Our favorite aromatic and bittering hops deliver a fragrant citrus aroma and snappy hop character to this eminently quaffable IPA.

3.2 Bottle from Whole Foods. Cloudy orange golden pour with small skin of airy head. Funky, musty, citrusy, resembles an APA more than an IPA. A bit of a let down after Elevated.
3.8 Just put on tap at the angel’s trumpet. Cloudy orange. Citrus hop aroma. Taste citrus with papaya and a tad pineapple.
3.6 Solid IPA. Not the most interesting hop profile. There’s also a tiny bit of a buttery flavor that’s kind of weird.
3.3 .33l bottl from Kavu. Tnx Mate! Pours clear golden with low white head. Aroma is citrus fruits, malts, hops and hint of alcohol. Flavor is fruits, malts, bread, caramel notes and caramel. Hops in the end.
3.3 Taste from a friend (bottle) @ our hotel. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma is fruity malts. Flavor is fruity malts with some hops. Pretty decent pale ale.
3.4 Aroma is grapefruit. Golden yellow color with a small head. Taste is fairly strong grapefruit, a decent malt sweetness with just a hint of warmth from the ABV. The bitterness is a bit too soapy at the backend for my tastes. A very good IPA, but not quite a great one.
3.7 From can, pale amber color with minimal off white foam. Pleasant mild citric aroma with hint of pine. Pronounced grapefruit and earthy hop flavor, pleasant slightly sweet malt balance. Above average.
3.6 Can in Santa Fe. Pours a pale yellow orange, very thin white head. Aroma is light pine, bread, creamy sweet malts, funky citrus. Flavor is similar, bread, pine, funky earthy citrus.
3.2 light amber color with a couple fingers of white head. aroma is grapefruit and pine. Flavor is grapefruit, pine, and malt.
3.2 Pours fizzy light gold, minimal off white head, some nice sediment. Definite Citra and Simcoe flavors. I think the bottle said 95 IBU? Does not taste like 95 at all, malt is a bit too present. Not bad, but not great.
4.4 Bottle from local Smith’s. Dark golden pour with quickly dissipating white head, very light carbonation. Like its Red Ale brother, the hops aroma is loud and proud, announcing itself as soon as you pop the cap. Excellent citrusy west coast IPA hop profile, not unlike Stone, although the malt profile is much thinner and more agreeable IMO. All in all, a VERY good IPA!
3.1 the description is, "Our favorite aromatic and bittering hops deliver a fragrant citrus aroma and snappy hop character to this eminently quaffable IPA." unfortunately none of this is true. Its a sweet malty lightly hopped unbalanced mess. Blech.
3.7 Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light pine aroma. Grapefruit and light orange flavor with light pine. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger.
3.7 Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear, copper color with a thin, lacing white head. Nice, citrus aroma with hops hanging around. Very smooth, clean hoppy taste with a grapefruit finish. Solid IPA.
3.7 Golden, white head, nice lacing. Citrus, orange, mild grapefruit, mild grass, and mild sweet hard rock candy. Full bodied, nice citrus-lemony notes, mild toast. Nice balance, medium bitterness, and great dryness.
3.6 Can at home. Pours clear dark gold with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is pine, citrus, and herbal hops with lime notes, pear esters and biscuit malt. Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness, light esters, supporting crisp malt and a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.
3.7 12 oz bottle. Tasted on 1/31/15. Bottle courtesy of Judy & Pete. Aroma had floral, pine & a little dank smell to it. Taste was good with a light malt backing & a lot a hop bitterness. Overall a good IPA.
3.4 Can. Cloudy golden. Aroma, in descending order, pine, citrus, grass. Flavor is possibly past prime. Nutty influence on pine and grass. Average IPA.
3.8 12oz bottle picked up while in Albuquerque. Pours out a golden topped with a nice head. Nose is citrus hops bread malts and a nice tropical fruit twist aswell. Taste is as the nose with some pretty dank hops nice and solid hop profile with a strong malt bill.
2.9 Bottle pour, golden clear with thin white head, some lacing. Aroma is hop resins, flavor is astringent hop bitterness with hardly any malt balance. Quick bitter finish. Not enough late addition hops or malt profile in this recipe, underwhelming IPA. ---Rated whilst imbibing
3.4 Bottle. Lighter visuals, bordering on yellow while a bit hazy. Decent floral aroma; light character overall, but a nice sessionably easy to drink, slightly puckering ale. (#5884, 12/13/2014)
5.0 This one is a perfect score for me. This has everything I could ever want in an IPA. So much citrus, pine, and tropical fruit. The taste is hoppy and bitter but not overly bitter. It’s so well balanced, and complex. Theres something I can’t figure out and it’s so good. This is a phenomenal IPA.
3.7 Can dated 10/20/14, gotten as a trade extra. Thanks! Pours mostly clear golden orange color with a one finger white creamy head. Nice citrus and pine aroma, light grassiness, mild sweetness, nice. Flavor is light citrus, some sweet pineapple, but of mango, mild bitter. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Nice beer.
3.6 Pours a light amber color with a light boozy head. Aromas of citrus, peach, apricot and light caramel. Flavors of citrus, slight grass, apricot, slight peach and a light caramel backbone. Medium sweet medium bitter. Only a slight dry finish.
3.3 Bottle. Hazy gold pour with a nice foamy head that fades to a nice film. Aroma is slightly dank. Juicy citrus and light caramel. Tastes smooth but could use some more hops really. Sweet pale malt and light caramel stick out the most with a hint of juicy citrus and flowers. Very little bitterness. Medium body. Decent IPA.
3.1 On tap at Scratch Bar June 2013. Not as hoppy as some ipa’s but that’s not a bad thing. Easy to drink IPA.
3.1 Can left over from my sad drive to St. Louis. Not much aroma, but what’s there smells nice enough and like it might be an IPA. amber, golden, clear, minimal head, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, kind of dank, sort of SD style. medium body, slick feel, soft carbonation, astringent. So it’s not bad. Maybe some of the dank SD stuff is there but it’s not balanced out by whatever it is Stone and Pizza Port do. But, in terms of my road trip beer, it was way better than AZ beer, TX beer, and OK beer.
3.9 Can, poured while starting to cook a late breakfast and waiting for the early Cubs game to start. F it, it’s a day off, i’m going to watch baseball and catch a buzz before noon. This is a nice one to look at. slightly dark straw body with a big ol fluffy ass white head. aroma hit me from the moment i cracked the can and got better as i poured it. light grass, bit of pine and something like a tangerine rind. Shit, apparently i have a busted lip cause that burned just a bit as i took a sip. much milder flavor than i anticipated. a true ipa, not some double in disguise, and i like that. malt is prevalent with an even bitterness throughout. light citrus that gets a bit more aggressive on the back end. full body that envelopes the tongue and just feels right. i know breakfast will turn out all right, now if my Cubs can just get a rare win for me, or at least play a decent game it is going to be alright.
2.8 Slight white head ultra clear with an almost Pilsner color (slightly more tan). Aroma of citra hops. Citrus overall. Overall decent ipa, Croat clean and, of course , hoppy.
3.7 12oz bottle. Sightly hazy orange-tan body. Foamy, off-white, glass-lacing head. This is really well done, sort of bringing in all the best attributes of East Coast and West Coast IPA. Dry citrus tinged hop tones..almost has that citra/NZ thing but not quite..more amarillo. Clean, straightforward malt body packs a little more of a punch than similar East Coast IPAs balance-wise. Quality, well executed IPA.
