3.6 33 cl bottle. Originally rated on 20110604. Pours copper color with a medium sized head. Aroma of hops, pine needles, fruits, grass and mild caramel notes. Flavor of caramel, hops, fruits and hay.Nice and refreshing.
3.2 The beer in the glass is beautiful reddish orange, with a fine, long-lasting head. It smells hoppy, floral, slightly citrus-fruity in the background. Starts lovely hoppy, very flowery and fruity-sweet, with citrus, grapefruit and some grapes. The middle part is very flowery, again with lots of grapefruit and citrus, with some pale malts and a hint of caramel . Goes into a very hoppy-fruity finish with a lot of grapefruit!
3.5 Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour, off white head, hop aroma, decent sessionsble quality lager slight bitter edge some malts.
3.5 Clear light amber colour, white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, grapefruit, light sweet malty touches. Light bitter, sweet malty flavour. Rather light body, hoppy citrus finish, without much bitterness. Nice lager, good session beer. (From 33cL bottle @ Colin’s 2nd Tuesday Tasting @ De Molen)
3.6 Bottle at the De Molen second Tuesday tasting. Poured a clear amber with a long lasting thin white head and broken lace. The aroma is bitter and hoppy and the flavour is pretty much the same. A really tasty bitter and flavour packed session beer.
3.3 Sample at the molten monthly Tuesday tasting . Thin white head. Clear golden pour. Hoppy aftertaste .
3.3 Clean golden body with stable creamy head. Quite sweet and round, apple juice, probably to old for any hop presence. Taste disappoints a bit, fairly dry and straightforward. It’s okay. (At Colin’s De Molen tasting)
3.1 Bottle. Clear light amber color, white head. Hoppy and sweet aroma. Flavor is medium bitter, light watery mouthfeel. Decent lager.
3.5 Slightly hazy amber, off white head. Fruity hoppy aroma for a lager. taste has some rye, hoppy fruit. Low body, nice carbo.
3.5 Bottle at home. Clear dark golden color, big white head. Nice hoppy fruity aroma. Hoppy taste with malty body, medium-high co2, citrus. Nice and refreshing hoppy lager.
3.6 Hazy orange, medium white head. Nose is malt, caramel, and a ton of citric, grapefruity hops. Taste begins with malt and caramel, then develops into a somewhat dry strong hoppy-grapefruity-peachy finish. Medium body, fairly smooth mouthfeel. Nice balance.
3.6 27th November 2012 Hazy amber beer, good bubbly white head. Softish dry palate with a carbonated sting in the tail. Lovely fresh hops - orange and some grapefruit. Minerals. Good hoppy lager.
3.3 33cl bottle. Golden colour with a white head with good lasting. Aroma is hoppy, light malty and floral. Flavor has a decent bitterness with good duration, floral and with light citrus notes. The final is slightly dry with a good presence of bitterness. Medium carbonation and body.
3.5 Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Cloudy amber coloured with orange and tangerine flavours with a creamy mouthfeel and bitter grapefruit on the finish.
2.6 330ml bottle. Hazy orange color. Tiny head, good lacing. Dusty, melon, fruity notes in aroma. Dusty, hops, buttery, grapefruit in flavor. Lager or ale it’s very typical "mikkeller taste".
2.7 330ml bottle (Beer Shop, Tallinn) - shared by Marduk - thanks! Sweet sugar syrup from tinned fruit aroma. Some tinned fruits too - peach and pineapple, some melon. Thin palate, fizzy carbonation. Dull taste, some grapefruitines, but thin on the malts. Crisp palate, refreshing. Very nice attenuation. Drying finish. Pretty good lager, but a bit dead and uninspiring. Way better than macro crap, but leaves me unsatisfied.
3.4 Looks, smells and tastes like an ale but apparently it’s a lager. Aroma is citrus, passionfruit, pine and mint. Flavour is hoppy and sweet, but with an underlying bitter harshness just to help us believe that it actually is a lager.
3.8 Pours a murky orange. Large fluffy head. Aroma packed with tropical fruits. Taste is dry, lots of hops both aromatic and bitter. Long finish. Is this really a lager?! Very good.
4.1 In bottle, thanks Sev! Pours a blonde colour with a decent white head. Aroma of passion fruit, oranges, caramel, peach and apricot. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Nicely bitter with some sesame paste in the linger. Lovely and surprisingly hoppy!
3.5 amber ... white head ... zezty passion and orange nose ... zezty fruits ... juicy fruits ... zezty orange and passion fruit ... nice and juicy
3.8 Tasted at grandma bolton. Amber color. Nice full flavored taste. Really nice ale. Bolton Brew Rocks !!
3.5 Blumig hopfiger Beginn. Hell holzig, angenehme Bitterkeit. Die Bitterhopfigkeit nimmt zu, grasig. Trockene helle Malzigkeit, weiterhin holzig. Ein rundes gelungenes, vielleicht zu trockenes Lager. 11/12/10/11/7/11
3.2 11.2 oz. bottle, pours a hazy orangey amber with a medium white head. Aroma seems more like an amber ale - it’s very malt-heavy, with fruity caramel malts and just a tad of hopping bitterness. Flavour of dry caramel malts, some fruitiness and sort of a dry cardboard like quality that detracts a bit. Certainly a superior lager and very drinkable.
4.4 Golden color...hoppy aromas and taste. An amazing lager that puts the standard very high
3.9 Bottle. Deep golden color, frothy white head. Piny hop aroma with citric notes. Refreshing citric hop flavor. Medium body, medium carbonation. Nice balance, smooth taste. Nice!
3.5 Bottle shared at a tasting at DSG’s place. Thanks Hansen & Zita for this bottle! Pours orange to brown hazy with a nice head, aroma of wine, forest fruits, grapes wort, flavor is bitter and slightly dry with some nutmeg and cardboard, medium bodied
3.4 Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Pours a hazelnut-hued slightly hazy body with a medium off-white head. Nose is mild nutty malt tones, hints of melon and red berries. Taste is caramel, red berries and hints of grass. Bitter piney finish. This is probably a hard beer to categorize, but I’m not too convinced that it should be in the "premium lager" category... Nice though.
3.5 Bottle shared at a tasting at DSG’s place. Thanks Hansen & Zita for this bottle! Pours cloudy amber with a rich, white head. Hoppy oranges, a little patchouli aroma, tastes bitter with some hints of bread. Light body, soft bitter finish, fine carbonation.
