Hoppy, crisp, and citrusy, with an underlying malt character. Made by blending lots of malted barley, wheat, and a judicious quantity of Cascade hops. A "big" beer!

3.1From the bottle. Pours a very hazy light copper color, some head which dissipates fairly quickly. There’s a distinct graininess in the aroma, a little sweet doughy-wheat like which is then followed up by the classic Cascade hop aroma. Some citrus, but mainly grapefruit and old orange peel. Flavor up-front is medium caramel with some biscuit flavors, malty munich notes come through, some are rich and caramel-like, others more savory. There’s also a bit of a pastry-like and also nutty note to the malt. Finishes clean, not completely dry, but enough for the bitterness to balance. As early as five years ago I would have probably given this beer a much higher score, however because of the onslaught of new hop-variety driven iipas, it does not fare as well. Still though, solid.
3.7On cask. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of light fruits, pale malts, jam. Flavor of grassy hops, citrus hops, pale malts. Light, fruity, hoppy, very tasty.

2.5Draft at the source. Clear golden yellow color. Aroma of citrus. Taste id similar. Plain.
3.4Draft at a Thai place in Seattle. Copper pour with small head. Floral aroma with a hint of citrus. Decent bite. Mediocre but not bad.
3.3On tap, cloudy dullish yellow color. Nice head and great lacing. Hop citrus, dry grass on the nose. Muddied but enjoyable attack with a nice finish. Good beer!
3.5Draft. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium complex citrus hop aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate smooth bittersweet citrus flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of average duration. This is a solid beer.
3.3On tap, pours a darker golden color with a thin white head that leaves light lacing. Smells of citrus, caramel, and dough. Tastes of the same things with a light hop presence in the finish. Mouthfeel was medium and chewy with pretty good carbonation. Overall not bad but too malty to be considered an ipa. It paired well the the food I had at The Wild Ginger in Seattle though.
3.4Bottle at wild Ginger.
Sweet nose, alcohol, hay.
Light amber clear color.
Full body, sweet, alcohol, hay , citrus.
Nice ipa.
:)
Bolton Brew.
3.3Draught. Gold like a very pale ale or a lager, thin white head. Full aroma, lots of citrus and evergreen in the aroma. Restrained hop flavour with a malt bone. Medium hop finish.
3.2On tap at Wild Ginger in Seattle. Pours a golden color with a minimal head. Sharp hop flavors and noticeable alcohol.
3.2Serving: from tap at Veraci Pizza.
Aroma: light citrus and pine hop aroma.
Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white, initial head with fully diminishing longevity and excellent lacing. Hazy, dark-yellow body.
Taste: moderately bitter and nutty initial taste and lightly sour, grapefruit finish with average duration.
Palate: medium bodied with watery texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: pretty good. Unique flavorl.
3.712 oz bottle. Pours copperish orange with thick lacey head that lingers considerably. Aroma is bright citrusy hop flavors and biscuit malts. Taste is sharp hops with strong notes of pine, citrus, and grass. Hops taste fresh even though this is an older bottle. Solid malt body with sweet biscuity flavor. Finishes bitter. At 7.5%, clearly not a DIPA, but a very nice rich standard IPA.
3.6pours a semi-clear orange-amber with a small off-white head, and very good lacing.
smell is of some citrus, a touch of caramel, hops, a little malt, and some floral.
taste is of grapefruit, pine, caramel, hops, some malt, and citrus. ends dry and nicely bitter.

