Meantime Yakima Red

Meantime Yakima Red

Bottle and keg: Filtered

First appeared as a draught special in March/April 2011.

This is not the same beer as the Marks & Spencer Greenwich Red Ale. They are similar recipes, but are not the same. They use completely different hops and malts.

Brewed with 5 hop varieties from the Yakima Valley, Washington State.

3.7 Lane. Ciemnomiedziane, klarowne. Piana jasna, drobnopęcherzykowa, trwała. W aromacie chmielowo (żywica, cytrusy), trochę ciasteczek, masła i karmelu.
4.0 On draught at the Haweswater Hotel in the Lakes - really enjoyed it, happy memories celebrating my dad's 70th birthday!
3.4 Draft at Streeat Food Truck, in Rimini, Italy. Pours brilliant red, with a very fluffy head of cream foam, medium grain. Aroma is hoppy citrus, blood orange. Body is average, with good carbonation. Taste is fairly bitter. Finish is rather persistent with bitterness.
4.1 Has a fragrance of orange and fresh fruits, leaves a bittersweet taste and solid orange taste. The foam is slim and stays for a little time.
3.1 Slightly confusing beer. Looks dark, tastes light. I’m not quite sure what type of beer this is actually meant to be. Nice enough.
2.9 bottle @ supermarket (budapest) amber colour, normal body, average carbonated, amber head, floral, hoppy, malty, caramel, not so dry, easy to drink
3.8 clear amber colour, medium sized creamy beige-ish head; aroma and taste of raisins, grape peel, citruses, some caramel, fruity notes and nuts; good one
3.0 It pours a dark ruby color and has a high carbonation with a citrus hop aroma and a bitter taste.
Semplice, beverina.
3.8 330ml can at home. Pours dark amber / ruby with a one finger dissipating head. Sweet on the nose, malts, caramel, nuts, red berries. More berries on the taste, caramel malts, light earthy hops. Very pleasant sweetness on the front end followed by a mild lasting bitterness. Very drinkable, gets better with each sip. Excellent overall, i am surprised by how much i like it!
2.9 Bottle at Budapest. Clear bronze with beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, some citrusy hops and toffee. The flavor is mild sweet and bitter with notes of caramel, toffee, citrusy hops, a bit "green", some lemon. Light to medium-bodied.
3.7 0.33l bottle. Clear amber/ruby body with a thin white head. Raisins and caramel shows up in the aroma with a subtle pine and grapefruit character. Taste of caramel, nuts, raisins, citruses, pine and grapeseed. Light bodied (not watery) with a lively carbonation. Tasty, refreshing brew.
3.7 0.33 bottle. Szép vörösesbarna, kristálytiszta szín. Komlós , gyümölcsös illat , tetszetős krémes átlagos hab. Malátás íz, jó szensavasság, a keserűség is megfelelő. Vörös sör, de apa-ra emlékeztető fonom komlózással. Dreher forgalmazza nálunk, féltem tőle de kellemes csalódás. Egy igazi "vörös apa". :) *** Nice reddish brown, crystal clear color. Hopy, fruity scent, nice creamy average foam. Malt taste, good soda acidity, bitterness is also adequate. Red beer, but with a fine hop hop reminiscent of APA. Dreher sells to us, I was afraid of him but a pleasant disappointment. A real "red dad." :)
3.3 Ruby red pour with thin head. Nice hoppy tones with caramel, but also a bit watery
2.8 Draft. Ambrata chiara limpida con schiuma molto pannosa e persistente. Malto e frutti gialli.
3.1 Can? September 2017. Pale and eponymous with a narrow pink-beige collar. Peppery rye spice and gelatinous peachy hop with roasted nut and orange jelly suggestions. Aroma of throat sweet honey and lemon; peach, orange. Saline impressions. Pleasant if a bit peachy.
3.3 33 cl bottle bought from restaurant. Pours clear amber color with medium white head. Aroma of fruits, red tea, caramel, malt. Taste of malt, hops, dark fruits, traditional taste for a red beer. Light body, medium carbonation, malty & dry finish. Quite a good beer.
2.7 I dont feel like writing a comprehensive rating so here are my notes of the tasting: Clear copper, thin head. Slight metallic notes, some bready grains and moderate bitterness with no pronounced hops. Light body, av. carbo, goes down easy.
3.0 Bought from Lidl in Romania. Small head, fruity smell, light finish, medium bitterness and carbonation
3.5 amber/red with thin foamy head. red fruity smell. sweet caramel red berry notes. nice
3.1 Bottle Pours reddish and headless. Tastes caramel, dry, really dry. Malty. Okay
3.4 Appearance- ruby/brown, a very small off-white head. Aroma- malt, rye hints, dark fruit undertones, some vanilla and sugary notes, toffee. Taste- hop bitterness, dark fruit, malty, fluffy bready malt, smooth finish.
3.5 Reddish amber colour, off white head and malty aroma. Malt dominates the taste initially, but there is a dry hoppy finish with a hint of pepper.
3.4 Can. Amber coloured beer with a strong head. The aroma is gently roasted with mellow maltiness. The flavour is mildly rich with reasonable roastedness and bitterness. Overall a nice amber ale.
3.6 BOTTLE 33 CL. Clear deep amber-red, beige head. Huge caramel, sugars going slightly burnt and jammy fruit aroma, some hops. The taste has those sugars too, but not as sweet as the aroma. Light herbal and earthy hops. Light body, easy-drinking. Big aroma, regular traditional taste. No surprises, well done.
3.5 Fles 33cl thuis. (4-2015).
