3.9 Lugter af... humle. Men faktisk også lidt sødt af malten. Rødligt udseende. Fint, blivende cappuccino-farvet skum. Afslutning naturligvis humlet. Mere harmonisk end ventet.
4.1 Bardzo ciężkie, słodowe, karmelowe, gładkie. Po nazwie spodziewałem się potężnej goryczki, ale jej nie spotkałem. Zwyczajnie goryczkowa podwójna ipa, ale bardzo treściwa. Świetnie ułożone, alkohol nie wyczuwalny. Warto.
3.6 330 ml bottle. Dark colour, a sirupy malty taste offsetting nicely the 1000 IBUs.
3.7 On tap at brewdog pub. Medium dark caramel ruby with no lacing and a fairly thin head. Scent is hop acid not unlike hop shot. Taste is consistent. Floral. Hardly 1000 IBU, but similar to hop shot. I enjoy it. Great.
3.4 Tap @ Miezis un kompānija, Riga. Mikkeller tap takeover. Poured amber in color, thin white head. Malty, sweet, resiny aroma. Heavy stuff, with resin, hops, malts and sweetness. some caramel. dry, bitter finish.

3.6 Bottle @Johans place. Pours a amber colour beer with a medium head. Fruity and hoppy with notes of caramel, sugar and pine. Dry finish.
3.5 Klasyczna Imperial IPA, mocno słodowa, ale nie przesadza z karmelem. Żywiczno - kwiatowa, cieżkawa, z niezłą goryczką. Idealnie schowany alkohol. Niska pijalność.
3.9 Copenhagen 22/3 2019. 33 cl bottle from Mikkeller & Friends Bottleshop, Torvehallerne, Kbh K. Drawing of what looks like a masked bandit in a Green jail on the label. Pours murky Maroon with big chunks of yeast whirling around. Big yellowish head. Fairly stable. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of fluffy foam. Substantial Lacing. Aroma is strong and of sweet, fermented fruit, alcohol with strong citric notes of Grape fruit which gives an indication of an bitter and dry Flavor. Light carbonation. Thick, oily, Soft texture. A little sticky. Flavor is medium sweet followed by a strong (but still civilized) bitterness. Very notable presence of alcohol. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingering. Finish is dry. Very nice Imperial IPA with a solid boozy kick and a decent bitter bite - but a 1.000 IBU may be a fairly high estimate of the bitterness 🙂.

3.8 Bottle from Nitrianska pivotéka. ...and it's not as bitter as 1000 ibu would suggest. Yes, it's very bitter, yes, one feel pure hops. Yes there's some serious lasting bitterness. ...but it could have been more. Still enjoyable though.
3.7 One thousand IBUs... c'moooon!! This shouldda been like yo c'mon c'mon yo c'mooon... Bitter like hell like c'mon bitter as hell yeah bitter is bitter yeah yo bitter for real! I know that IBUs are measured their own way, and it's not like we mortals can really feel or taste or understand it for that reason, but bitter in my book means bitter and 1000 means a super-extra-hyper lot. And this is not a super-extra-hyper lot. Had some time ago a-I-dunno-but-more-or-less-200-IBUs that was way more bitter than this (which is supposed to be five times as much.) So -yo! What's the deal, guys at Mikkeller? You kiddin' or bluffin' or what? It's not like the ale is bad or anything, but -a thousand?!! So, the tasting: it pours reddish copper, tan foamy head; aroma is intense indeed: pine needles, pomelo, glossy paper. Yes, glossy paper. Yes: GLOSSY PAPER! Go smell some satin-like shiny full-color book page and then you'll know what I mean. Taste is rather sweet to begin with, then slick, fresh, crisp yet very -veeeery bitter (but not aggressive.) Long lasting, but do check IBUprofano for a much clearer high IBU ale (and not in the over-hyped thousands.)
3.6 Tap (Craftowa, Wrocław) Aromat słodowy. W smaku jest słodowo, czuć lekko owoce. Piwo jest pełne, pije się bardzo przyjemnie.
3.8 Tap (Craftova, Wrocław). Słodkawe w aromacie, czuć mega ciało, slodowosc. W smaku słodowe, karmelowe, pełne w odbiorze z wyczuwalną goryczką ale mocno balansowana podstawą słodową. Lekko rozgrzewający alkohol w tle.
4.1 Keg, Mikkeller Shoreditch. Deep amber, thin off white head. Aroma of pine, molasses, slightly herbal. Dense mouthfeel. Big caramelly taste, malt, then a big bitter follow through. Yum.
4.0 Fat @ Mikkeller CPH Airport. grumlig brunorange öl med ett gräddigt smutsvitt skum. Doft och smak av kåda, tallbarr, grapefrukt karamell och bröd. Riktigt god och inte så extrem som de vill få en att tro.
4.0 On tap at Mikkeller bar CHP airport. Clear brown. Nutty, hoppy, pine in the nose, nutty, malty and hoppy and piney -oldschool bitternees and i like it. Full body, full hoppy and dry finish. Nice!

3.8 Cyfra napędza hajp, ale to nie jest ultra gorzkie piwo. Ba, ono nawet nie jest gorzkie - goryczka tonie w karmelu. Bardzo gęsta oldskulowa dipa. Niezłe.
4.3 Hazy orange with off white head. Aroma of Granny Smith, grapefruit, hops and malt. Taste is sweet and hoppy. Damn, I think this would go with a good soft cheese, maybe a blue. Only have one bottle, and did not plan ahead. Maybe if I stumble on this again.
1.5 Das Bier hat keinerlei eigene Aromen, es ist einfach nur bitter. Dabei ist es nicht einmal frisch hopfig-bitter, sondern einfach nur grauslich bitter. Auf der Zunge bleibt ein widerlich pickiger Geschmack zurück, den ich mit Orangensaft wegspülen musste. Ich frage mich, was eine etablierte Brauerei dazu bringt so eine Widerlichkeit zu produzieren. Will man hier zu "cool" sein?
5.0 One of the top IPAs in the world. I've tried every single IPA I can get my hands on over the last several years, and this is the rare contridiction: a reductio ad absurdum of bitter balanced by a dank, syrupy malt and full alpine, pinewood palate. Although the IBUs are through the roof, I never tasted bitter (above other leading ipas: Headdy Topper, Melvin's Lambda, etc..) Without being sweet Mikkeller's 1000 IBU pours opaque dark amber with a medium golden head. This beer has the most suspended yeast and material in the glass I have experienced outside of an unfiltered home brew, and the specific gravity has to be extreme. If you like hoppy, thick ipas, you will love this. the taste profile is pine sap, raw honey, juniper, light conifer smoke, and cedar. Incredible pour and a great, albeit pricy, drink.
4.0 Very dark orange pour almost brown. Aroma honey. Tastes well balanced honey and Noble spicy hop character. Best by date was past but this was still very solid.
3.2 A 330ml bottle, with a best before date of 21st September 2019. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a hazy dark copper colour with quite a lot of very small suspended particles, a two finger beige head that had good retention and left behind lots of nice sticky lacing. Aromas of caramel maltiness, mango, pine, grapefruit zest and orange rind. Tastes sweet, caramel malt, resinous pine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel and brown sugar. Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, not bad, but it’s not exactly what I want my DIPA’s to be like. Approaching like a Barleywine and on the verge of being too sweet in my opinion. Once is enough for me.

3.6 Sure it's as hoppy as could be but it's not really that bitter and it is easier to drink than expected.
