English: Imperial Stout is a dark and rich beer with a beautiful dark cream coloured head. It’s brewed from several types of roast malts and conditioned on oak, which adds to the heavy body. The Imperial Stout has a strong and growing aftertaste of coffee, bitter chocolate and vanilla. Suited for game, strong cheeses and chocolate desserts. Or may be enjoyed alone in a cognac snifter in front of the fireplace.

3.7 On tap @Ølbaren - Aarhus Streetfood. Pours deep red, almost black, with tanned head. Scent: Caramel, yeast, chocolate. Taste: Roasted malts, caramel, chocolate. Texture: High co2, quite thin.
3.7 Piwo ciemnobrunatne, piana drobna, szybko opada do obrączki. Aromat to ciemne słody, karmel, ciemny owoce, w tle kawa. Raczej słodki. W smaku lukrecja, karmel, ciemne słody, dosyć porterowy, trochę śliwki w czekoladzie. Na finiszu solidna paloność, alkoholowe grzanie. Dość niskie nasycenie, ciało średnie->pełne, w posmakach kawa i karmelowo-czekoladowa słodycz. Przyjemne piwo.
3.6 Pours black with one finger light tan head. Aroma is molasses, light cocoa and roast. Taste is brown sugar, moving to vanilla, roast, wood and light licorice. Finish is roast and wood. A good imperial stout.
3.5 Dsrk and with dark nose and heavy nose full of sweet sugar hints. Taste is molasses and some salmiak. Palate short but salty.
W aromacie czekolada, kawa, sporo paloności i delikatna wanilia. W smaku czekolada z kawą, palonością i alkoholem. Pełnia średnia, brakuje trochę ciała, piwo wytrawne. Alkohol niestety wyczuwalny, przeszkadzał w degustacji.
4.4 Tyk rig aroma, Let bitter og sødme Granatæble og let ristet kaffe Lang kaffe finish Rødt skær Average carbonation
3.6 Draught @ Panema, Helsinki. Poured black color with a thin brown head. Roasted malty, oatmeal, licorice notes. Flavor has roastedness, licorice, smoothness, cocoa. Dry finish.
3.6 (500ml bottle from the LCBO, BB 6/16) Definitely well past it's stated best before date. Nearly black pour with a big pale tan head. Notes of acidic roasted dark malt, a little caramel, burnt nuts, soft vanilla, oak, subtle cacao, a bit of dark fruit, subtle salt liquorice, light green hoppy bitterness. Lightly sweet turning to fairly dry, a bare hint sour, astringent and roasty with moderate bitterness. Fairly thin body with average carbonation, no alcohol. For an old bottle this held up very well, not showing many overt signs of oxidation. Reasonably pleasant old school imp stout feel, not the easiest to drink but still pretty well-brewed.
Sehr runde Sache!
3.7 Draught in Delerium. Jet black with a minimal head. Aroma is molasses and malt. Flavour is raisins, caramel, warm malt, dry smoked wood. Lingering bitter finish.
3.9 0.33 l bottle from 'Biermuda', best before April 2018. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, medium roasty and minimally fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, some licorice and hints of dark fruits. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty and a little fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, some licorice and a touch of dark fruits, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, moderately earthy-dry finish. Medium to full body, almost creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Classic Imperial Stout, great balance, good!
3.5 Mørkebrun. Kaffe, eg, toast i næsen. Helt ok.
4.4 Aus der Flasche im 2015-08 getrunken. Ein sensationelles, balanciertes Imperial Stout was keine Wünsche an ein solches Bier offen läßt. Hammergeiler Stoff.
3.6 Bottle, 50cl. Pours very dark brown. Still some cola-colored hue to it. Dense and creamy, settled beige head. Sweet, roasted malty aroma with coffee, herbal hops, wild red berries, wood, chocolate, caramel, toffee, raisin, some weak yeast - and dare I say, red wine? Taste is similar. Bittersweet coffee, chocolate and vanilla flavour at first. As it warms more heavily malty sweetness, roasty with more ripe dark fruits; oak, wood and earthy feel. Served too cold. Waited 10-15 minutes; got even more malty notes, wood barrel, vanilla, white pepper, cocoa, cherry oats and roasted grains. Let it develop and reveal itself. Medium body. Quite ... surprising for an almost 10 % beer. Flat carbonation and not that heavy mouthfeel. Best at its sweetspot between served too cold and getting bit flat and overly belgian ale-sweet. Get it right, and its great.
