Midtfyns India Pale Ale

English: An American inspired pale ale with a beautiful white head. It’s amber coloured with a rich malt profile and generously hopped with Cascade and Centennial. The brewer has chosen to dry hop this unique IPA during the fermentation and the result must be experienced.

3.4 Bottle 0,5l. Pours a cloudy amber colour. Taste of malts, hoppy sharp aromas.
3.3 Tap at Tinderbox. Hazy golden/amber with off white head. Aroma is malts, malts, some hops, citrus. Taste is Malts, sweet/caramel, hops, bitter, some grass. Way to malty for me..
3.4 50 cl, flaske, 7,3 % ABV, BB: 10/12/20, købt i Eurospar i Valby (senere lukket), 7. maj 2015. Over medium niveau.
3.2 On tap at O’Connors. Slightly hazy golden with white head. Aroma and taste has malt, bread, light caramel, citrus, grapefruit, grass and floral notes. Finish adds a bit of resiny woody notes.
2.9 Smell of hop, some mango. Cloudy amber colour, small white head. Aroma of earth, grass. Wild carbon, mouth fills with foam. Medium sweet. Dry and light palate.
3.5 Bottle from Bierzwerg! Pours clear amber colored with high, creamy white head. That beer looks absolutely perfect. Smell has fruity and citrussy hops and some caramel. Starts fruity hoppy, malty-sweet with some caramel and tropical fruits. Middle part has some resin, pine wood and citrussy hops, paired with lots of orange and grapefruit. Finish has lots of orange, grapefruit and some pine wood.
3.5 Bottle @ Friends. Appearance: pours cloudy golden with powerful white head with good lacing. aroma/taste: grain/bread, citrus, grass and floral notes. palette: medium carbonation, medium body, some caramel sweetness, average bitterness, long duration and an oily texture. Overall: good and tasteful ipa
3.4 Bottle. Unclear golden body with a large white head. Hops, fruit, bitter, dry. Slightly overcarbonated. But better then expected.
3.0 Amber colour. Didn’t pick up much aroma, flavour is light, malty, some citrus.
3.3 Nice full body and white head. Rich malt flavors, hoppy sharp aromas. I prefer my IPA more fruity and fresh than malty, but despite that, its a very nice beer.
3.2 Bottle 50cl. Dark amber cloudy with a light beige head. Nose has hints of citrus and american hops. Flavour of citrus fruits and not hoppy at all. Caramel is second. Actually my first impression was disappointed, but it is a rich IPA which is gently dosed with hops and not over dosed. Subtle bitter finish, not lengthy though.
3.4 0,5 l bottle. Citrus, green fruits, grass, golden, hazy, frothy, white foam, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, oily feel, lively, long finish,
3.2 Cloudy copper, sudsy offwhite head. Good, dark citrus aroma. Mild hoppy flavour with decent bitterness. Rather short, weak finish. OK but pretty simple, one dimensional IPA.
3.1 Tap at Bishops Arms, Helsingborg. Aroma is subtle but has notes of hops, citrus, flowers and grapefruits. Pours dark orange, small white head. Taste is hoppy and fresh, easy and tasteful and somewhat sweet. Palate is medium body but a bit thin. A nice beer but it is rather thin.
3.5 Mooie oranjekleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt iets fruitig, citrus, mout. Smaakt bitter, fris, iets dun, kruiden.
3.4 500 ml bottle Appearance: Dark golden with stable slightly tanned head, which leaves some lacing. Aroma: malts, caramel, some light fruitiness Taste: Medium Sweet caramelised malts and some grain with some bitter citrus hops to balance it out, some hints of banana. The Finish is a hoppy orange bitterness with still some traces of grain. medium body, good carbonation Quite sweetish and Grainy for an American IPA. Allthough not bad.
2.8 Bottle. Clear dark amber pour with thick white head. Odd strong aroma with some malt.. Taste is much better with solid malt base. Some hoppy bitterness appears at the end.
3.5 Aroma of malts, caramel, some light fruitiness, light hops. Flavour is malty caramel, a little sweetness, with some bitterness in the aftertaste. Not a fruity hoppy IPA at all, very much on the malty side.
3.6 Pours clear almost amber with a slightly tan head. Aroma has fliæoral hops and malt. Taste has floral hops balanced with malt, there is a slight roastiness.
3.9 Dark golden with stable head. English hop profile with some added fruity flair. Quite bitter, bubbly mouth feel. Nice brew! (50cl bottle from De Hopduvel shared with Peter and Bertanne)
3.5 Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr hopfig, fruchtig, malzig. Geschmack sehr fruchtig malzig, hopfig, grasig.
3.2 Deep dry fruity aroma. Clear amber with white head. The bitter sweet taste is out of balance. Full bodied with oily texture & average carbonation.
3.2 Pours dark orange/copper. White head. Aroma is candy sugar, nuts, fruits, tea and caramel. Flavour is sweet and caramel with notes of fruits. Not your basic IPA. This is sweeter, not so hoppy and almost like a European barley wine.
3.7 Brown bottle, 50 cl, best before 22-06-2014, via Importations Privées Bièropholie (merci Hughes!), savoured on November 20 2013; eye: orangey, hazy, no effervescence, nice tan head that turns into a sheet, nice lacing; nose: malt, grain, bittering hops, orange; mouth: malt, grain, bittering hops, orange, light banana, bitter finale with presence of grain, medium body, good carbonation, mildly bitter, slightly sweet, light astringency, grainy texture; overall: fine FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 50 cl, meilleure avant 22-06-2014, via Importations Privées Bièropholie (merci Hughes!), savourée le 20 novembre 2013; œil : orangée, voilée, pas d’effervescence, belle mousse fauve qui se transforme en une couche, bonne dentelle; nez : malt, grain, houblon amérisant, orange; bouche : malt, grain, houblon amérisant, orange, léger banane, finale amère avec présence de grain, corps moyen, bonne carbonatation, moyennement amère, très légèrement sucrée, légère astringence, texture granuleuse; en résumé : bien
3.9 50cl bottle pours with a slightly hazy deep gold body with copper hues and supporting an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up a different set of hops than I’m used to, which is fine. Smells initially like an aged barleywine. I get malt infused perfume flowers mixed with candied tangerines with just a light dash of mango and lime in the background. The taste delivers floral and citrus and some tropical fruitiness at first where there is an abundance of malt sweetened flavor hops and just a light amount of bittering hops. To midway and into the finish a pleasing, yet light, degree of earthy tea comes to the surface. I’m really starting to dig this stuff. Nice IPA.
3.6 500ml bottle. Clear, reddish glowing amber colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Piney hop aroma with a herbal touch, caramel malty basis with a touch of almond. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, a touch of almond, marzipan, and toffee, piney hoppy overtones, fruity hints of orange; moderate hoppy, minimally grassy finish. IPA that has its strengths on the malty side.
3.8 Hazy amber coloured beer with a medium white head. Aroma of oranges and some hops. Taste is grapefruit and hops. Sharp bitter finish. Medium palate.
3.3 Bottle shared by Joes. Very hazy orange color, medium to full sized, fairly long lasting white head. Smell lightly malts, hops, some old hops and a bit hayish. Taste malts, hops, again some old hops, slightly a hint of fruity sourness, or maybe not fruity sourness but fruitpeel sour-bitter. Can’t really put my finger on it. Weird. Not a bad beer but not a really good IPA either.
