Marble Dobber IPA

Marble Dobber IPA

Cask, Keg & Can; Regular.

The biggest Marble in the pack, this dark golden India pale ale is ‘Pint’ grown up, we are proud of its pronounced New Zealand hop character and smooth biscuit base offset by fruit aroma. This beer just keeps on giving.

3.7 From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours rather hazy gold with abundant white foam, fine. Aroma is tropical and sweet, quite nice. Body is relatively dense, worth moderate carbonation. Taste is rather bitter, but balanced by the sweetness given by a good body. Final is long and bitter.
3.7 Can at original 6.5% ABV. Pours golden with a small head. Citrus and tropical fruit on the nose. Taste is bitter with some pine and citrus. Long finish. Decent.

3.8 Cask Half Pint at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London in Sept 2010 - Hazy Yellow Gold in colour. Very hoppy aroma. Very Hoppy; piney oily resinous hops. Very fruity; citrus grapefruit, lemon and tropical fruit. Malty backbone; caramel. Nice citrus hoppy bite. Bitter citrus fruity resinous hops over malt backbone. Terrific IPA! (2010-09)

3.8 Pompa @ scurreria. Chiara con bella schiuma. Bella secca ed amara, aroma fruttato
4.1 Bottle from utobeer. Class IPA. Very balanced but still the hoppy high but with the earthy finish. Very cool.
3.9 Poured from a bottle, pretty clear pale gold colour. Decent hop aroma, with a very well balanced hop / malt profile, good dry hop finish. Very good British attempt at a U.S. style ipa.
3.9 Tasting at Mrks. Looks orange, tastes orange. Weed hops. Grapefruit, sweet, bitter. Backlog from 2014/12/27.
3.7 500ml bottle -bottle conditioned- pours a hazy mid amber with a nice white head that fades to a cap. Good nose of tropical fruit. Melon, pineapple and a bit of grapefruit come through on the taste. Lovely light body with soft to medium carbonation and a nice but not aggressive bitterness. Another cracking beer from marble.
3.6 Pint bottle. Quite the gusher. A big fluffy off white head leaves sticky lace. The foam is slow to fall. The beer under it is very cloudy and orange golden. The aroma is pungent tropical fruit with a bit of spice. Hops lead here and are earthy and fruity. They bring very mild bitterness that grows some. I taste a little nectar and some light floral notes. Caramel and toffee. The earth returns in a big way at the finish.
3.8 Bottle a cloudy golden yellow colored beer with a white head aroma malts citrus pineapple fruits some grapefruits spicy and bitter hops flavor malts citrus fruits pineapple some grapefruits spicy some earthly notes and a bitter hoppy aftertaste
4.1 Shared bottle. Golden color, high carbonation, white and quickly fading head. Beautifull smell and aroma of pines, spruce, flowers. Medium bitter, exactly which I expect from IPA. Very good and balanced.
4.1 Bottle from Stirchley wines. Slightly hazy golden beer with tight medium head. Aroma of grapefruit and sweetish malts. Taste is grapefruit, light pine resin, sweetish malts, fruity and some caramel. Fizzy on the palate. Very moorish, very good.
3.8 Pale, straw coloured with a small but lasting head. Grassy, citrus nose. More citrus & piney tasting hops. An excellent hoppy IPA. Rated by BrewTom
3.3 Bottled (backlog). Deep golden/pale amber colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, some floral and mild fruity notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, nectary and some sweet malts to it. A bit thin as for the palate, but still wellbalanced and fresh to drink.

4.0 Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A clear deep golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of zesty grapefruit, mango, lemon, passion fruit, some caramel, subtle biscuit, pine and grassy hops. Taste of grapefruit, mango, lemon, passion fruit, some resin, caramel, subtle biscuit and grassy hops. Medium to full bodied and soft carbonation. A smooth, citrusy hop bitterness in the finish. Packed full of hops but also balanced with sweet caramel and biscuit maltiness, also helps that it’s so smooth. A great cask IPA.
3.7 500ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Big hoppy flavours with vibrant NZ hops and fuzzy grapefruit taking centre stage. Very drinkable.
3.6 Bottle from Heaton Hops. Pours amber with an off white head. Really nice grapefruit aroma. Starts quite sweet with grapefruit and caramel before a more bitter pine finish. Something is missing though. Just a little thin perhaps.
3.8 Draft at Uiltje Bar. Pours clear dark golden with an off white head. Aroma of orange peel, citrus, weedy hops, grapefruit and light malt. Flavor is light sweet and moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
3.6 Draft @ Uiltje bar. Pours a clear yellow beer with a medium sized white head on top. Aroma of cannabis, vegetables, leafy hops. Flavor is bitter, vegetables again, some white fruits in the aftertaste. Nice in balance, not too bitter yet full bodied. Very nice, fresh hoppy influences. Good one
3.7 Bottle at home. Pours amber with a large head, the taste is fruity and refreshing!
4.0 (Marble Dobber) Bottle at home, 500 ml, served into an english pint glass, ABV 5.9% Mostly clear body, orange in colour, with a huge slightly off-white head, very thick and with great retention, leaving heavy lacing behind. Very hoppy aroma, very intense. Citrus and grapefruit, very faint nuts, pine too. Nice taste too, again very hoppy and bitter from the first sip. Citrus and orange peel, solid malt backbone, grass and lemon leaves, light cookie dough on the finish. Medium bodied, good carbonation, very dry on the palate. Great IPA, unexpectedly so.
4.0 Bottle from the hive with the new design. Slightly hazy gold, big whitish head. Fruity and hoppy nose. Sweetish grapefruit and pine taste, balanced with good bitterness. Nice finish. A really solid and tasty ipa, one of my favourites.
