5.0 Please keep in mind that this Michelod Ultra AMBER is an ultra light beer such as Bush light, Miller lite, Miller 64, Natural light and also it’s sibling Michelob Ultra. This beer has only 95 calories and only 3.2 carbs, great if you’re diabetic or just watching carbs and want to enjoy a good tasting every now and then. As far as I am concerned it tastes far superior than any of the other beers I mentioned before and most other beers in it’s category. The only other beer that I would consider on par on taste is Sam Adams light but it also has more calories and carbs. So if you’re looking for a light beer with some flavor give the Ultra Amber a try it’s a great beer
2.6 Very little Amber taste. Still a very light watery beer.
2.2 bottled - drinkable for what it is. A good beer for an all-nighter or a party. Also a good alternative to Miller Lite and it has more flavor than regular Michelob Ultra.
1.9 A light amber beer. Sort of like the regular Michelob Ultra with a touch of caramel for sweetness. Still a little bitter though. Not the smoothest amber out there. Probably won’t be getting this again but glad I had the opportunity to try. Would rather have a regular Michelob Ultra or and Amber Bock instead.
2.6 Michelob Ultra Amber has a medium, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, amber appearance, and a few lacing streaks left behind on the glass. The aroma is weak, but mild, sweet roastiness and faint grain can be detected. Taste is also thin, but generalized grain, a ghost of caramel, and the ever so slightest breath of hop bitterness is present. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Michelob Ultra Amber finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. It’s pretty dull. RJT
1.5 Fresh 12oz bottle. Pale light-medium amber, light for an amber but then this is a light beer. Large fizzy head soon reduces to a ring. Smells like a mix of hops and dirt. To be fair it does smell like some English hops, but not appealing. The flavor is better but, of course, very light and mild. ... make that very, very light. Exceptionally light and watery body. Crisp, medium carbonation.
1.9 "the "malty, toasted aroma" the brewer describes is there, i suppose, just really hard to find. for what it is, it can be enjoyed, but not if you’re expecting much. A touch darker and maltier than Ultra, but about on the same level...maybe a tad better."
1.0 served in a bottle, weak aroma that was mostly non-descript. the brew did have a slight aroma of hoppiness, This beer is best enjoyed when purely looking for a thirst quencher and not for a beer experience.
2.3 Bottle to pint. Looks solid; a transparent copper with eggshell head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells of caramel and mild bread. Tastes like it smells, but blander. Average on the palate. Okay...by Ultra standards.
2.7 Pours a light amber color with a slightly sweet and malty flavor. Next to no lacing....but not a terrible beer. Of the low carb beers, michelob remains consistently better than most.
2.4 Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a light amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The fizzy head fades almost instantly leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is light overall with it consisting of a mix of caramel with notes of graininess. Along with these smells is a faint whiff of a grassy smell and a bit of fruit. Taste – The taste begins with a very watery flavor with just a hint of a grain and roasted malt. Upfront there is very little sweetness, but as the taste advances a lighter corn sweetness with a hint of caramel comes to the tongue. A very light herbal flavor and some tastes of paper come to the tongue at the very end of the taste, leaving a rather thin and weak amber flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is super thin with a carbonation level that is average. While the thin body is quite expected, a bit higher of carbonation would have been more fitting for the style, creating a more refreshing feel overall. Overall – Don’t expect too much here. But really should you really be expecting tons with a “ultra” low cal beer?
2.6 It has a medium amber color with good clarity and a thin white head. The head fades to just a small ring of bubbles around the glass and it leaves very little lace on the glass. The aroma has a light clean malty character with some light alcohol esters. It has a light bready malt with a slight sweetness. The hops are very neutral and offer very little to the overall flavor. Its palate is light with smooth watery texture and mild fizzy carbonation. Its finish is light and clean. Overall it has a simple clean flavor with a light body that’s easy drinking.
