Mikkeller Belgian Tripel

Mikkeller Belgian Tripel

3.3 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color. Aroma and taste are fruits and some spices.
3.1 Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy orange body with a few yeast flecks floating around. Medium white head. Steady fizz. Good lacing. Aroma of fig, apricot and Angel Delight. Flavour of cream, apricot, plastic, orange and a boozy finish. Medium body with a frothy texture. Light fizz. Rich and fruity.
3.7 Draught at Mikkeller Tokyo. Honey malt, cake, dried fruit, marmalade, spice round mouthfeel, gentle warming finish. Not bad, quite a smooth and tasty tripel.
3.6 Tap at Tokyo. Dark orange-amber, low head. Spicy yest, honey, peches nose. Bit boozy. Sweet, jammy, peaches, strawberry, orange, tingly hop finish. Full silky bosy. Decent, nt great.
4.0 330ml bottle from Gallagher’s Beer World/El Irlandés. Completely different label but same name and alcohol content. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a medium white head that lingers well and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is quite intense, fruity and spicy, a classic Tripel, with notes of honey, palm syrup, coriander, mandarines, orange marmalade, and a bit of green pepper. Really nice with well integrated amounts of orange liquor and booze. Taste is also classic, fruity sweetness, amounts of spice, and booze in the end. In the taste you actually feel the coriander flavor much more than in the smell. Fruitiness is rich and persistent in the beginning, with concentrated tangerines, oranges and honey hints. It gets more spice towards the end but finishes with a beautiful alcoholic kick. Aftertaste is long and spicy. Medium body and relatively high carbonation allow this one to be intensely flavorful but refreshing at the same time. For some reason beyond my comprehension this style is not much loved by Ratebeerians... This one is a truly underrated, flawless classic Tripel. It could only be accused of not being adventurous or original.
4.0 They’ve done a pretty authentic tripel here - plenty of herbs and spices atop honey, pear, caramel and Belgian yeast. Typical big fluffy head, medium syrupy body, very good.
3.2 Bottle in Belgrade-Serbia. Pours clean orange peel color, big frothy foam. Nose: a bit spicy, spicy yeasty orientation, a bit of coriander, malts. Also orange peel perceivable. Mouth: quite clean body, dry end, frizzy and spicy finish. In the middle the spices are too prominent for my taste.
Fin balans.
3.4 Bottle from the Mikkeller Christmas Calendar. Clear golden, offwhite head. Yeasty, spicy aroma with orange peal and botes of glue. Flavour is similar. Slightly rough and perhaps even a little harsh, but not entirely unpleasant. Gets rounder and sweeter after a while.
3.3 Tap at Fairbar. Hazy amber body with a foamy white head. Sweet, fruity aroma. Sweet taste with light bitterness. Fruity, spicy and yeasty flavours. Medium body with average carbonation. A bit on the sweet side for a tripel, but tasty nonetheless. It tastes like something out of Belgium.

4.1 On tap at Öl & Bröd in Copenhagen. Fruity smell with almond paste. Similar taste, sweet with a bread. The sweetness gave it a nice balance. Very nice, easy to drink with a well hidden alcohol. I tried this with their 3 course meal and it was great with the food.

3.1 Bottle at home. Pours golden amber, nose is yeasty, light fruit, taste is dark fruit, yeasty, toffee.
3.8 Bottle. Hazy orange with a decently lasting beige/orangey head. Solid aroma of oranges - quite powerful and very nice. Also some spices, resin and caramel notes along with a typical belgian yeast aroma. Flavour is sweet and orangey with malt notes of caramel along with alcohol and spices. Has a more apparent bitterness than most other tripels. Solid body as well. Very nice beer.
3.4 Bottle from Mi-Orge Mi-Houblon, Arlon, Belgium! Pours hazy amber colored with creamy white head. Smell is very sweet, yeasty and grainy. Starts sweet yeasty, grainy, with lots of fermented fruits. Finish is very sweet, grainy with a delecious note of belgian yeast!
3.7 Bottle. Pours a true copper, quite carbed, a little bit of floaties, thin layer of white head. Nose is sweet Carmel. Tastes really sweet, caramel, a touch bitte, some dark fruits, figs etc. pretty delicious.
3.1 Bottle. Clear copper with a medium sized creamy white ok lacing head. Aroma starts off with grain, coriander, light oranges then turns white sugary sweet and alcoholic with light phenolic notes and some sweet caramel before a fruity finish with quite an alcohol bite. Taste is medium/heavy sweet and light/medium bitter. Medium/full body, oily texture, soft/medium carbonation. Too alcoholic and sweet for my taste.
3.6 Aroma:some sweet aromas yet pretty subtle Taste:malty/fruity balanced taste with smooth finish Appearance:light brown body thin retaining head
3.5 Bottle at home. Pours a hazy, pale, amber with a white head. Sweet, fruity, aroma. Soft carbonation. Sweet taste, slightly oily texture, with hints of alcohol, orange and a somewhat more bitter after taste. Overall a very decent tripel.
3.8 Mikkeller. Belgian Tripel.