3.9 50 cl bottle poured in to a Snifter. BBE July 2019. Pitch black with a thin tanned head. Sweet roasted aroma with coffee, caramel malts, chocolate, fruity yeast, subtle wooden notes and berries. Herbal hops. Taste is sweet. Full body with an oliy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes lasting roasted bitter with fruity notes and dark malts. Nice Imperial Stout that still tastes good after 10 years on the market.
3.6 330ml Bottle - Very dark brown with some red tinges. Liquorice, plain chocolate and berries in the aroma. Slightly earthy taste with notes of fennel, coffee, liquorice and plain chocolate.
4.0 aroma is pralines , coffie ans roasted notes. taste is amazing chocolate coffie medium sweet liquor. palate is smooth.
4.0 Bottle. Color: Almost black, dense smooth light brown head. Taste: Earthy, dark roasted malts, espresso, licorice. More to the bittery than to the sweet side. Some hints of wood and vanilla. Medium to full body, intense finish. Medium carbonation. Licorice and bit boozy warming mouthfeel. A beer to enjoy, slowly sipping at a relaxed moment.
3.7 Data ważności: 22.10.2017 Kolor: Ciemny brąz. Pod światło widać, że trunek jest klarowny. Piana: Niewielka, ciemnokremowa o drobnej strukturze. Początkowo palone nuty ciemnych słodów przechodzą w coraz to silniejszą owocowość. Ciemne owoce przewodzą (ciemne winogrona, wiśnie). W kontrze do nich nuty toffi, karmelu i rodzynek. Słodki profil smakowy i czekoladowo-kakaowy finisz. Wysycenie: Niskie / Średnie. Podsumowanie: Imperial Stout z duńskiego browaru Midtfyns Brygus zdobywał szereg nagród na różnych festiwalach europejskich. Między innymi: Best New Beer in Denmark 2007 European Beer Star - Gold Aword 2015 European Beer Star - Consumers Favourite Silver Aword Winner 2015 Piwo jest ewidentnie słodowe z mocnymi elementami karmelu, kakao, ciasteczek maślanych, czekolady i ciemnych owoców.
4.1 500ml bottle @ home. Batch No. IS0002. Pours a rich opaque black with small tan head. Nose is earthy, roasted malt, and a sweetness. Flavour is upfront sweet, that lends way to a roasted and earthy flavour. The sweetness is raisin, plum, fig like. Medium bodied, and it is very well balanced through and through. Almost would consider this a desert imperial stout... very tasty brew.
3.6 Piwo w kolorze czarnym nalewa sie z niezbyt obfita lekko bezowa drobnopecherzykowa piana. W aromacie czekolada, kakao i troche alkoholu. W smaku dochodzi troche palonosci i sliwek. Polpelne cialo z niskim wysyceniem i goryczka na srednim poziomie.
3.4 Flot, mørk fyldig imp. stout med medium cremefarvet skum. Fine toner af chokolade, røg og lakrids.
4.5 L: -pours the darkest of brown with no light coming through and a small to medium, creamy, beige head S: -chocolate,rum,vanilla,cinnamon,coffee,licorice,cognac,coconut,tobacco T: -licorice,rye bread, dark chocolate, coffee, fudge, herbs -finishes dry F: -low to medium carbonation -light to medium body -no alcohol detectable O: A great Imperial Stout with surprising Barrel-aged Notes. The Body is a bit thin for a 10% Stout.
4.0 Botle 0,33l. Taste of caramel, burnt sugar, a bit of liquorice, and alcohol. Mouthfeel is appropriately heavy, and the alcohol is maybe noticeable, but it’s also extremely drinkable. Nice stuff.
3.7 Bottle. Opaque brown -black pour with thin brown head. Aroma is very chocolaty, powdered cocoa, fruity, light booze. Taste is bitter, very chocolate forward, not too dry for a Euro stout, really nice chocolate flavor. Palate is med-full bodied, a tad light for style, nice carbonation. Tasty.
3.9 Really nice chocolety aroma with notes of red wine, plums and a touch of coffee in the back. It’s super pleasant, might be a bit thicker though. Similar in taste, very rich, lot of different ‚dark’ flavours with pleasant roasted bitterness in the end. Mouthfeel is a bit disapointed. I was expecting much heavier body. In overall - very good stout.
4.3 Bottle 0,50L. Courtesy of Gregor. Clear, very dark, ruby brown color with average big, creamy, light brown head. Aroma of ripe dark fruits, caramel, peach & pear, roasted malts. Taste starts light sweet, caramely, dark fruits and finish medium bitter, chocolatly and vanilla like. Excellent imperial stout!
