2.9 Bottle. Unpoured. Scent is bog standard IPA. Taste is consistent but happily fully hopped - early. Very nice bitter and citrus IPA. Very good.
3.6 Bottle from M and S. Appearance - golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - pine and grapefruit. Light cake note. Taste - mainly lemon and grapefruit. Lemon shandy note on the end. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - a well made beer. Very drinkable.
W aromacie trochę kwiatów, trochę trawy, karmelu i odrobina cytrusów. W smaku trawiaste, chmielowe, trochę herbatnikowe, subtelny cytrus w klimacie pomarańczy. W tle kapka pikantności. Goryczka średnia, lekka trawiastość na finiszu. Średnie do niskiego ciało. Dość wysokie nagazowanie. Spodziewałem się, że będzie słabe piwo, a tutaj pozytywne zaskoczenie ;) 🍻
2.9 Purchased from M&S store in Hong Kong. Beautiful and typical pale ale colour; golden body and a rich white top. With a toasted malt smell. Smooth taste. One problem is the taste of alcohol is not well covered.
1.9 500ml Flasche. Goldgelbes Bier, dünner Schaum. Fast kein Aroma. Im Geschmack kräuteriger Hopfen. Etwas Süsse. Zu flach.
3.4 Bottle at home, picked up from M&S. Bright golden / light orange coloured pour with a large rocky white head. Aroma is grassy hop, mineral, seaweed, faint citrus, some caramel notes. Flavour is composed of semi sweet base grains with hints of caramel, mineral, grassy hop, st austell yeast. Palate is semi sweet, moderate to high carbonation and a little mineral. OK.
3.2 F: thin, off-white, not long lasting. C: clear, gold. A: citrus, caramel, malt, grape-fruit, flower hops. T: malty, caramel, citrus, grape-fruit, flowery hoppy, hint of earthiness, medium body, good carbonated, 0,5l bottle, good bitterness on the palate, more than average commercial beer.
3.1 500ml bottle. Golden ale, white foam dissipates quickly. Pleasant enough spicy hoppiness, not enough malt for me. Better than average.
3.1 A light fresh Hop aroma, this has lots of sharp gooseberry notes , and a clean finish. While not an outstanding beer, it’s better than 99% of other supermarket beers.
3.3 Bottle - thin clear lemony orange with high carbonation - thick white head. Fruity, zesty aroma, ting on tongue and in mouth. Grapefruit tasting with sharp finish - ok beer, easily drinkable.
3.1 Slightly hazy patchy head taste reminds me of punk iPa only more subtle zingy clementine and pink grapefruit with a slightly sour finish.
3.6 Bottle BBE: 07/2016. Well-chilled. Pours a clear amber body with large, pillowy off-white head. Quite low intensity on the nose, but pleasant aromas of citrus and a little biscuity sweetness are clear. A little sweetness is backed up by a low-medium intensity bitterness on the tongue. Light bodied, with quite a watery texture, low-medium carbonation and a crisp finish. Very decent pale ale that’s incredibly sessionable for 5%. All very subtle.
3.5 Bottle from M&S in Berko, pours a clear light amber with a cream colored head. The smell is toasted malt, citrus, some caramel, citrus. The taste is bright citrus melding with toasted malt, caramel and fruit ending dry and somewhat bitter. Light++ is body with nice tight carbonation. A good old school balanced IPA.
3.3 50 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is crisp hoppy and mild fruity. Smooth and slight peachy. Bitter, fruity and crisp hoppy. Bitter and smooth citrusy to dry hoppy. Bitter and crisp hoppy finish.
3.1 Clear golden yellow pour with medium sized white head. Aroma of malts, grains and hops. Taste of malts, grains, hops, faint citrus and faint fruitiness. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated, well balanced. Not a bad beer but not memorable.
3.3 Pours a nice golden color. Nice, easy drinkable Pale Ale with a refreshing bitterness to it.
2.8 Beautiful golden with soapy white head. The citric hoppiness of an IPA comes ins later as it warms up. Nothing amazing.
3.3 Clear yellow, white lacing foam. Hoppy aroma, bitter taste. Indeed a refreshing beer, bitter in the English way. Lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201506)
3.4 Dorada, con bastante pequeño sedimento flotante. Un dedo de espuma poco densa. Aroma frutal. Uva.
3.6 A proper IPA, with the distinctive look and taste of the genre. Bottle from M&S Blackrock. Thoroughly enjoyed !
3.7 Bottle at home in London - picked up at the big M&S on Oxford St. Pours crystal clear gold, effervescent, with a frothy white head. Nice aroma, with good hop notes, some biscuity pale malts, hints of pine. Light-medium sweet flavor with subtle piney bitterness, pale bread, pine, orange rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Good balance on the finish, more citrusy hops, mellow rindy and piney bitterness. Just a little too grassy in the aftertaste. Quite solid overall, really.
3.5 Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, white head. Aroma of citrus hops, slightly floral, some faint saison yeasty, flowery and a hint of spices. Flavor is slightly bitter, subtle and clean. Nice and drinkable, but not entirely an IPA.
3.7 500ml bottle bought at Mark & Spencer in iSquare, Tsim Sha Tsui. Cloudy hazy dull amber honey colour with thin layer of yeast sediments; Two finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 3 minutes; Excellent good sticky lacing with active carbonation; Fragrant aroma of Ale malt, with fairly strong citrus, grapefruit, floral, strong molasses, honey, light pine, yeast, bread and strong grass; Close to light sweet taste of Ale malt, with metallic, strong grapefruit peels and flesh, molasses notes, pine, light resin, earth, very light biscuits, strong lemon, strong beer hops and strong grass; Medium body. Slick and slightly oozy palate; Mouth feel is very hoppy right off the bat, with strong but pleasant bitter hop taste closely followed by zesty grapefruit and lemon. Maltyless is fairly good despite a rather thick body. Okay sweetness, Light pine, good resin and earthy to the tongue. Very good!... Hoppiness is strong grapefruit zest, lemon, light pine, resin, light earth and strong grass in nose and taste. Bitterness is strong for a lasting high-astringent grassy finish; Quite dry after taste. Very bitter and citrusy to mouth. Comments: This can be easily classified as an IPA with such strong citrusy and resiny hop aroma and flavor. Doesn’t matter, as an English Blond, this is very bold with right on target mid-maltyness and nice deep gold colour, and American hoppy-grassy to the core. Very enjoyable!
3.4 Bottle from M&S. Pours golden with a white head. Quite a nice fruity aroma. There some nice tropical and citrus flavours going on with this one along with a touch of spice. Refreshing and good.
2.7 Bottle. Clear golden body with a thin white head that quickly fades. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of earth, grass and musty citrus. Flavour of flat lemonade, lime and straw. Thin body with an oily texture. Light fizz. Is this really bottle conditioned? It’s thin and poured as clear as a bell. All in all, it’s a fairly bland Golden Ale.
2.7 Bottle. Golden pour, small British head. Deint aroma of malt and some aroma hop. Taste is a bit hoppy, with notes of citra and apple. Bit thin and watery.
3.4 Bottle from M&S, Birmingham New Street. Golden beer with small head. Aroma is tropical fruit, malts and a touch of tangerine. Taste is a little floral hop, mild tropical fruits and a hint if pine resin. Understated. Decent.
3.3 500 mL bottle into a pint glass. Lightly cloudy golden, gassy. Pleasant light floral aroma. Dry, with golden syrup notes, tastes. Gets a bit plain towards the end of the glass.
