Danish: Denne imperial oatmeal stout er brygget med den vietnamesiske kaffesort Ca Pe Chon, som er en af verdens dyreste kaffesorter. Ca Pe Chon kaffen er lavet af afføringen fra væseldyr. De sydøstasiatiske dyr spiser kun de bedste og mest modne kaffebønner. Enzymer i deres fordøjelsessystem hjælper til at nedbryde bønnerne. Herefter indsamles afføringen som indeholder de hele bønner og bruges til væselkaffen. Kaffen har en kraftig smag og en endnu kraftigere aroma. Nogle mener endda, at kaffen øger sexlysten!

Beczkę czuć już w aromacie, sporo koniakowych nut, do tego dochodzi mocno palona kawa i trochę pralinek. W smaku jest bardzo gładko, czuć gorzką czekoladę i kawowe merci, coś bardzo przyjemnego. Kawa zostawia bardzo głęboki wytrawny posmak. Alkohol w klimatach koniakowych wyczuwalny, ale zupełnie nie przeszkadza. Z jednej strony jest bardzo gładko i zwiewnie w smaku a z drugiej bardzo bogato i wielowymiarowo. Kawa i beczka bardzo mocno robi tu robotę. Genialny aftertaste.
Bottle 330ml brewed at Lervig (grey wax).Pours pitch black with beige head.Rich mouthfeel with soft carbonation that fits this beer.Aromas of cognac, wood and hints of espresso coffee.Taste is sweet with coffee and cognac in a perfect balance.Amazing aftertaste that lasts with no hints of the 10,9% abv of alcohol.This is a world class beer that deserves the hype for sure.

"zbiorów". Mowa tutaj o Imperialnym Owsianym Stoucie z browaru
Mikkeler,uwarzone wraz z dodatkiem najdroższej kawy na świecie
czyli Copi Luwak,i do tego leżakowane w beczce po koniaku!
Jest grubo! Ślinka cieknie,łapki się trochę trzęsą,ale w końcu
przyszła pora aby się tym maleństwem zająć odpowiednio. :)
W sumie to chciałem jeszcze troszkę poleżakować owe piwo,
aleee raz nie zawsze,i tak już długo na mnie czeka bo od początku maja,
tak że czas najwyższy a że jest lekka okazja to tym bardziej !

W drugim planie wyczuwalna charakterystyczna gładkość piwa,

Leciutki alkohol ale bardzo szlachetny,wplątany w tą gorzką bardzo
dobrej jakości czekoladą,lekki zbożowy charakter w tle,finisz,gładki,
lekko palony,lekko nawet popiołowy i znowu nuta dobrej beczki. Ahh!
Barwa/Piana: Piękna,drobna,ładnie zbita beżowa piana,
barwa ciemne niczym smoła,nieprzejrzyste w szkle zupełnie.

Zaraz za tym bogata i również mocna dawka gorzkiej czekolady z
dosyć dużą słodyczą w tle. Kawa bardzo delikatna gdzieś tam między tym
wszystkim majaczy,jest takim dopełnieniem jak na razie,w głównej roli jednak
pozostają nuty beczki i praliny belgijskie. Aromat bardzo ale to bardzo gładki,
kremowy i dobrze zbalansowany. Ahh genialny aromat! Ge nial ny! Beczka
z tym lekkim alkoholem bardzo dobrze uchwycona i zaznaczona,czekolada
podkręcona na maxa,kawa delikatna ładnie wplątana a całość iście kremowa

Smak: O ludzie jakie to gładkie w fakturze,bardzo oleiste,bardzo
gładkie i bardzo kremowe to się rzuca pierwsze na kubki smakowe.
W smaku na pierwszym planie górują pralinki i czekolada,ale
doszła bardzo dobra,mocna i konkretna paloność z lekkim popiołem
na końcu. Alkohol leciutko rozgrzewa w przełyku,całość bardzo mocno
przypomina likier,nie tylko fakturą a i smakiem. Wszystko jest mocne,konkretne,
i ładnie zgrane i zbalansowane. Dochodzi też bardzo delikatna,subtelna,lekko
słodka nuta i posmaki wanillii bardzo dobrze współgra to z całością.
Kawa dalej delikatna gdzieś tam pomrukuję
z tyłu ale też trzeba pamiętać że ta kawa znana jest z tego że nie posiada
goryczki jak typowa palona mała czarna i jest nieco mniej kwaskowa,także
tutaj również kawa jest bardzo subtelna,iście degustacyjna.
W odbiorze alkohol czuć tylko lekko na przełyku ogólnie jest bardzo dobrze
zamaskowany i wkręcony we wszystkie aromaty bardzo ładnie,dębina
po czasie uwolniła swoje moce i pokazała swoje pazury,mamy mokre drewno,
lekkim posmak,aromat koniaku który delikatnie pozostaje na języku,to
wszystko dopełnione przez palone słody i lekko ugładzone poprzez kawę.

