MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, pretty malty, caramel, soft bitterness, bit herbal. Aftertaste: bitter, grains, malty, sweet touch.
3.5Bouteille 50cl @ Tderoeck's pre New Year diner. Thanks Tim.
Ambre, col beige.
2.5Bottled on November 13, 2017. As a blind tasting. I think it was purchased at Landbierparadies, online shop.
Clear amber to copper color, yellow like head. Grainy, sweet, wort like, caramel, some sewage scent, lacks hop character and I get some butterscotch / diacetyl notes as well. Sweet, kvalmig/stuffy, wort like, caramel, butterscotch taste. Medium mouthfeel with smooth CO2. Medium low to low bitterness.

3.3Bottle from Landbierparadies. Clear red/amber/brown colour, creamy beige foam. Nose of honey, caramel, very bready, some grassy notes. Easy drinkable. Ok Dunkles.
4.1Bottle. Amber color with eggshell head. Aroma is malty, caramel, earthy, cereals, chocolate. Taste is butterer caramel, chocolate, earthy. Natural carbonation, silky mouthfeel. Good, albeit quite sweet. 7-4-7-4-14
Tap. Very good, very tasty, very rustic. 7-4-7-4-15.
Tap at Hopdog. This one really hits the balance of rusticness and smoothness. Glorious! 8-4-8-4-17
3.6A: Bronze, thick looking, small head, left some lacing. S: Hay and caramel, slight floral hops. T: A blend of biscuits and malt gave way to a lingering fruity bitter finish, also had notes of caramel. M: Crisp texture despite not being overly carbonated. O: A very nice beer which defies labels.
3.6Bottle. Pours nearly clear robust amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, yeast and caramel, with notes of butter and touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with estery notes and bitter, roasty and hoppy touches. Bitter, roasty and hoppy aftertaste with notes of yeast. A pleasant Dunkel.
3.406/2017
Pours amber from the bottle and leaves a frothy white head. Aroma is caramel, with strong grainy notes. Taste is lightly sweet, with a faint ashy bitterness near the end. A touch watery in places. Overall, not bad, but far from one of my top Dunkels. 2.9

Much the same but with a herbal twist at the end. Pleasant, soft caramel throughout. Could use some chewiness. 3.2

A beer that seems to have grown in my appreciation over the years. The body seems a little more chewy than I described. Decent. 3.4
3.2Es is ein dunkles Bier mit sehr schöner Blume. Der Geschmack ist anfangs schön malzig, leicht süss. Danach kommt eine feine Bittere mit leichten Raucharomen. Es ist ein sehr süffiges Bier.
3.1Bottle from trade with Gabriel, shared at Dan’s. Pours clear amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, grain, butter, light veg and sweetcorn. Medium to heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation.
3.20,5l Flasche. Klare Bernsteinfarbe, fester Schaum. Top Optik. Ich rieche Malz, Karamel und Haselnüsse. Antrunk Röstmalz. Sanfte Bitternoten. Verbrannter Karamel. Der Alkohol ist etwas unrund. Passt schon als klassisches Altfränkisch.

3.1500ml bottle. Clear, dark amber colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Slightly floral hoppy, minimally strawy, grainy, toasty, malty aroma, hints of chocolate cookies. Taste is slightly grassy and minimally floral hoppy, minimally toasty malty background with a nuttily touch, hints of chocolate cookies.
3.4Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piwo moim zdaniem z pogranicza wiedenskiego lagera i dunkela.
3.1Bottle from Getränkefeinkost - Pours clear mahagoni color, which is a bit surprising as the style is nowhere noted on the bottle. Nice head. Taste is strong caramell, toffee, tobacco. Well balanced but just too sweet for me to really enjoy. Fine carbonation, finishes medium dry.
