3.7 High creamy and long lasting white head. Cloudy amber body. Mild fruty aroma with grass notes. CRElatively dry and bitter fruity flavor. Low carbonation. Long bitter sweet finish.
3.6 Bottle from Salling, Aarhus. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - peach and citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 291214
3.4 Pours a cloudy orange, with aroma notes of orange peel, citrus, and grapefruit. Tasting notes include lemon, orange zest, and grapefruit. Not bad, very refreshing.
3.6 12th of December advent beer. Hazy rich gold colour with thin white head. Aroma has citrus, flavour has citrus zest grapefruit. Sharpe and refreshing.
3.2 Bottle at home. Pours hazy orange color, white head. Aroma is citrusy, grapefruit, bit spicy and bit hoppy. Taste is medium bitter, lightly sweet, grapefruit, mango, hoppy.
3.6 Cloudy yellowy pour with a frothy white head that sticks around and leaves a lot of webbing. Fresh pineapple, pine and a candy note on the nose. A little light of flavour, some pineapple and pine but not much else really. Finishes with a persistent bitterness.
3.6 330 mL bottle. Hazy orange amber, big dense off-white head. Big tropical fruit nose. Taste is citrus and fruity with a bit of grassy hops. Not overly bitter.
3.5 330ml bottle 5.9% ABV (as written on bottle) Queen’s Quay LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) November 21, 2014 Mikkeller K:rlek Efterår/Vinter 2013. Part of the 2014 Mikkeller feature at the LCBO. The beer pours a hazed medium gold with a thin white ring for a head. The aroma is sour fruit, grass, grapefruit, and light spice. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grapefruit and apricot, with noticeable grass and yeast flavours. Not a bad beer.
3.9 Pours hazy pale yellow, fluffy head laces the glass. Aroma is sharp citrus grapefruit pith. Taste has a light grainy malt body firm bitterness and lots of grapefruit.
3.7 Bottle, shared with TylerDurden. Cloudy light orange-gold with a very thick white head. Bright citrus and tropical fruit nose. Lively palate, lightly sweet malts and quenching tropical fruit hop character, leaning heavily toward citrus and fresh pineapple. Moderately bitter finish. Very nice.
3.5 330ml bottle. Cloudy golden with a frothy white head. Flavors are cereals, bread, honey, peach, pineapple and orange with grassy notes. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, slick texture.
3.8 Bottle from the LCBO. Turbid yellow-orange with a small white head. Aroma of pineapple, citrus, apricot, hint of pine, light honey biscuit. Flavour is big a fruity, with a lot of pineapple, some sweet orange, light peach hints, citrus peel finish. Medium-light body with a good level of carbonation. A very nice, fruity, hop-forward pale ale - just not sure if it was worth $4.60 for a 330 ml bottle given that I can find a few equally good local pale ales for a fair bit less.
3.4 (bottle) hazy orange amber colour with a tall white head; aroma of stewed fruit, tropical fruit; dry and bit spicy flavour with a long medium bitter finish
4.0 Bottle from the lcbo. Hazy yellow pour, with a sticky white head. Aroma is super juicy citrus. Lots of lemon, and orange zest, with juicy lemon drop candies, pineapple. Mouth feel is slightly creamy, and the carb is spot on. The finish is low on bitterness, with just another lovely flavor wallop of citrus zest, and various citrus juices. A beautiful pale ale.
3.8 Bottle from LCBO. Aroma of swaety funky citrusy American hops. Delicate juicy fruit with very little malt and a bitterness that lasts the whole way through. Extra dry fonish. Tasty.
3.2 330 mL bottle. Pours hazy honey with a nice white head of foam that lingers. Big pineapple nose, lychee, passionfruit, herbal coriander, a touch of grainy malt. Fruity sweet seeming, but certainly dry with a nicely bittered finish. Light body and painfully high carbonation (bad bottle?). Aroma reminds me of Nickelbrook Naughty Neighbour
2.7 23.10.2014, 0,33l bottle @ home: Big slightly fizzy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly grassy, lawn, soil, moss, leafs, hops, hay, weeds, light malts, bark. Taste is slightly harsh grassy, soil, lawn, bark, old leafs, harsh hops, wood, light malts, minerals. Longlasting bitterness, slightly dry harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.
