4.3 Nie lubię powtarzać piw, jednak tu była ciekawa opcja, bo najpierw kupiłem starszą warkę. A drugie dostałem w paczce z Mikkelera i trzeba przyznać że oba piwa znacznie się różnią, ale po kolei. 16,8% alko, data do 21.09.2026 Świetny balans w tym piwie, z jednej strony dużo słodkich nut, głównie czekolada i pumpernikiel. Kontruje to średnia kawowa goryczka, jedynie alkohol trochę za mocno czuć, choć to jednak ponad 16%. 15% alko, data do 7.10.2029 Imo jeszcze lepsze od poprzedniego, choć zdecydowanie idzie w stronę pastry stouta, mleczna czekolada dosłownie mleczna czekolada w płynie, delikatnie wanilia i lekka kawowa kontra. Alkohol niewyczuwalny. Oba są świetne, pierwsze bardziej klasyczne podejście do RISa, drugie już podchodzi pod pastry stout. Drugie oceniłem trochę wyżej za ukrycie alko.

2.0 Qua uiterlijk best oké, zo zwart als de nacht met een stevige mokkakleurige kraag die lang blijft hangen, maar die 15,1% alcohol zat heel goed verstopt. Misschien een beetje teveel verstopte alcohol als je het mij vraagt. Tonen van drop, laurier, hout en een nasmaak van te goedkope port, wat het bier niet lekker maakt.

3.8 Fat @Mikkeller, Kastrup. Svart med ett brunt skum. Dofter av Mörk choklad, torkad frukt, behandlat trä och lakrits. Smakinslag av tryffelchoklad, torkad frukt, lakrits, alkohol och kaffe. Fyllig kropp, oljig munkänsla.

3.0 Wytrawny, cierpki i wyklejający potwór. Mocno wysycony. To już nie to piwo co kiedyś. Przez pewien okres czasu było to najlepsze piwo jakie piłem. Zawód.

3.6 Flaska från Mikkeller & Friends Bottleshop. Från 2016, 16,8%. Kolsvart med högt, gräddigt moccafärgat skum. Kaffe, svarta vinbär, askkopp, kärvt, brända toner, torv, toffee, något skogig med hög beska. Old school, rivig och med hög sötma. Känns kanske lite som tiden är förbi för den här sortens öl.

3.9 W aromacie bardzo mocne praliny. W smaku lukrecja ale i fajna goryczka, nie ma słodyczy wole. Piwo niezwykle wytrawne aż wysusza lekko język. Alkohol czuć ale nie tak mocno. Pływają lekki drożdże i to trochę psuje efekt wizualny.

3.9 Pours a very dark brown, still brown head after 4 years old. Smells like fine spirits, brandy like burnt malts. Huge mouthfeel, like motor oil, very rich and bitter, dissolve into your tongue as well as dissolving your tongue. A celebration of malt but also dry and bitter. Wild, one of the biggest stouts I've ever had, reminds me of herbal bitters.

2.2 29.03.19, butelka z datą do 21.09.26 Aromat intensywny, ale nie jakoś bardzo, gorzka czekolada, kawa, paloność. Na tym etapie nie czuć alkoholu. Czarne jak noc, nieprzejrzyste, imponująca, drobna, ciemno brązowa piana. W smaku głównie alkohol, nie ma za dużo miejsca na czekoladę czy kawę. Do tego dochodzi wysoka, bardzo mocno palona gorycz, długo pozostająca. Nasycenie minimalne. Ze względu na alkohol i gorycz niemal niepijalne.

3.9 250ml chalice from tap @ PiBar - Lausanne. 17.5% tap version. Pours a deep oily black that forms a medium thick and solid tan head with good retention for an Imperial Stout. Nose is roasted and booze. Strong notes of roasted malts, licorice and wood. Hints of chocolate and coffee. Sweet upfront taste that becomes quickly quite bitter. Lingering persistent bitterness. Mix of grassy hops and roasted malts. Earthy. Heavy creamy body. Low carbonation. Roasted malts, grass and earth in the afteraste. Good drinkability. Quite booze but still a good IS.

4.2 Bottle from Wvrst, Toronto. Pours an opaque black colour with a small head that reduces into a film. Aromas of dark fruits, prunes and some plums. Taste matches the aroma with some coffee and bourbon notes. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Excellent stout.

4.2 Bottle pours black with a Brown head. Aroma of vanilla, whiskey, chocolate and some oak. Taste is coffee, whiskey, chocolate and licorice.

3.7 Bottle shared at the Columbus tasting 17/01/2019. Thanks to Daniel for this one. A dark choc, oily, halo of tan head. Aroma is sour, bitter black liquorice, salty roast, cherry, solvent. calvedos. . Flavour is composed of medium sweet, burny alcohol, black roast, liquorice, boost, Harsh bitter black. . Palate is thick and chewy, . Lingering, harsh , salty, roast.