1.5 Aw man, do I really have to say something on this. Fine, though I’m not thrilled, here goes. It was poured in a pint glass for the three times I’ve had it. The appearance was actually a fairly decent looking amber color with a ton of carbonation rising into the white foamy head. The head must have died within a good twenty seconds. There wasn’t any lacing whatsoever. The smell had some cooked caramel malts and that was about it. The taste was sweet and once again that was about it, no aftertaste and no finish. The palate, it sat pretty light and actually showed a decent sessionable quality about it. Overall, there was nothing that even remotely thrilled me about this beer. Though sessionable and it didn’t have anything offensive about it on the palate, well, for the most part, its just not something I’d seek again.
0.5 Had this after running a half-marathon. They were giving it out free. Really just water with some color and carbs added.
1.1 Water in a bottle with some food coloring. I hate dieting and drinking this crap!
3.4 Very easy to drink and acceptable in taste. Not annoying and interesting looks too there.
1.7 Bottle. Pale golden/amber with a tiny white head. Scent is cereal, grass and something "off". Taste is grainy.
1.5 Recently I become much fat and have large waist area and leg portions. I must hide under thawb and not dress like western man until I lower weight. I try for working extra time in field, but each evening I come home and crave much refresh beer. I try this ultra amber beer for hoping to still enjoy a delish beer flavour with less calorie (95). It taste OK, similar to my cousin Zahra kofta meat dish....it have low flavour and I have had much better. I will drink anyway and hope to become much sexy man.
3.3 This is the beer my wife drinks, because she watches her calories, but likes to know she is drinking a beer still. Now that I’m watching my calories and carbs a little myself I find this satisfying for a super light beer. This one tastes more like a pilsner than a lager because of how light it is. Over all I would say this is good and would recommend this over regular Mich Ultra
2.4 Bottle. The best "diet" beer out there. Nice amber color with a great head. Aroma, weak and malty. Taste, also weak and malty.
2.0 Clear copper yellow with small off-white foam ring. Aroma is bit malty, bit caramel. Taste is bit sweet, caramel and watery. Short lasting aftertaste. (Houston 201306)
0.9 Bottle. Pours a crystal clear light amber color with a thin white head. Taste is super watery and light. It is technically beer, though not a terribly appealing one.
1.0 Bottle. Light watery malt aroma - close to no aroma. Clear copper with a small off-white head. Malt flavored water. Light watery body, moderate carbonation.
1.8 Best American low carb beer I’ve found, although way too light and watered down to compare with real beers. If strict diet I’ll drink it, otherwise better beers for me.
3.0 Michelob doesn’t do a dark beer justice with this amber beer, but it isn’t terrible either. It is a light beer that’s trying to be a dark beer, the two just don’t go together unless of course you’re watching that waistline. Overall its smooth and has some good flavor.
1.2 Pours a light amber color with a short lived soapy white head. The aroma is of a rather light malt with a slight skunky sent to it.The flavor was of a sour malt taste. The body was thin with a funky aftertaste.Overall not a good beer.
1.3 From bottle. Pours a clear light brown color. The taste is mostly water with a hint of malts. I suppose if you are watching your calories this could be a good choice, but if that’s the case just give me a whiskey straight up.
1.8 Bottle from Happy Harry’s in Fargo, ND. Clear light amber pour with a small white head. Very light and thin - just a little bit of caramel and nut in this. Bland.
1.6 Pours clear, slightly reddish dark amber. Small, off-white head. Scent is a little caramel, malt. Taste is watery malt......actually a little nut flavour....somehow. Very watery and flat. Incredibly weak.....
1.3 I’m honestly going to cut and paste what I wrote as a review for the original ultra. Sorry, but this is honestly the same thing as the regular ultra but with some caramel coloring. Here you go: "Nothing special about this one (should I have thought differently?). Pale golden color. Watered down AB aroma. Taste is pretty much the same. One less beer to rate." - Rob H