3.8 A standard Belgium 330 bottle. And I suspect, though our Canadian label doesn’t say 2013 but does have the same gal, that what we have at the LCBO is not the Mikkeller K:rlek Forår/Sommer or the Winter 2014, which has passion fruit, but this one with pineapple. I’ll move this over if I’m proved wrong. Pours a golden orange as murky as the logic behind the benefit of having a government-run monopoly in control of all the beer in the province. A finger of slightly off-white head. Smells of hay malts, honey and citrus hops. The taste is grassy malts and lots of citrus/tropical fruit with hops. I’m getting clementines, pineapple, orange, and the hops leans towards citrus too. The aftertaste is bitter and a little acidic. A little like orange pith (the white stuff on the orange). Overall a good beer. Different. I like it but not blown away.
3.5 Cloudy yellow orange pour. Big citrus aroma and taste. Grapefruit, pineapple, peach, honey sweetness. Medium body.
3.7 Pours cloudy beige to light amber in colour. Very citrus heavy aroma. On the palate it is medium bodied but pack a fair amount of hops. Very tasty stuff.
3.0 330ml bottle from the lcbo looks like a wheat beer nice aroma tastes like a pineapple beer ok but not the best
3.4 CItrus and pineapple, mango and apricot. Tasty well crafted for something that needs to taste good a year later.
3.4 330 mL bottle from the LCBO, served in a stem glass. Pours hazy golden with a large, fluffy off-white head that fades to a thin remnant and leaves a small amount of coarse lace. The nose has huge pineapple notes, along with citrus, honey, pale malts and grain. The flavour is mildly bitter throughout with significant citrus-pineapple notes, slight resin and a touch of honey. The finish is medium in length with delicate piney hops. On the palate it is light-medium in body with a milky texture and average carbonation. Overall, a decent pineapple pale ale. Not as heavily hopped as I would have expected from the brewer, but the pineapple is a nice touch. 2014-10-16
3.6 330 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a lightly hazy golden colour with modest-sized, lasting, white head. Aroma is zesty grapefruit and tangerine with hints of resin and a little graininess. Flavour has a nice burst of tropical fruit tangerine and grapefruit pith especially, but also a little peach, some resiny character and a light graininess. Lightly drying bitterness in finish. Rather nice.
3.6 330ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a slightly murky, light orange with a one finger, white head that sticks to the glass. Aroma is a very nice orange citrus with pine, resin, and a hint of bread. Taste is bitter but semi-balanced. Watery orange citrus with bits of pine and resin. Medium body with a medium-high carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a sight bit of resin over top of a frothy carbonation and a dry finish. Overall pretty tasty. Orange citrus mixed with pine and resin.
3.7 Bottle at home. Pours clear golden amber with a white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma of citrus fruits, pine, resin. Taste is hoppy bitter, fruity, citrus, resin, oily. Long bitter hoppy aftertaste. Nice.
3.9 Bottle enjoyed at Cotteridge Wines tasting room; clear golden amber pour with a frothy white head, zesty citrus aroma, taste has grapefruit, tangerine, some straw, lemon zest, light caramel, bitter finish.
3.5 Certamente il naso è davvero tanta roba, ti avvolge e ti invoglia alla bevuta in un attimo. In bocca molto equilibrata e tanto bevibile.
4.1 Bottle from Appellation Wines, Dalry. Hazy golden body with a thick white head. Excellent lacing. Bright aroma of lemon, lime, and yeast. Flavour of zesty grapefruit, tonic water, pale malt and lemon sherbet. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Sharp and citric - simple and tasty.
3.5 Backlog. Pours semi hazy yellowish orange with a big fluffy head that dissipates slowly, leaving lots of lacings. Aroma is freshly tropical, with loads of orange, pine, grape, slight pinetree and resin. Taste is initially fruity with pine and grape, some sweet malt, ends in a bitter resinois way. Body is light to medium, soft carbo, soft slight oily texture. Good, albeit one-dimensional.
