3.9Bottle at The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Clear dark amber colour lasting beige head. Big resin grapefruit pine aroma. Big classic west coast ipa. Light and agile in the mouth. Not sweet or heavy. More or less a joy to drink. The Bottle lasted minutes. Good ipa. Solid not overly stunning bug very solid.
3.7355ml bottle at home. Slightly hazy orange with a medium white soapy head. Medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Nice well balanced sweet and bitter tones. Citrus, tropical fruits, pine, malts, spices and caramel. Tasty IPA.
3.3Bottle at Yosemite lodge. As tuolumne meadows pale ale. Clear deep orange coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head. Aroma is light caramel, toasted piney malts, little orange rind. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, rounded. Flavour is composed of sweet base grains , burnt pine hops, toasted malts. Pretty bog standard old school IPA.
3.4Bottle, shared with Parksy. Hazy medium amber gold, white head. Zesty, lemon-lime hop profile, tart and bitter. Interesting.
3.3Clear copper pour with small beige head. Malty caramel, bitter aroma with very little fruity hops.. Flavors are pretty crisp but again a weak hop profile. This does not seem fresh and this was bought only a few miles from thebrewery one week ago. A lightly hopped, malty ipa. It has a nice mouthfeel though.
3.2Bottle. Pours clear amber with a medium head and good lacing. Nice hoppy aroma thats mostly citrus and some pine. Taste is hops dominated with a nice up-front punch of grapefruit, with a citrus/pine body and a lightly bitter finish. Smooth drinking and well crafted.
4.0Little head retention, great aroma of tropical fruit-grapefruit. Taste is spot on. Love it
3.4Tap, gold pour, white head, nose is grapefruit, same with taste, hoppy, pretty good
3.8(En fût au Hooley’s Irish pub): Un nez goulûment juteux et miellé qui invite follement. En bouche c’est indéniablement machable et envahissant, les fruits sont presque en purée, la finale un brin rouillée et molle.
3.0Bottle. Pretty nice smooth IPA. Pale golden colour. Tastes good after a day in the mountains.
2.8Pour is a clear copper with a huge white head. Aroma is a decent hop followed by some cracker malt and a bit of sweet caramel. Flavor is a minimal hop with a more chewy earthy malt. This was not what I was expecting from an IPA from the west coast. Way malt heavy and the hops have disappeared. There is no date on the bottle so this could be months old. Put a frigging best by or bottled on date on IPA’s!
3.8IPA.
さわやかなポップと苦味
バランスよくできてる.
3.012 Fl OZ ($9.99 6 pack) pretty good but not in the same ranking as the other IPAs i’ve had recently, this one falls short and I can tell it has that rang out dish cloth taste at the end.
3.4Pours clear deep amber. Sufficient head. Aroma is not hoppy but like buttered cracker crust with slight citrus. Taste is malty sweet with tropical fruit and bitter finish with grapefruit and some alcohol that lasts. Mouthfeel is typical.
3.6Aroma is citrus and malts, taste is lemon grass and citrus and some malts, pretty good!
4.8It tastes like you’re driving up the 395 along the Eastern Sierra. The sage and juniper in are so good. It’s a solid unique IPA.
2.5Purchased this beer in 22 oz bomber from Backyard Bottle Shop & Tap Room in Murrieta CA.
Poured a clear medium yellow with a 1" inch foam head that settled to a skim after a few minutes. Some lacing noted.
Aroma was lightly grainy and crackers, followed by earthy notes, with an almost stale cardboard aroma. I did’t pick up any citrus, pine, or dank type aromas.
Medium body with normal for style carbonation.
Flavor was similar to saltine crackers with some very light grapefruit hop flavor, I found this beer to be crisp with little sweetness. Medium for style bitterness at the end. Again, I tasted a little "cardboard" like flavor.
Overall, I found this IPA to be at the lower end of better American west coast style IPAs. I think if this was brewed with Pilsner yeast as a lager, it would tasted more like a nice hoppy Pilsner.
3.522oz bomber pours up with a clear copper body that supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up some pine hops, a sliver of orange gummy bear, a bit of grapefruit and then just noticeable herbal to earthy notes. The taste starts with snippets of citrus and tropical fruity juiciness and then more and more grapefruit like bitterness laced with a thin ribbon of resiny hoppiness murmur to the surface. It gets to modest levels of juiciness midway and into the finish. Pretty nice but it is coming across a bit long of tooth (but as usual full price at the bottle shop).
3.622oz bottle from Bine and Vine, poured at home. Clear amber with white head. Fruits cherry and hops on the nose. Taste is a basement/dank, yet fruity and citrus. Pretty good, not the best.
3.1Bottled 355ml. -Clear dark golden coloured, small off-white head, nutty hoppy nose. Moderate malty, caramel, fruity orange hoppy and touch of alcohol with notes of wood in the finish. Not bad.
3.2"the recipe or quality of this beer must have changed over the last two or three years (as of 12/08 the last review is from 2006!)...i wouldn’t call this beer weak, thin, or english style. it pours/looks like you’re standard ipa, with a great, inviting citrus & pine aroma. nothing super complex in the beer, but the flavor is good. nice balance, with a lean towards the hops, medium bodied. it actually reminds me of Stone’s ipa, just to a lesser degree. good, but not that good. i’ll get it again. better than their 395 IPA. 10/10-lackluster the last couple times, including this time in a can. downgrade."
12/19-not what it once was. Batch at GB Sparks was a straight 3.
3.9Flaske: Både som epic og som toulumne. Orange klar øl med et stort skumhoved. Duften er mango, citrus og lidt græs. Dejlig smag, næstbedste Mammoth efter Blondibock.
3.8Super refreshing after a long day in the mountains!!! Crisp, hops, citrus, pine and nicely balanced.
4.1From a can into a goblet. From the moment I open this this beer and poured it, i could smell the hops and could tell it had a a lot of malt from the amber appearance. I would buy this again as well saved a few cans for gifts
3.612 oz bottle purchased as a single at the Lodgepole general store in Sequoia National Park. Enjoyed as “Tuolumne Meadows IPA”. The pour is hazed orange copper with a smallish off white head. The aroma is faint floral hops along with cracker malt. The taste is a pleasant blend of the dry floral, softly bitter hops and the cracker toasted malt. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and a clean dry softly bitter mineral finish. Nice.
4.0On tap at Anthill Pub. A bit of pine aroma with a strong caramel malt scent. Crystal clear orange / amber with a white head. All the aromas follow right into the flavor along with a bit of grapefruit and pith. There’s an earthy almost sour bitterness that follows this. Leaves a nice bitter leaf taste behind. Very good IPA.
3.8A- Pours a deep amber color with a thin, chunky, off white head.
S- Lots of pine in the nose, resin, faint sweetness.
T- Nice pine note up front that fades into slight sweetness on the back end.
M- Medium bodied with a good deal of carbonation.
D- This is a very drinkable but fairly tame IPA
3.3Bomber. Little hop presence, dominated by malt. Pours a bit hazy with just a bit of head. Taste is like the nose, a bit sweet for me. Not particularly memorable.
I don’t think this is fresh beer. These showed up at a local store, allegedly just picked up from the brewery. 2013 stamped on the bottle. If you’re distributing 3 month (or more!) old IPA you are not doing your beer -- or the drinker -- right.
4.2Clear pearl copper colors. Great sawdust pine smell. Good fall leaf bitter bite to the taste. Leaves a lasting bitter behind.
3.6Deep gold. Fresh piney hop aroma. Taste is fruity, piney and citrusy fresh hops. Nicely balanced with ample caramel malt. Above avg IPA.
