1.9 355mL. Pours clear straw. Actually a nice head with webby lace. Nose is quite nice- very heavy raspberry purée not unlike NG Raspberry Tart. For reals! Very jammy and thick. Taste is not good- papery, oily, cardboard, very artificial with saccharine sweetness. Eh.
2.3 Bottle. Pale golden pour with a small white head. Aroma is lager yeast with a nice fruity raspberry element. Taste isn’t horrible but it is certainly bland.
1.6 Some sweetness in the aroma, but the taste falls flat. Tastes like a watery lager with only the faintest hint of fruit. Sucks.
1.3 Pours a light straw colour. Some raspberry aromas. Faint. Flavours are the same. Barely there..watery...another bad Michelob production.
2.0 pours clear, sparkling gold with a white head. Scent is a very pleasant berry mix..... The taste, while good, is very weak and watery berry. It has the body of an ultralight beer (and appearance)..... But, it’s still just a premium grade wine cooler . Tasty, but in no way a real beer.
1.7 Bottle to pint. Looks artificially flavored; it’s light-gold with thin white lacing and virtually no color influence from any pomegranate or raspberry. Smells artificially sweet, but not aversively so. Tastes less sweet, watery, and unbalanced. Somewhat unpleasant on the palate too. Not my thing.
1.6 A very thin brew tasting like it was made in a chemistry set. This is an ultra low carb, calorie, taste beer, so don’t expect much. The flavor of the actual beer, behind all the fruit, isn’t very good. It’s like they used a bad batch of brew and decided to hide the skunk with fruit syrup. Not good.
1.8 Berry pomegranate michelob ultra, is there much more that needs to be said. It goes down smooth as all hell and the taste makes it incredibly easy to drink loads of these all night long.
3.5 We think this line of Michelob tastes like a pack of Fla-vor-ice popsicles or Sweet Tart candies. For us, this is a good thing. I am interested in trying all of the varieties.
1.6 Pour from a 12oz botttl.e Pale yellow with white head, good head retention. Aroma of berry koolaid mixed with beer - initially appealing but after a couple of sips the aroma grew to be unpleasantly sweet and artificial. Taste is sweet, berries, a little astringency in the finish. Tastes like koolaid mixed with beer. Very thin palate.
1.7 Very sweet, but has slightly more beer flavor than the dragonfruit-peach that Michelob puts out. For non-beer drinkers.
0.9 12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow with some white head. Aroma of a little raspberry. Taste is about the same with a lot of corn and grain. Light bodied and thin textured. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, another crap fruit beer. I’m not diggin this one.
1.0 12 oz bottle pours yellow with a white head. Aroma of fruit. Tasted like a gummi bear with a beer aftertaste.
1.5 Original review: 6/2/08. Apart from the "lime in the Corona" this is my first of the fruit beers. Should have been a little wary when all the girls went crazy for it. Poured about a half-inch head, faded in 15 seconds. Some lacing that lasted a bit. Very light. Could definitely smell the pom. rasberry fruits. Didn’t taste like a beer at all. Rather, it resembled a good fruit drink gone a little sour. Was extremely easy to drink, but don’t plan on going with what’s easy in the future.
1.5 Bought this one in a make your own 6 pack at Fry’s grocery store. Had tha aromaof pomegranate and raspberry but that wis about it. Gold body with fizzzy head. Not much flavor and watery. Stale fruit beer made for people like us. Hey look someone out there needs another rating lets make this
0.9 Bottle. Pours pale yellow with no head. Aroma of artificial fruit flavoring and cereal grains. Watery with flavors of fake fruit, cereal grains and artificial sweetener. Seltzer water finish.
1.5 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with small frothy head. Berry aroma and rasberry. Tangy flavor and watery. Not much going on with this one.
