Mary Rose Premium Red Ale

Mary Rose Premium Red Ale

Mary Rose is a beer based on an English recipe, inspired by the legendary ship of the British royal fleet created by Henry VIII.
It is remarkable that in this particular ship the quantities of beer consumed were huge. Only beer would do, English soldiers and sailors were not used to anything else. In fact without beer, they would refuse to work!
Mary Rose is a refreshing red ale beer with a unique aroma and high quality ingredients.

3.1 Bottle of Septem Thursday's Premium Red Ale. Amber, almost clear color, slightly yellowish foam. Aroma: caramel, light and caramel malt, citrus and nectar. Taste: caramel, citrus, slightly grapefruit, light fruits, noticeable hop bitterness, soft.
3.5 I had this while on vacation on the Greek isles. Of all the couple dozen Greek beers I tried, Septem. of which I tried several, made the best beers by far. Small bottle pours clear amber with thick light tan soap-bubble head and lacing. Aroma: nuts, brown sugar. Flavor: the above with raisins. Mouthfeel: light- to medium-bodied.
3.0 Rødgylden i glasset. Humle og krydderier i næsen. Let, sød og halvbitter. Humlen bliver erstattet med en lidt skæv smag. Ok.
1.8 Had one in Sliema, Malta. I think it was from a February batch and was past it's drinkable date. Notes of roast malt mixed with dishwater. Couldn't get past half the beer and left the rest there.

3.0 Flaske fra lokal sjappe i Kanari, Santorini, på hotellbalkongen: klar, rødlig kobber med fint skum som varer. Aroma og smak av røde bær og milde citrusfrukter i en slank maltkropp. Mild, bæraktig bitterhet i ettersmaken. Lettdrikkelig i ettermiddagssolen. Etiketten sier Septem Thurs day’s Premium Red Ale Beer.
2.9 Piwo miedziane, klarowne. Piana dość szybko opada. W aromacie dominuje i wszystko przykrywa karmel. Średnia pełnia. Wysycenie niskie.
3.1 Amber Redish Colour and subtle malt aroma and hop bitterness. Nothing special but a nice easy drinking red ale.

3.1 Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - Amber pour with white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste, with some caramel and syrup notes, quiet overt sweet into the finish.

3.5 Bottle 33cl. served in a Septem stemmed glass @ Beertime, Athens. Clear medium amber, small frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing; aroma malts, fruit syrup, caramel; bit flat taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, grainy, light fruity; dry bittersweet aftertaste, fruity notes; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; aftertaste misses some zest otherwise quite nice. Rated 29/9/16.
3.2 Clear and dark brass colour. Thin, off-white head. Aroma is malt and some whiskey. Taste is a lot of malt with a sweet, brown sugar finish.
3.5 (33cl bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a medium cream head. Aroma of caramel, cherry, grain, florals, and grass. Flavor of dried cherries, raisins, figs, grass, toffee, and caramel with a dry finish.
3.5 Bottle on Lesbos as Septem Thursday’s Premium Red Ale. A hoppy Irish, nice! Otherwise pleasant malts, caramel, with a healthy bitterness, quite refreshing without needing to be super-dry. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Nice.
3.4 Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed medium reddish-orange color with a huge head of an off white color. The head has a fantastic level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave big streaks of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is heavy of a caramel and molasses smell mixed with some other smells of a yeasty and bready smell. Along with these aromas comes some lighter notes of a sour lemon and a bit of a pine smell. Taste – The taste begins with a drier roasted bready taste with a lighter amount of a sour, almost funky, taste upfront. The funk seems to get stronger while the little bit of caramel and molasses that are present upfront fade more and more. Bits of grass and pine as well as a decent showing of lemon come more toward the end, leaving one with a somewhat sour red ale flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is average. For the lighter abv and slightly more sour tastes of the beer the lighter body is great, but that said a little bit of a carbonation level would have likely helped to make for an easier drinking and more refreshing brew overall. Overall – Not a bad brew as it has some nice drier slightly toasted bready tastes mixed with some more sour and lightly hopped taste. One to maybe try once to get a taste, but it is not the best out there in my opinion.
3.5 als septem thursday tijdens vakantie op Kreta. Amber tot rood kleurig met een creme kraag. Geur en smaak caramel en tarwebrood met citrus hop smaak in de afdronk. Body is redelijk.
1.5 As Septem Thursday’s. 33 cl bottle. Pours copperish ruby with tan foamy head. Aroma is bitter herbs, such as dandelion leaf or rucola, along with red berries, soil and a hint of cocoa. High carb, watery, light. Harsh bitter finish.
3.8 33cl bottle, served in Shaker. The label says "Thursday’s Premium Red Ale". Pours ruby red with medium off-white head. Aroma is earth, caramel and hints of herbs. Taste is the same with and interesting touch of ripe fruits. Dry finish, the sweetness is there also but nothing significant. Some people probably would expect more sweetness in a beer like this, but I prefer it way it is. Medium mouthfeel, very efervescent. Quite nice overall, good job.
3.1 botttle: pours a red amber with off white head...some floral aroma but mostly malt forward breadiness, some dried fruit.......light/medium body, caramel flavor, light bitter finish...lively carbonation....pleasant red with influence of other styles
3.1 it pours a crystal clear red amber body with a one finger off white head.the aromas are fruity and a little caramel.the body is medium-light.the taste is fairly bitter but leaves room for the sweetness of the malt to be shown. It has a fruity and bubbly sensation at first.A little more carbonated than it should be.it leaves a bitter taste at first which is followed by a somehow fruity sweetness.
3.5 Pours two fingers of head on a hazy dark straw body. The aroma is a rich caramel and grains. The taste caramel sweet balanced with a lemon bitterness. The texture is medium and fizzy. Enjoyable.
