3.8 W aromacie ananas, brzoskwinie i inne owoce tropikalne. Zabrakło mi intensywniejszych cytrusów. . Owocowy smak. Wysoki ekstrakt daje średnia pełnię. Puszyste / kremowe i gładkie. Owocowa goryczka. Gładka delikatnie zalegająca. Aromat mógłby być intensywniejszy. Pijalne z dobrze ukrytym niespełna 9% alkoholem. 3.8.
4.2 Aroma: 7 Medium aroma of malts, caramel, orange, tropical fruit, hops and citrus. Appearance: 5 Opaque golden/amber beer with a slight/medium off-white/beige head. Taste/Palate: 9/4 Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, orange and tropical fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops and citrus. Overall: This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Loads of Citra hops that create a very sweet fruit profile together with the malts. Perfect appearance and a great palate as well, but the aroma couls have been stronger.
3.7 330ml draught at Underdog. Pours deep blood orange with wispy white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, dank, resinous. Flavour is a thick caramel sweet with mild dank pine finish. Smooth and oily. This is not late hopped. Lovely.
4.7 De las mejores IIPA, sabor a naranja, piñas y cítricos, su color es muy opaco amarillizo naranja, sabor increíble.
3.9 Can @Ushers, Edinburgh. Pours orange, big solid white head. Nose is citrus, orange, pineapple and grapefruit as is the taste.
3.2 4 finger off-white head. Quite clear, mid amber coloured beer. Aroma showcases the fantastic Citra hop nicely. Floral, perfumey, citrusfruits combined with peach, mango, passionfruit and a hint of pineapple. Nice biscuity maltbase too. Taste is overripe mango, slight litchi, orange and grapefruit with a big, sweet breadiness to it. Very tasty and "classic" and in a way but is dragged down by the heavy alcohol note. Mouthfeel is a bit oily but drinkable. Medium-low bitterness. Low carbonation, almost flat. Overall: Nice DIPA that unfortunately feels a bit tired. Not only that, but the excessive apparent alcohol is quite annoying most of the sips. The overripe, sweet fruits in this along with the aforementioned alcohol makes you think of a Barley Wine in some of the sips. Would like to try this again but fresh.
3.5 Draught @ Brewdog Helsinki, mikkeller tap takeover. Pours deep golden color with a thick white head. Malty ripe fruity aroma. Minerals, caramel. Abv nicely hidden. Fruity hoppy, grapefruity, citrusy flavors. Not perhaps the freshest example but pretty nice overall.
3.9 330ml can as "Citra IIPA" bought at HK Brewcraft in Central. Looks: Translucent orange honey colour; One finger head with crumpety off-white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Beautiful sticky lacing with very slight carbonation. Aroma: Very fragrant full Ale malt, with strong orange, pineapples, tropical fruits, candied fruits, floral, sugar, strong bread, lemon peels and strong grass. Taste: Close to medium sweet full Ale malt, with caramel, strong grapefruits, strong orange, light candied fruits, citrus, floral, sugar, spices, strong pine, resins, herbs, dry biscuits, strong lime, strong bitter hops and sharp grass. Body: Full body. Thick and oozy palate. Mouth Feel: Rich Ale maltyness in a creamy and quite viscous background. The Citra is not as deadly limey as the Cascade IIPA but still strong and zesty, with good grapefruits and orange compliments the rather nice caramel. Flowery and medium sweet, with strong piney oozy herbal spicyness ended with strong citrus. Very nice! Hoppiness: Strong orange, pineapples, tropical fruits, candied fruits, floral, lemon peels and strong grass in nose. Strong grapefruits, strong orange, candied fruits, citrus, spices, strong pine, resins, herbs, strong lime and sharp grass in taste; Bitterness is very strong for a lasting, High astringent sweet-bitter herbal malty finish. After Taste: Quite dry. Fruity limey and strong bitter to mouth. Comments: Compares to Cascade IIPA, this one?s Citra has more tropical smell and flavors to it, while the ultra limeynes of the former is slightly toned down somewhat, the nice pine and ooze match well with the dynamic grassiness to render this 9% IIPA very drinkable and almost sessionable. Very nice indeed!
3.6 A 330ml can with a best before date of 15th November 2017. Poured into a Mikkeller tasting glass. It was a hazy dark golden orange colour with an almost two finger white head that had decent retention and left nice lacing. Aromas of orange juice, lemon, pine and caramel with hints of mango. Tastes of bittersweet tangy citrus fruit, orange rind, biscuit malt, toffee and hints of honey. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall this was nice and enjoyable to drink. Second favourite to Mosaic, and much better than the Cascade and Simcoe versions.
3.7 Can from Brewcraft, drank with three of the other Mikkelle Single Hop IIPA series: Cascade, Mosaic and Simcoe. Pour was a bit dull and musty looking, tan-orange with a fizzy white head. Smells of lemony citrus, orange, juicy, Taste is drier and less fruit/citrus than the aroma, melon, bit of ester detergent/soap, faint wood chips. Body is bright and smooth, creamy, pine. Nice (even if this can might’ve been a bit old). My 2nd favourite in smell and taste of the 4.
3.7 Can from Brewcraft at home - along with Mosaic, Cascade, Simcoe. This one the haziest by far of the bunch. Not great looking. Doesn’t seem super fresh. Sudsy white head. Aroma is melon and citrus, lychee too (but maybe power of suggestion. Taste is melonand smooth sweet, tart citrus zest, followed by sharp bitter bite with booziness. Better than it looks. Aroma is 2nd best to Mosaic. Taste in the middle somewhere.
