Meantime London Pale Ale

Meantime London Pale Ale

Bottle and keg - force carbonated. Is available cask conditioned. Cold fermented and lagered.

Ingredients: Pale ale malt, pale crystal malt, and Munich malt: Cascade, Cluster, and Goldings hops.

One hundred and fifty years ago the new bitter beer style, Pale Ale, was so popular that brewers had to import Californian hops to meet demand. Meantime London Pale Ale continues that tradition by combining lots of American Cascade and Centennial hops to give it a complex citrus aroma and buckets full of local Kentish Goldings to provide the bitterness that makes the style so refreshing. Together they conspire to assail the nose with a complex, heady mix of spearmint, grass and ‘hop sack’ aromas, fruity citrus flavours and a bitter finish that makes pale ale drinking a truly rewarding experience.

3.0 Can. Nice hoppy aroma, fruity. Light bitter taste, green hops, unfortunately that cardboardy low-alcohol flavor that many sessionable beers display is apparent. Should it be this apparent at 4.3% though? No, I‘ve had beers with 1% alcohol that had less of that cardboard taste.
2.4 Aroma : Lightly toasted caramel malt, merest touch of citrus and strawy/grassy hoppiness. Taste : Mildly bitter throughout but with no real citrus taste apparent. Hoppy and malty, light & refreshing. Not horrible; just a standard uninteresting pale ale (bottle L'Atelier Du Vin Wine Bar Brighton)
3.2 Clear copper appearance. Aroma is malt, caramel and metallic. Flavour is hops, malt, metallic and caramel.
3.3 33cl can from Géant Casino hypermarket in Bazeilles in France. F: huge, white, average retention. C: deep gold, clear. A: orange, caramel, bit floral, hoppy, biscuits touch, spicy. T: medium malty base, light caramel, orange, citrus, pine resin touch, nice balanced long lasting bitterness, quite refreshing, enjoyed.
3.2 Bottiglia.
4.8 Pint at King’s Head, Teddington. Deep amber on pour. Decent carbonation, but small, frothy head. Not much in the way of smell, but full, rounded and balanced cereal flavours
3.5 0.33 l can from K-Citymarket Ruoholahti, Helsinki. Golden, clear, big head. Nice hopping, not just the taste of citrus.
3.3 bottle @ spar (budapest) golden colour, normal body, average carbonated, normal head, bittersweet, citrus, fruity, hoppy, fresh, easy to drink
2.4 Golden color, fast collapsing, medium white head. Sweet fruity, citrusy, malty aroma. Taste is malts, not bad, some pleasant, light bitterness at the end. Good balance. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Not bad, but I wont buy it again.
2.7 Clear, golden color, small, but long-lasting, creamy, white head. Intense lemon, orange, mandarin aroma. Bitter, tea-like taste, but the flavour is quite empty and watery, like some boiled hop water.
3.3 330 ml bottle. Pours clear golden with small white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, malt and light tropical notes. Taste is light citrus, with mild hops.
3.1 0,33l can. Pours clear golden with small white head. Some citrus, resinous notes. Medium bitter finish. Quite average, but not bad.
3.1 Amber coloured, quite large head, medium body, hoppy, woody, fruity and malty
3.1 Out of date 15/05/19. Using up my fridge spares. Taste is very light citrus. Light hoppiness. Finish is very malty with the old school bitterness of EKG shining through. Decent beer, but not a gold medal effort.
3.4 Tap at Sterling Bar at the Gherkin, London, 4th September 19. Pours a light straw colour and clear, aroma is citrus and malt. Taste is clean and bitter, some citrus. Quite a simple and bitter APA, not bad.
3.5 Tap at Les Fleurs du Malt, Lyon, France. Pours brilliant amber with limited white foam. Aroma is piney, hoppy, white pulp fruits. Body is average, like carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet, with medium bitterness. Finish is average.
2.5 Hoppy-malty aroma, yeasty-like bitterness, with a neutral aftertaste. Average, drinkable beer, with a good appearance.
2.9 Am Flughafen in London-City. Leicht trübes Orange, einige Kohelnsäure, dünner, fester Schaum. Aroma: Hopfe, leicht fruchtig (Eher säuerlich, Pfirsich), etwas Malz. Geschmack: Bitter, Hopfen (Zitrus, Grapefruit), etwas seifig, würzige Note.
3.3 Rien de spécial
3.2 Freebie from deliveroo, tastes shit
3.1 Ok, nice chilled decent drink (jazz loft)
Buen aroma, textura excelente. La recomiendo
2.5 Light and tasteless, easy drinking, bitter aftertaste.
3.7 Good PA, nice subtle bitterness.
3.3 0.33l bottle from a supermarket. Orange/light ruby body, Off-white thick head, not very persistent. Aroma is typical American hops, resin mostly. Not much fruits initially, later grapes and perhaps peach comes forward. Taste is fruity, a bit spicy and of course biter. Not much malt. Some honey provides minimal sweetness. Hint of refreshing sourness. Strong dry bitter aftertaste. fairly strong carbonation, yet the palate is watery. Well done, but the strong dry bitter aftertaste prevents it from becoming truly refreshing. So it is yet another APA, nice but not for regular consumption.
3.0 330 ml bottle. Clear dark golden colour, small head with average durability, partly lacing, soft carbonation. Nose is sweetish malty with fruity notes from peaches. Flavour is medium sweet and bitter, bread, solid hoppy bitterness comes with the aftertaste. Average pale ale.
