3.8 750 ml bottle purchased at Dutch’s in 2013. I brought some sour and funky stuff up to the main fridge while friends were in town because that’s what everyone was in the mood for. However, I should’ve been the one to open them. My dipshit friend Mike grabbed this from the fridge, walked down the hall toward the living room and began to twist the cage off and the cork did the rest of the work, blasting the cage out and gushing foam all over the floor, coffee table, and carpet. Then Mike, because he is a dipshit, blamed me for "probably not storing it correctly." He’s a dipshit. During the cleanup and lack of apology from Mike the Dipshit, this one sat in the sink, continuing to slowly push foam from the top, and eventually settling at a final resting height around the second (main) shoulder- so we lost a decent amount of this one to gushing. It pours a hazy gold with a frothy eggshell white head. Funky as fuck - like a big, aggressive bretty barnyardy fruity funk. Bitter grass and florals, straw, bread, cracker, and biscuit. Medium-bodied, with high fizzy carbonation and a simultaneously crackling and funky mouthfeel. Good collaboration and a tense, interesting experience thanks to my dipshit friend Mike.
3.3 Pours opaque honey-apricot with a thick eggshell head. Aroma is fruity and yeasty, while flavor echoes all this and adds some malt to the mix. Body and fizz are OK. Come alive!
