Mexican Ale

"It is a deep coppery-red in colour and is very aromatic with intensely floral hops and a lightly sweet and malty flavour. This full-bodied ale offers a very pleasant high bitterness, with smooth sweet malt character, creamy head with good carbonation, and with an excellent bittersweet finish."

3.4 Piwo ciemnomiedziane wręcz brązowe, klarowne. Całkiem trwała piana, drobnopęcherzykowa, ładnie lepi szkło. W aromacie karmel, chleb. W smaku słodkie, z fajną goryczkową kontrą, znów tu na pierwzym planie pieczywo dalej karmel. Pełne. Wysycenie niskie. Pierwsza przygoda z Meksykiem, jak na nie mój styl... całkiem udana.
2.5 Leicht trübes Bernstein mit wenig Schaum. Malzig, etwas Karamell, süßlich, leicht würzig.
2.7 Bottle whilst in the US. Pours a golden caramel colour with an off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and floral hops. Medium sweet, light bitterness. Light body, quite soft carbonation.
2.9 Bottled. Brown color with a careamel tone and a tan head that last for longer. Aroma is sweet, notes of toffee and brown sugar, very light toasted notes. Flavor is sweet and little bitternes from toasted. Medium carbonation and body with a slick texture and a sweet finish.
2.0 Bottle @ DØE. Pours light amber with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, grain, corn, light burnt, light sweet fruit. Flavor is sweet, malt, corn, little fruit. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish. 181115
1.5 330ml bottle (One Pint Pub). Clear dark amber color. Small size, beige head, stays. Biscuits, sweet, peanut butter and copper in aroma. Metallic, malty, sweet, hop extract in taste. Metallic, sweet and mashy shit in aftertaste. Copper gets stronger when it warms up. No. Bad. No!
1.9 330ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki) Sticky sweet malty aroma. Sickly palate. So freaking sweet. Sickly and nasty - I actually gagged once or twice. Some metal, some smoke, some mess, in the finish. Probably an overrate.
2.7 Aroma of fruits (a bit elderflower), and toasty. Clear ruby liquid. White short lasting head. Medium-high sweetness, light bitterness. Average carbonation.
2.3 Roughly foamy beer with lovely aroma of hops and caramel. It has long fine caramel malt flavor, while the hoppy bitterness, however, leaves a watery taste. From Mexico, I had not expected anything so tastefully and it is roughly in competition with European red ales. Refreshing and thirst-quenching.
2.6 Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, fruity notes, hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a light to moderate bitter finish. Drinkable, but not very memorable. Too much malty sweetness.
2.3 Bottle. Clear, amber, frothy, tan foam, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, & long finish.
3.1 330ml screw-top bottle, thanks to jeevan. From lupe pintos. Pours clear red brown, thin white head. Aromas of toffee, fudge. Light hop bitter, loads of sugary toffee though. Better than expected.
3.1 Bottle from Booths, Media City. Copper with a small head. Has some pale malts in its aroma but it slightly less stated in this respect in taste. However, it’s still quite tasty.
3.4 330ml bottle at home, courtesy of Stuartyboy - clear chestnut brown, good off-white head, sweet malty and fruity aroma, no lacing, toffee and caramel, sweet and oily
3.5 Bottle shared with Mr_H from Robbie Drams Ayr a deep amber beer with soft toffee camel aroma taste follows this pattern quite sweet smooth drinking
3.0 330 ml bottle. Pours hazy brown yellow with white head. Smell is sweet malty and fruity. Taste is malt, fruit, corn and yeast. Semi sweet with low bitterness and low carbonation.
2.9 Amber body and small grey head. Simple clean appeal, lightly spiced, red malts, cereal, some marmelade. Clean taste, very watery, not very good. It’s certainly drinkable but not very craft. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)
2.7 Bottle from Dilo in Bochum. The beer has got a clear amber colour with an low head and medium body. Aroma of copper and malt, followed by a taste of mild hops, malt, vanilla, nuts, caramel and bread. Drinkable and not that bad.
1.6 Bottle at El Publico. I honestly fail to see what the difference is between this and carlton draught. Both have a distinct shitty malt with that cloying metallic bitterness to finish. Definitely not good But then it does go with Mexican on a hot day
2.5 Bottle 33cl from Mondial de la bière. A clear amber beer with medium head. Nose is toasted caramel and cassonade. Aroma is on toasted caramel, strange paper / rubber notes, peppery hops, some bitterness, little pine notes, burnt caramel, this beer a bit messy.
3.2 Bottle at home. Pours copper brown, sweet and malty, lightly bitter, not too bad.
2.8 Bottle 330ml. A brown reddish beer with a big creamy head. Aroma is faint and I couldn’t distinguish it. Taste is bitter, especially at the end. A good beer overall and not very expensive.
2.4 Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, fruchtig. Geschmack malzig, leicht fruchtig, Karamell.
3.2 Bottle @ Head of Steam, Huddersfield. Wasn’t expecting to find Mexican beer at Huddersfield train station, so naturally I had to try it. Presents some fruity hops with a malty flapjack bitterness.. not bad really. And made me want to buy a flapjack.
2.9 Bottle from Booth’s in Ripon. Quite a dark amber colour with a fading white head. The taste is mostly malty with a hint of caramel sweetness. A slightly bitter finish. Pretty average, but drinkable enough.
2.9 Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear amber with minimal head. Aroma of caramel malt and a very light hint of hops. Taste is lightly bitter with caramel and honey. Medium bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long, bitter finish. Overall, not bad. Better than i though it would be.
2.1 Bottle shared by jmagnus87...thanks Josh! Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Nose is honey sweet, lots of malt--really just tons of honey. Taste is sweet honey and malt, bready with a bit of graininess. Slick and thinnish.
2.3 12oz bottle shared at local tasting, can’t remember who brought this, but thanks. Pours a clear amber with a thin head, the aroma and flavor was pretty much the same, nothing, a little sweet in the finish, ugh.
1.8 Sweet agave non beer sweetness aroma. Really bad, maybe poisoned for the American beer. Brutal, way too sugary and sweet. Ouch.