Ris jaki do tej pory piłem ever! :3 Wybitnie degustacyjny,bardzo bogaty,gładki,kremowy i esencjonalny,z każdym łykiem coraz lepszy i pokazujący coraz więcej,a jest w nim dużo dużo dobrego! Nie wiem jak jest z wersją podstawową ale ta wersja leżakowana w beczkach po koniaku,rzuca o glebę,niszczy system i w ogóle wychodzi na prowadzenie ostro! Także International Stout Day uczczony na bogato i bardzo bardzo
pysznie! Jak tylko gdzieś dopadnę to na pewno zakupię drugą butelczynę! :3

As close to black as a brew can be. Diminishing dark cocoa colored head. Really a glass coating liquid. Aromas of dark malt and chocolate, light smoke and dark fruits. Hints of oak and alcohol. Light sweet fruit in the front. Middle is loaded with malt, toffee, sweet coffee, and dark chocolate. Cognac works it way in during the finish and linger, with a mild burn at the end. The flavors seem to thin out in the end leaving me looking for some of the excitement found in the front. Still a nice nightcap. 12/12
Comparing to regular version, which I’ve drunken few times, this one is more woody, vanilla, brandy notes also bid up some boozy character and intensifies dryness. The regular version also reveals different layer of beer during degustation (which was nice), here you have rather solid brew, but with its specific character. After warming up, yes there is strong cognac influence. Medium to full body, oily and thick texture, soft carbonation, finish is roasted, chocolate, alcoholic and definitely oaky and cognac. Despite lightly boozy character this one is well drinkable. In overall minus for noticeable ABV content and not perfect palate. I think regular version was slightly better. Ok lets say 4.0 !

The flavour is heavy sweet and heavy bitter with long duration and lingering coffee. Some alcoholic warmth. Full and creamy. Smooth and soft. Heavy yet balanced. Complex. A great beer...

330ml bottle. Pour pitch black with a tall tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, bitter coffee and cognac. Strong alcohol feel follow by roasted malt and rich coffee, not as bitter as my nose suggest. medium to high body, soft carbonation for the style and oily texture. Long and sweet finish, classic to the Imperial Stout, the alcohol warm the pipe quite nicely.
Bottle. Black in colour, creamy beige head. Arona is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, cognac boozy notes. In flavour medium sweet, boozy, chocolate, fruity and vanilla. Full bodied, creamy and oily with soft carbonation. Sweetish, fruity/roasty finish. Really nice.
Holy shit and omg. This beer is fucking huge. Shared (thank the lord!) bottle in greenville. I literally felt one sip go to my head. All the right dark beer notes come through but really balanced. Coffee, chocolate and cognac dominate. Roast and earth come to the table. Dark fruit, prune, fig, vanilla. Really you could find about anything you want in this brew. Complex and cerebral. Boozy is not usually a quality I go for, but works here. Want to try the non cognac version. Outstanding beer.
(330ml 2014 silver wax bottle from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours pitch black with a moderate-sized pale brown head that persists but leaves no lace. Aroma of dark chocolate, powerful cognac with raisins and prunes, moderate roasted grain, burnt wood, liqueur, light tar, soft notes of earthy coffee, hints of vanilla and liquorice. Flavour again has a strong but smooth component of cognac and dried dark fruits, especially prune, semisweet chocolate, moderate toasted malts, subtle earthy coffee and cacao nibs, light vanilla. Finish is drying and moderately bitter to balance the vinous cognac, with roasted grains, light wood, coffee grinds, a touch of liquorice. Full bodied and rather viscous with soft carbonation and a touch of alcohol. So smooth, with a wonderful fruity character from the cognac imbuing a world-class stout body and softening it. Surely the coffee has faded a bit with age, but provides balance. Lovely.

Oh boy here we go! Aroma is full of vanilla,dark fruits,coffee,roasted malts and chocolate. Color is deep black with no foam. Taste is what blew me away. Tons of vanilla sweetness is countered by bitter counter with just tons and tons of coffee and chocolate.Full bodied,oily Imperial Stout with no carbonation with long finish and coffee aftertaste. Well hidden alcohol with 10.9% ABV is really something. Mikkeller your beer is outstanding!