2.9 Bottle from LCBO few years old. Pours black some frothy head some lacing. Notes of berries, cherries, burnt ash, port wine. Taste medium sweet, light tart, big bitter. Medium body lively carbonation.

2.5 Misschien het krachtigste bier dat ik ooit gehad heb. Niet alleen qua alcohol (16%) maar ook qua smaak. Wat een bom km je mond. Te heftig voor mij. Zwaar zoet en zwaar hoppig.

1.3 Toń niemal czarna. Piana bardzo obfita, trwała, powolutku opada do atolu z kołnierzem, pięknie oblepia ściankę szkła. Aromat jest raczej delikatny, ciężki do rozłożenia - rodzynki w rumie, daktyle, alkohol, orzechy, czekolada, sos sojowy. Ciało jest półpełne, lekko puszyste. Rozgrzewa mocno przełyk już pierwszym łykiem. W smaku słodki karmel, alkohol, czekolada, rodzynki i paskudna strasznie długa piołunowa gorycz, która niweczy każdą kolejną próbę delektowania się piwem. Strasznie się zawiodłem. Wiedziałem, że z legendami bywa różnie, ale tutaj dostałem nie tylko dobre, nawet nie takie sobie, a paskudne piwo. Wali i smakuje wódą i do tego ta gorycz. Fuj.

3.5 Bottle with about 4 years of age. Aroma has light acetone and booze, some rotten fruit. Taste is sweet, roasty, some spice, maybe cinnamon, a little heat, either from booze or spice. Solid. Better than fresh.

3.9 W aromacie kawa, kawa zbożowa, popiół. W smaku wytrawny popiół przechodzący w mocno goryczkową słodycz, na finiszu mocna, ściągająca goryczka i popiołowa kwaskowatość. Kolor czarny, nieprzejrzyste, brązowa obfita piana. Jak na 16% alkohol ukryty rewelacyjnie. Generalnie piwo ostre, goryczkowe, mega palone, bezkompromisowe, raz na jakiś czas warto sięgnąć po tak hardcore'owego imperial stouta.

3.9 375ml bottle at Alex's. Vintage 2007. Pours an almost black with no head. Oxidized with some roasted malt notes. Taste is very sweet with roasted malt, dark fruits, and coal notes. Nice.

4.1 18% Pitch black, stable dark head. Aroma: dark roasted coffee with bitter spirit, eleuthero (Eleutherococcus senticosus). Sweet with strong grassy and spicy alcohol bitterness. Flavour: complex Mailard products (breadcrust, roasted meat), some prunes, brandy. Extremely intense.

4.3 At a tasting, many thanks, medium dense bubbly mocha head, opaque black color, aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, soya and a hint of prunes, flavor of prunes, dark bread, licorice and a hint of vanila. Amazingly balanced and quite complex, great.

1.3 Version 2017. Mayby the worst RIS I've ever drank. Aroma of cheap wine/champagne, taste, taste is even worst - chjeap wine and rough ashy aftertaste. One thing that is nice here is beautiful head.

4.4 Fat på Mikkeller Stockholm. Tung doft av sherry choklad o läder. Smaken en riktig jäla käftsmäll. Munnen exploderar av smaker. Kraftigt mycket choklad 100% med en viss sötma. 4.6 Small sample from the owner at Beervana, Žilina, many thsnks, Pours dark black liquid, small dense creamy brown head, Aroma: coffee milk liquor, warming alc., nuts, roasty notes, chocolate notes, sweets, chocolate cake with ballentines egg liquor, marvellous, Taste: heavy sweet, medium to heavy bitter, light to medium dour, the same plus more fruity, red forrest fruits, lemon peel, Palate: full body, soft carbonation, oily mouthfeel, long bitter coffee fruity aftertaste, Overall: extremely good, dlightly overhopped/ too much bitter for this style, enjoyed extremely well.

4.0 Can shared at a tasting. Opaque black with a big tan head. Aroma of ash, licorice, burnt grains, soy sauce, smoked, alcohol. Bitter-sweet, coffee, ash, prunes, licorice, carobs, alcoholic and warming. Full bodied, oily. Maybe too extreme, but still great.

4.2 Can shared at a tasting at zvsn's place. Opaque black with big frothy brownish head. The aroma has notes of umami, coffee, roast, licorice, soy sauce and fish. The flavor is bitter and umami, lots of alcohol with notes of chocolate, coffee, licorice, soy sauce, prune and fish, hot. Oily, full-bodied. Great sipping beer.
