Maximus High Hops

Maximus High Hops

4.0 Bottle at home, cloudy golden color, good white head. Nice biterness in the taste. A good IPA.
3.6 Bottle from an Albert Heijn in Ghent. Pours clear golden/orange with a frothy, white head. Great smell. The aroma contains (flowery) hops, grass, hay, grapefruit, yeast, orange and spices. It tastes light sweet and medium to heavy bitter, accelerating into the long, spicy, very dry finish, yet staying refreshing. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Really drinkable; on par with Jopen Mooie Nel IPA I had some time ago.
3.6 Oranjegeel, wazig, witte foamy schuimkraag, redelijk veel koolzuur. Aroma: Zoete mouten, karamel, tropisch, mango, ananas, citrus. Smaak: Vrij zoet in begin, moutig, karamel. Daarna een redelijke bitter, grassig, pijnboom/harsig, floraal. Bitter grapefruit, citrus, citrus/sinaasappelschil. Afdronk is grassig bitter.
3.8 F: huge, egg-white, average retention C: deep gold, hazy. A: tangerine, passion fruits, mango, pineapple, bit of pine. T: light malty backbone, tangerine fresh fruits, tropical fruits, mango, light earthy, bit of pine resin, medium body, medium carbonation, very good, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Albert Heijn Duinenwater supermarket in Knokke.
2.6 Sweet, malty, caramel, tropical fruit, zesty. Hoppy bitterness, full bodied. It’s like a combination between a Belgian blond and a IPA. Interesting, but not my thing (too much heavy sweetness).
3.8 6.0% Nancy bought in Hoofddorp. Bottle - Mango and tropical notes. Lear gold with a decent white head. Bright bitterness up front with just a hint of the tropical notes.
3.2 Fles.

3.1 330 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a dense off-white head. Quite mild in aroma, malt with hint of fruit. Quite malty flavor with moderate fruit and bitterness. Medium body and malty aftertaste. Might be a bit old for an IPA.
3.0 Botella 33cl. Aroma terroso y fruta madura. Cremosa. Lástima que luego dure poco...
3.5 The beer looks like a proper IPA. The color of the brew is a nice amber. The beer is a bit cloudy. On top a rich layer of rough, slightly orangy foam is formed. Retention is good, a nice thick drape remains on top of the beer. The smell is good. It is not as citrusy as most IPA’s. There is a nice maltiness, enhancing the hops. The hops have some nice rather sweet and fresh fruit aroma’s, not that citrusy, more stone fruit, maybe some spruce. It is nice. There is also a nice bitter component of the hops. Good one. It is not that extremely strong though. It could have been a bit stronger. The taste is pretty much the same. Nice bitter but fresh and fruity hops and an enhancing malt base. There is a tiny astringent bitterness though, which seems a tiny bit of. This doesn’t really contribute to the taste. It interferes with the balance a bit. Could have been better. The palate isn’t bad, but not really special. Medium light body and carbonation, rather thin texture. The finish isn’t that long and has a dryish bitterness. All in all, a good beer, but defiantly not the best one around.
3.6 Bottle. Color: Clear orange, big frothy off white head. Taste: Hoppy, citrus notes. Grassy and dry. Medium to light body, low carbonation.

Klasse. Kleine Flasche von BREWCOMER KIEL. Ca. 3€.
3.9 33cl bottle, poured into a snifter on 29-Jul-2016. Clear orange amber colour with a thick off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pine and caramel malt. Medium body and carbonation. Flavour of grapefruit, tropical fruit (mango, passionfruit), caramel, and biscuit. Heavily hopped and quite bitter. Bittersweet finish. Lovely lacing down the glass. This really is an excellent IPA.
3.7 Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Clear, golden amber with an off-white head. Sweetish, fruity and resiny aroma of mango, peach, orange and a touch of pine. Sweetish, fruity and slightly resiny taste of mango, peach, orange and pine, followed by a short, moderately bitter, resiny and a little dry finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really nice!
3.2 Bottle - Slightly hazy orange colour. medium, durable white head. Decent hoppy nose with some orange peel, flowery and herbal notes. Taste is malty with some honey, caramel, fruity hops, some grapefruit. Medium body, average carbonation, slick texture, dry hoppy finish. Not bad, but its not above average.

3.2 Oranje en nevelig bier. Aroma van citrus, honing, mout en hop. Bitter.
3.8 Pours a hazy sunny orangey color, topped with a medium sized creamy white head. Nicely lasting. Stone fruit hoppy aroma, nice and mild. Mildly fruity start, gently sweet. Very nice hoppy bitterness in the finish, lasting into medium long aftertaste .Dry , medium light and crisp.