2.1 Thanks to BeerFMAndy for killing me with this one and offering a quasi-refreshing liquid for in between beers at a recent tasting. "Palate cleanser between IH Kryptonite, Lawsons Double Sunshine, HF Double Citra and Abner before Pegs RARE DOS." Thanks for typing that sentence for me, Michael. Also, a bottom 100 tick. Score. Served in a tulip. Pours a clear golden color with a fizzy white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Nose brings mild pomegranate plus a load of fake raspberry. Flavor is the same plus same grain. Artificial sweetener and a bit of tannin. Not bad as a soda, pretty bad as a beer, though not undrinkable. I had this quote in my notes, which I must have said: "Doesn’t age (aka 2 hours) on my deck very well." Quite true. It certainly got worse as the open bottle sat around in the sun for awhile, though rest assured, I reviewed this under the optimal conditions of it being at its ideal serving temperature, i.e. just above freezing. 1.2 A female friend was drinking this, no surprise there. Since it was new to me, I had to have a sip. Very plain, and very fruity. You need not know any more.
2.6 12 ounce bottle, picked up a single of this at Liquor Barn. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear straw gold color with about a half inch white head. Pretty much no head retention at all, but there’s a decent bit of lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and fruity, it smells like candied pomegranates and raspberries. There aren’t any "beer-like" aromas, but it does have a nice fruity smell. The brew tastes like slightly watered down pomegranates and raspberries. Mouthfeel/body is light and watery, it has moderate carbonation, it’s smooth and it’s easy enough to drink. It’s an OK fruity drink, but it seems more like a malt beverage than a beer. As much as I hate to say it, I liked it a lot more than I thought I was going to.
2.7 Drank 3/19/11. 12 oz bottle into lager glass. Pours a pale clear yellow with a medium white head; retains itself pretty well, surprisingly; even leaves some lace. Artificial aroma of raspberries and pomegranates, no surprise. Taste is sweet and grainy; little bitterness. Very bland. As I said with Shock Top Raspberry Wheat, another Michelob product, it tastes more like berry-flavored seltzer water than beer. Highly carbonated, dry, and light-bodied. Although there are no off-notes, this is probably the boringest fruit beer I’ve ever had--no surprise.
1.3 12 oz single bottle from Country Club Liquors. Crystal clear yellow with a small pale yellow head. Nose of raspberry soda; very sweet with hints of cherry cough syrup thrown in. Flavor is lightly sweet, a mild raspberry note, and creamed corn.
3.2 How does beer with katie. The poor is a clear gold. Theobroma is full of raspberries pomegranate and other sweet fruits. Flavor is an instant sweetness on the tongue with hints of strawberry and pomegranate. Shockingly underrated
1.6 Tastes like Sunny Delight. Lime syrup. Alka-Seltzer. Larger smell than taste. Doesn’t really taste like anything at all.
1.6 Had enough of someone else’s (who shall remain nameless to protect the guilty) to get an idea. Light golden color with little white head. Aroma was dominated the the fruit. Flavor was fake fruit sweetness and not much else. This isn’t beer, and in this tester’s opinion, it isn’t good.
2.6 (12oz bottle thanks to Mora2000) clear bright gold, fine white bubbles. Nose of cherry urinal cakes, fake fruit. Taste of seltzer soda water, sodium, hint of raspberry, very obviously artificially carbonated.
1.6 (12oz bottle, courtesy of Mora2000) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of grain and some fruit notes. Flavor of artificial fruit and grain with a fizzy mouthfeel.
2.2 A: The pour is about as light as yellow can get with a white head that dies nearly instantaneously. S: Sweet, sugary, fake raspberries come through immediately. The slightly tart pomegranate comes next, but that is sweetened up as well. Definitely fruity... T: The fruit flavor is nearly completely masked by the overwhelming carbonation. Tonic water with a splash of raspberry flavoring. M: The body is light, very light, and the carbonation is excessive, to say the least. D: This isn’t offensive, at least, but it would be cheaper to just buy a bottle of flavored soda or tonic water.
1.9 The beer pours a clear, very light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is raspberries and bready malt, without much else. The flavor is pomegranate, raspberries, corn, bread and water. Not only is the beer very watery feeling, it tastes like a glass of water with a splash of fruit juice added to it. Medium carbonation and a thin, watery mouthfeel.
2.2 (bottle). Clear gold color. Small white head. Light fruity aroma. Same flavor, but diluted/watery with a light tartness. Short duration. Light dry finish. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Spare lacing.