Bottle. Pitch black with a quickly fading dark brown bubbly head. Aroma is of dark chocolate, rich bitter coffee, dark fruits, hint of liquorice, slight booziness, reminds me of liqueur chocolates. Taste is of coffee, blackcurrant, raisins, chocolate, liquorice, molasses. Sticky heavy oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.
Pours oily black, slightly haze, with foamy brown head. Visually low carbonation. Aroma: rich dark and roasted malt aroma, with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, cacao powder and nibs, roasted coffee nibs, supported with notes of molasses, vanilla, oak and cognac. Flavor:
Rich roadted coffee and dark malts flavors, which also takes on coffee, dark chocolate, are supported with flavor of Cognac, vanilla, cinnamon, hint of licorice, oak.
In the background are hop notes, which takes of dark fruits. Taste is sweet, with evident alcohol presence, and dry, slightly bitter finish. Body is full, texture soft, carbonation low. The normal, non barrel aged version is still the best one for me.
330 ml bottle with new design. Pitch black liquid with medium brown head. Rich, powerful aroma. Berries, raisins, cognac and of course really powerful aroma of coffee beans. Thick, silky mouthfeel. Coffee, berries, cognac at first. Dark bread, raisins and burnt coffee beans and sourness in the middle. Hints of berries and sourness of coffee beans in the end. Nice cognac in the aftertaste. Really heavy bodied, thick, low carbonated, cosmic beer. Very well balanced. Giant!
Bottle @ home. Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized light brown to mocha colored head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, roasted malts, cognac, soft coffee, some roast. Taste malts, some coffee and roast, cognac, a hint of liquorice, lightly wood with a sweet-bitter finish. Medium to full body and suitable average carbonation. Very nice!
Bottle from my European Secret Santa rouhlas. Pours dark mahogany, almost black. Just a bit of foam, does not last. Aroma is thick and fulfilling. Has some dark fruits, plums soaked in cognac, some oak is there and also bit of subdued coffee is coming-out from the end. When I swirl the beer in the glass, it sort of sticks on the glass, high viscosity. Taste is smooth, thick and velvety. Then comes the booze. Warming, has some bitter chocolate, coffee and cocoa dust. Lots of flavours and leaves some lingering bitterness and liquorice linger in the finish. Good stuff, I am glad I could share this one with my relative, luring her into the world of beer, one full bottle just for me would have been way too much.

shared sample at the rover gotenborg, poured a deep pitch black colour with a tanned head. nose of strong deep coffee, sweet chocolate, oak, sweet vanilla, earthy cognac, licorice, and sweet toasted malts, slight nutty flavor aswell. very nice beer. with still a lot of base beer.
Il est rare que je me permette ce genre de dégustation mais en ce dernier jour de vacances des Fêtes 2015, je me résous à suivre à la lettre les instructions écrites sur l’étiquette: je bois cette bière au déjeuner. Mon étrange sentiment de plaisante culpabilité est tout aussi grand que le bonheur que me procure cette bière matinale qui est la suite parfaitement logique au café que je buvais en regardant par la fenêtre Mademoiselle Irina s’éloigner vers son travail. Le liquide tombe lourdement dans mon ballon pendant que j’enfile mes gros bas de laine style chalet canadien. Le liquide parvient à lui seul à assombrir la pièce dans laquelle pénètre de chauds et lumineux rayons de soleil. La mousse brune et généreuse ne tient qu’un instant, mais je ne lui en veux pas. Ce moment est exquis et aucune place à la déception. Je fais tournoyer le liquide dans mon verre. Une prémousse riche et onctueuse me rappelle que je me gâte comme jamais je n’ose le faire et pendant de longues minutes, je respire les vapeurs chaudes de ce plaisir coupable sans même approcher le verre de mon nez. La pièce est emplie de cet arôme de réglisse noire brûlée, de malts noircis et croustillants qu’il n’est pas rare de retrouver dans les stouts impériaux Danois ainsi que de chocolat. C’est riche, cochon... vacancier! Magnifique équilibre en bouche entre l’alcool et la torréfaction. Le vieillissement en barrique de Cognac est présent mais n’amincit pas trop le liquide qui conserve un corps très appréciable. Une texture sirupeuse, des malts riches auxquels je me soumets le sourire aux lèvres, un goût complexe de cette barrique bi-centenaire... Longue, sirupeuse, douce et ferme, cette bière semble même appréciée de mes Chats avec qui je partage ce moment privilégié.
Bottle. Really black in color with a beige head. A good set of chocolate and wooden cognac in aroma. Simple, but oh so good. Licorice vinous notes too. Coffee and chocolate with some cognac meets again in taste. The drinkability is really good here as well. Soft mouthfeel. Some sweetness and even late fruityness is found, but fortunately the bitterness is on a sufficient level and hence it makes the bottle to empty too soon. On the verge being too smooth though. But then again that’s a good thing alright. Everybody ready for a blackout.

Drank from 12oz bottle in Chiang Mai - bottle from hair of the dog in Bangkok. Black thick with brown head. Rick roasty chocolate aroma. Taste is boozy, cocoa, coconut and creamy. Very tasty
Bouteille avec une cire grise-argentée. Un liquide presque brun foncé presque noire qui a la viscosité de l’huile à moteur quand il est versé. De riches parfums de café, de chocolat embaument la pièce. S’est ensuite que vient le cognac ou autre alcool fort. La bouche est superbe, la texture incroyable, d’une richesse déconcertante. Une bière d’anthologie.