3.8 Rough, concentrated oranges and barley wine. This beers punches hard. On the malty side.
3.5 Totally decent, if heavily overrated. Some malty sweetness, then classical hoppy, citrussy flavour. Classic IIPA-style.
4.3 Mcscrooges 32oz growler. $16.99 recommended by growler station. Drank June 16 2016
3.4 Not sure where my final score will end up with this one; Mikkeller’s given us an odd IPA here, and I’m curious as to how it will evolve as it warms. Biscuity, yeasty nose with some lemon and caramel underneath, not all that promising for a DIPA. Looks amazing though, a hazed gold with ample white foam and massive lacing. Taste never quite hits the Citra sweet spot you want; herbal-vegetal hops form a base, while the tropical-citrus notes settle atop caramel and biscuit malts. Grows increasingly sweet as it warms--a good thing, since it takes away from the unexpected savory streak upsetting the hop-malt balance--yet still has a strange, bouillon-esque undercurrent that kinda kills my enthusiasm. Hides its alcohol well, which makes me curious how old this bottle might be. When I started this pint it was a 3.7. Time does it no favors.
4.4 Weedy Mangobomber mit tollem Cascadelike FruitHarzBody und REBigen MKDoppelIPAPower...✨🎆🍄. o,33l CAN vom MIKKELLER ONLINE STORE. 4.1 Közepes, tartós hab, narancssárga szín. Markáns citrusos, grapefruitos, déligyümölcsös, citrushéjas illat. Citrusos, déligyümölcsös, enyhén gyantás ízvilág. Testes, erősen szénsavas, erősen keserű. Gazdag ízvilágú, jól összerakott, szuper IPA.
3.7 Hazy dark orange pour. Wiffs of weed and tropical fruits. Not a flavour monster, but well put together and drinkable. Probably doesn’t need to be 9% though, considering the flavour/abv pay off.
4.0 Can 330ml (BB 15.11.2017). Hazy golden colour with, big white head, great lacing. Aroma is really fresh with tropical fruits notes at the beginning and next with biscuit, malty body. Semi sweet, malty with medium to high, resin, citrus bitterness, intense, a bit astringent, agressive but in good way. Beer is good balanced, without booze, medium to full body but fresh and drinkable, dangerously drinkable. Really good, tasty IIPA.
4.1 Pours cloudy amber with medium high fluffy white head Aromas hoppy of citrusy fruits, hints of mango, peach, apricots, caramel, resin, pine Taste has hoppy and resinous notes of citrusy fruits, mango purée, apricot jam, caramel, pine. Mouthfeel is medium bodied carbonated and sweet with a long lingering bitter finish
3.9 Bottle from alus celle, riga. Hazy dark yellow color, white head. Aroma has mango, hops, some malty sweetness. Malty body, crispy citra hops, mango, fruity notes.
4.2 Can from Westhill service station. Pours a murky orange with a lively head that slowly fades down leaving nice lacing. Aromas of juicy oranges, mango, passion fruit, pineapple and pine needles. Flavour is orange marmalade, peach melba and bitter sweet citrus. You get a lovely pine linger. Solid.
3.7 Semi-hazy amber with foamy off-white had that diminishes quickly. Nose is moderately intense pine resin, mango, papaya and some cat piss. Taste is bittersweet upfront, then evolves to moderately sweet in the aftertaste. Pine, mango, peaches, some pale malts. Medium body, medium carbonation. Smooth and sessionable, despite the ABV. Pours hazy golden with small white sticky head. Aroma: hoppy, citrus, grass, pine, nice maltyness also, cat piss, pine. Taste: sweet at first and then coming medium bitterness, pine, citrus, apricot puree, peaches, resin ,grapefuit. Medium plus body. Grapefruit bitter finish. Nice one.
3.8 Aromat słodkiej czerwonej pomarańczy i specyficznej kwiatowości.
4.1 great balance of fruity aromas n sweetness with a solid bitter IPA base - a good showing from mikkeller
3.5 Smell of mango. Muddy amber colour, high white head. Aroma of alcohol, hops, spruce. Medium sweet.
3.5 Rami Rami is drinking a Citra by Mikkeller at Konstruktorska Business Center Nie do konca wytrawne, spora podbudowa ale oczywiscie citra dajaca fajna kwaskowatosc w odczuciu dominuje. Najsik :)
4.0 Can @ Alus Celle, Riga. Pours hazy golden with small white sticky head. Aroma: hoppy, citrus, grass, pine, nice maltyness also, cat piss, pine. Taste: sweet at first and then coming medium bitterness, pine, citrus, apricot puree, peaches, resin ,grapefuit. Medium plus body. Grapefruit bitter finish. Nice one.
3.7 Can from Deconinck, Vichte - BE. Color: clear golden blond beer with medium carbonation and medium white foam. Smell: lime and grassy notes, pine hops hint. Sweet. Taste: medium body with strong malt backbone balanced with pine and citrus hops. Good attenuation and quiet drinkable. Aftertaste: resin and pine hops with citrus notes. Good balance. Fresh and fruity.
3.6 Can from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours hazy golden, big creamy white head. Strong citrus aroma, bordering CP, with honey and marmelade malts. Taste is moderate sweet malty, marmelade with minty notes, oranges, smooth mouthfeel, good one.
