wunderbar ausgewogen. Der Malzkörper bestimmt und der schwere Alkohol wirkt unterstützend und tritt schon ordentlich in erscheinung -aber noch nicht widerlich.
Gutes, solides belgisches Strong Ale.
Bought at drankdozijn.nl in a 750 ml bottle with cork. Appearance; light golden, a bit hazy beer with a clear white head. Nose; sweet malts, Belgian yeast and some clover. Taste; some biscuit, a bit of booze and some clover from the yeast. This is a nicely balanced triple, with a bit of a dry finish. I had better, but also far worse.
Clear golden with a beaut of a white foamy head, carbonation rising up from the bottom of the glass. Sweet malty aroma, caramel and fudge and yeasts. Over medium sweet, just under medium bitter. Medium to full bodied with moderate bubblies. Terrific, exceeding the average.