Cloudy light amber color. Light aroma of caramel and sugar. Some caramel flavor, very light residual sweetness, light puke, correct hopping.
Not very Imperial, and without malt or hop fine qualities.
20912-07-29, draught at Lockspot Fish & Chips Bar, Seattle, as Maritime IPA (sic), 6-4-7-4-14=35
Hazy amber color. Mild aroma of toffee. Quite good malt and toffee flavor, lean mouthfeel, with good caramelly hopping, mild hop resins in the end.
Pleasant.
3.7Pours a clear golden orange color with a one finger white head that quickly settles into a thin ring. Streaks of lacing left behind.
Complex hop aroma with lots of tropical and citrus fruit notes countering the earthy, grassy character. Hints of grapefruit, pineapple and orange pell followed by earthy pine needle and biscuity malt.
Medium bodied with a nice balance of bitter, earthy hops and sweet fruit notes. Hints of grassy pine needle giving off dry bitterness that lingers throughout. This is countered by hints of citrus rind, grapefruit and pineapple. Some biscuity pale malt and sweet booze toward the finish. Well balanced and dangerously drinkable.
3.6Tap @ Taphouse Grill, Seatlle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich bitter hops, pine, grass, malt and has a long bitter finish.
3.2Tap @ Taphouse Grill, Seattle. Clear golden amber with a white head and lacing. Aroma of biscuit dough, herbal tea, citrus and alcohol. Flavor is doughy malts with a medium hop bitterness and alcohol warming. Medium body with a thin mouth feel. This is an alright beer, kind of boring though.
3.8Half pint at the brewery. Pours a cloudy light orange with a good head. The aroma is citrusy with notes of pineapples and grapefruit. Not incredibly aromatic for the style, but I can tell there are some hops going on. The flavor is far more robust. It’s resinous with pine, cough drops, lemon and a lingering, drying bitterness. The body is full, on the heavy side of things. It’s pretty good. It has the heaviness of an IIPA but not quite the hop onslaught, but remains enjoyable.
3.4Outside of the word Imperial on the bottle, not sure what makes this anything beyond a regular IPA from the PNW. The nose is notably disappointing as I expect a beautiful explosion of hop aromatics from DIPA, this shows hints of pine and little else. Pleasant, fresh mouthfeel and a dry finish, but nothing standing out as Imperial or Double.
3.0Poured into a tulip. Pours a cloudy gold color... no expiration date on the bottle so I’m not sure if this was a bit old. Aroma of hops and malt, maybe a little citrus. Taste was medium bitter, not too flavorful. Thin mouthfeel with a light bitter finish.
3.5Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. This beer pours a clear pale orange-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrusy hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of hops, grapefruit and sweet malt. The finish is hoppy with a short citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.
3.5From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and citrusy. Smooth fruity, grapefruity and pineneedle hoppy. Ends bitter and bone dry.
3.2355ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a finger of white head that leaves only specks of lace on the glass. A mild earthy hop aroma with traces of citrus. Taste is a light malty sweetness finishing with a blast of lingering earthy and citrus notes. Medium bodied with some decent carbonation. This is a decent quality beer, but something in it just didn’t sit right with me.
3.7Gold pour, white head. Dank, piney aroma, leafy. Biscuit and toast malt body, pine, resin, earth. Dry and not too sweet. Nice choice for a six pack.
3.9Bottle. Pours a solid dark yellowish golden color with ample foamy white head. Aroma is mostly hops oil, grapefruit, caramel and pine. The taste begins with a shot of resinous earthy hops, candied citrus and dried tropical fruit followed by a bit of brown sugar, toasted malt, alcohol and hops bitterness. The mouthfeel is full-bodied with adequate carbonation while the finish is more resiny hops and malt sweetness with a slight alcohol kick. Overall, a quality DIPA with lots of aggressive hops, sweet ctirus and caramel malt flavors to chew on.
3.5Tap @ Jolly Roger... Poured clear, golden orange with a white head. Vibrant hop flavors. Resinous with black pepper spice. Chalky, citrus, fruity finish.
3.6Pale yellow with creamy white head. Nose of orange, pineapple, and bubblegum. Nice carbonation, more bubblegum, and candy sweetness in taste. Balanced out by serious resinous hop presence. Something murky lurks in the background. Could be the glass or the tap lines...this place is pretty dingy. Pretty good. Better than the rating suggests. Glad I tried it.
3.4Clear and brightly golden with a nice and foamy head. Smooth, drinkable texture. Malty backbone (bready, nutty, toasty). Herbal, earthy, grassy and fruity (apples, pears). Mild-to-moderate bitterness. It doesn’t seem to have a ton of complexity, but it’s a solid beer.
3.212 oz. bottle from Bottleworks. Transparent copper-colored appearance. The head is slightly fluffy, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. This has a nice, fresh pine hop aroma. It’s quite pungent, but it just doesn’t reach that peak that so many other great Double IPAs have achieved. Damn, I should have caught this beer when it was more fresh. It has a nice citrus touch at the end, but it’s mainly malty. It has a nice resinous texture, but that doesn’t save it, taste-wise. Damn, I can imagine if I had this fresh it would be bursting with hoppy goodness. Now, not so much.
3.8Bottle from RiversideAK, Thanks Alex! Pours a clear deep gold with a creamy off white head that left some great lacing. Nose was full of citrus hops along with some biscuity malts. Almost creamy on the palate with a touch of hop bitterness in the finish.
