2.0 Originally rated on 1/28/10. Aroma of grass, malt and and some hops. A golden yellow body, not much carbonation, head or lace. Standard lager taste, overall not much going on at all.
1.9 Backlog. Multiple times back in the US. Not much to say really. Not overly sweet at least and refreshing. That’s about all I guess.
2.5 Pours a clear lager yellow wit a white head that leaves very little lacing and a thin ring. Nose is faint malt and noble hops. Body is medium. Taste is clean malt with a hint of sweetness and a bitter aftertaste. 12 oz can Canned 3/29/16 at the Cleveland, OH brewery
4.0 This was always my favorite American style lager. Enough body to keep it from being watery but also goes down super smooth like this style is trying for. For the style about as good as it gets. Don’t know why anyone would drink Coors or Budweiser over this.
2.4 Michelob is basically Budweiser without the rice and perhaps most of the beechwood aging.. It might not be an all malt, but it appears rather close, but it is balanced unoffending brew that has some hops but.., albeit boring brew. The thing about Michelob (and it’s light version) is that it is strangely hard to find now. It’s like Anheuser Busch doesn’t want it to "compete" with Budweiser, Bud Light of Michelob Ultra sales(?). Why is this?
2.4 Bottle poured to pint glass very cold beer Appearance: Light yellow head, a lot of lacing Aroma: scent smell of malt, nothing else Taste: not really great Mouth feel: very carbonated Overall: good beer for the hot weather, specially camping outdoors, nothing special One of the cheapest beers in the grocery aisle just got it to taste it, i promise not to do it again
1.4 Golden with a dense white head. Aromas of bready cereals, malts and some corn develops. Rather fizzy with a watery texture and a light body. rather malty sweet with then nothing else developing really, just a malty finish.
1.5 Just as watery as you could expect from an American mass produced lager. The bottle is more exciting than the contents.
2.1 Twelve ounce bottle from The Party Source, tasted on November 26, 2015. Gold hue, cheap adjunct aroma, taste is a bitter trip to Adjunct City with a hint of cardboard. I remember the pre-craft days when this was considered a really premium beer and an expensive one at $2.00 a six pack. Either my palate has improved, this stuff has declined in quality, or, most likely, both. It’s still better than its AB InBev cousin Budweiser, but so what?
1.8 Aus der Flasche. Hellgelbes Bier mit weissem festem Schaum. Etwas Malz in der Nase. Wenig Geschmack. Etwas suerlich und metallisch.
1.4 Bud with a tinge more malt. Clear yellow real clear but weird light yellow. Why it gets decent appearance rating. Very carbonated like some water. No aroma no flavor.
1.0 It is what it is. Really nothing special, but actually one of the better american pilsner lagers. Only good after working your butt off in the blazing summer heat.
2.0 330ml bottle found in La Paz, Bolivia, labelled Michelob Lager with 4.8% alcohol. Okay white head but not much density, yellow body. Soft aroma of hops dispersed by carbonation. Flavour is murky rice adjuncts with just a hint of hops. Just about what you’d expect from an American macro.
0.8 Wet grain and very light if any herbal hop character. Flavor of wet grain and straw. However even at that very little at best. Just a little better than bud.
2.1 one of my goto beers back before i new good beer...now i have realized i spent alot of money on crap beer...well ya learn i guess..drank this just to honor good times of the past...(#469)
2.5 Pretty good for a American industrial brew. Nice aroma and appearance. Tastes quite fresh.
2.3 12 0z bottle. Pours pale yellow with a medium white head. Little to no aroma, just a hint of light malts/grains. Little taste, most slightly sweet cereal grain/light malt flavor. I think that it is better than Yuengling Lager.
2.9 Not a bad brew by any means, although the corn is all too evident to call it premium, let alone super-premium. Some maltiness. Pleasant on the palate and the eye.
1.4 "i actually like the Ultra version better, so what does that say about the qualities of this beer, when the dumbed down version is preferred??? nothing good..."
3.2 A clear golden yellow color with a light head. Has a mild flavor (it is a Anheuser -Busch product) that is not bad, a refreshing summer beer. Poured from a 12OZ bottle into a pint glass, slightly hoppy little aftertaste.
2.9 Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a light golden amber color with a two finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades very fast, leaving a good level of bubbly lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer consists mainly of a slightly grainy and grassy smell with a little bit of a skunky aroma mixed within. Some other light aromas of a lemon citrus and a little bit of caramel are there as well. Taste – The taste begins with a sweet caramel and bready taste with a hint of a citrus orange flavor. While the nose suggested a skunky and grassy taste, not much of this was on the tongue, instead the sweet caramel remains strong and is nicely complemented by a bit of lemon and some grainy flavors. Toward the very end, a light herbal and floral hop flavor joins the profile, creating a rather pleasant but somewhat thicker lager flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and creamier side for a lager of only 4.8 % abv with a carbonation level that is on the average side. The thicker body did accentuate the caramel and grainy flavors rather well, but made the body a little too heavy which took away from the more refreshing characteristics traditionally associated with a lager. Overall – The taste on this one really surprised me as it was much more robust and flavorful then I was expecting; a nice unexpected find. The mouthfeel and smell took away from the brew overall however, making it an only OK brew overall.
1.8 飲みやすい、日本のビールみたい
2.1 Per tractar-se d’una cervesa industrial no està malament. Por tratarse de una cerveza industrial no esta mal.
2.5 I’ve sampled this more than enough times. Here goes. Always into a pint glass. The appearance was a fairly decent looking amber/bronzed color with a quickly dieing half fingered white foamy head. There wasn’t any lacing. The smell had some light cooked caramel malts or uh...perhaps maybe burnt to an extent. The taste was semi-sweet through the cooked caramel malts. The palate sat fairly light and showed a pretty decent sessionable quality about it. The carbonation is exceptionally smooth. Overall, well, its an American Adjunct Lager and to me, well, its actually not bad, its just nothing really good.
3.9 Poured from 12 oz bottle into schooner glass. Appearance: pours a thick, frothy white head the quickly recedes with little to no lacing. Color is clear light golden with moderate streaming carbonation. Aroma: bready malts, a definite hop presence. Mouthfeel: light, watery, crisp with a dry refreshing finish. Flavor: lightly toasted barley, caramel, nicely balanced with pleasant grassy/herbal hop finish. Overall: a delicious beer. By far the best AB product I have tried.
1.8 Bubbly head & clear gold pour. Taste is light & stale. Body is thin to possibly medium. Kind of malty. Blah
2.5 12 apr 2014, bottle. Yellow, clear, occasional bubbles. Nose is very sweet lager malt and light lemon. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Very sweet, caramel malt. Meh.
3.6 Many of the reviews make me laugh. If you only drink overly-hopped IPAs this is probably a pretty bland beer. I find it just right for a hot summer day. Crisp and refreshing. Can drink more than one without feeling bloated.
0.7 @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear light amber, no head, no lace. Rising bubbles is the only sign of life in this woeful drink. As a college kid in the late ’60s, this was considered a step up from PBR and Bud. Now it is a thin adjunct laced watery mess. I’ll presume my taste, and not the beer, has changed. Hard to put this above anything.
0.6 still can’t believe anyone ever drank this shit..even back in the day..was better than bud..but not much.
